The tongue opens really wide to allow my kid with a high instep to get his feet in the shoes and they're really comfortable for him. I wasn't ready to move him out of stride rite, but New Balance is the only shoe I've found that fits him.

My son is 9 and wears the xw with his AFOs. They are easy to put on and off, fit good, and are durable. We have these in different colors - best shoe for his AFOs, and he really likes them!

I love these shoes! They are stylish, simple, and the xw width is perfect for my son that wears AFOs (foot braces). It's hard to find shoes for his AFOs that slip on and off easily, and the velcro strap stays on across the shoe.

Fit is fine. This brand tends to run wide for my kid's feet. But this one is ok. The toe box is wide which isn't the cutest look, but the shoes are also less expensive than others that he likes more.

These shoes fit with my sons DAFO perfectly. They do not seem to bulking or wide. Wish they were just a tad wider but it’s still easy to get his foot in and out.

Bought these for back to school shoes for my 10 year old grandson...He loved the shoes..says they are very comfortable..and he can run with abandon and not have to worry about shoes coming untied. Good looking shoe just not comfortable for my son

My kids loved this sneaker. But it was half a size big for both of them. Otherwise, great. We kept the shoes.

My 7 year old grandson told me these shoes were “amazing”. He says they are very comfortable and loves them. He is very picky about shoes, so this is a big win for us.

My son loves them and thinks they are very comfortable. Sometimes he has to stop to pull the tounge up because they are sliding down, however we bought his a little bit big with room to grow and that could be why that happens.
