Just the smell of the leather before I unwrapped the paper was awesome! I hesitated on spending that much money on a pair of boots. My most expensive pair of boots to date have been Harley Davidson boots! The fit was a little tight across the top of my foot, but I'm sure that would be better after wearing. I am sending them back for a replacement though. On the left shoe the leather had multiple wrinkles on the top of the shoe and there was an obvious color difference in the shoes. One was a beautiful cognac and the other was much lighter, almost tan. Hope the new ones are right because I love the look of the bootie.

The Carson Piping bootie is a gorgeous beige suede. Made very well. They are a gift for our daughter for Christmas so I can’t comment on the sizing. She has a collection of Frye boots and now these will be a new addition. Love shopping on Zappos. Great customer service and you can’t beat their shipping.

Love that leather smell as I opened box. Fit perfectly. Comfortable and gorgeous just like everything Frye does. Easy on and off w zipper.

Bought 1/2 size smaller based on past experience with Frye boots and other reviews. I usually buy size 7; and the size 6.5 was perfect (I use thin socks). Little in the way of arch support, but boots are comfortable right out of the box. Beautiful boots.

The top of the boot that hits your shin is a little stiff and uncomfortable but hoping the leather will loosen as I wear them.

Purchased these in gray and they are just beautiful! They fit true to size-wearing them with a fairly thick sock. Very comfortable and well made. Love the prompt shipping from Zappos!

I love these boots! The color is beautiful, really unique, and they're not too western-looking. I usually wear a 9 and have high arches so have to wear inserts in most shoes. I ordered a 9 and 8.5 based on other reviews and ended up keeping the 8.5. They fit perfectly in length although they were a little snug in the width, especially with thicker socks. With regular socks, there is enough room for my inserts and after wearing just a couple of times the leather has molded to fit my feet perfectly. I appreciate the lightly-padded insole- it really makes them extra comfortable. The quality is excellent, and it really shows.

These boots are perfect! I’m usually a size 8, but ordered the 7-1/2 based on reviews. They fit like a glove. Also, my feet are on the wider side but I’m not feeling any problem at all. I wore them for hours the first time and did a lot of walking - no blisters! As others mentioned, the shaft is quite short but I prefer that. The color is a true tan color, not grayish and not golden or caramel. They’re exactly what I was looking for-highly recommend!

I ordered these boots in 7.5 medium and they fit like a glove. For reference, I sometimes wear 8s and depending on how a shoe fits, might go down to 7.5 or up to 8.5. After reading reviews, I ordered the 7.5 and it’s spot on. I also own 2 other pairs of Frye boots which are in a size 8. Hope this helps!

Cute bootie. The leather is soft and already felt broken in. Just reordered 1/2 size down from my usual size 7, though. The size 7 was just too big.

Love this boot. Great Frye quality. I feel that they run a bit large. I am between an 8.5 and 9 in Frye. Zappos did not have the 8.5, so I ordered the 9. Sadly they are too large and will be going back.
