Amazingly comfortable. In case you are wondering about sizing, I take a 7.5 Medium in the Terra Fi4 that I purchased last year. The size7 in the Hurricane XLT2 Alp fit perfectly. Initially, I was very hesitant to order a sandal that didn't come in half sizes, but I read somewhere on the Zappos site that if you take a 7.5 in a Merrill or a Keen, order a 7. One thing that I liked a lot about my older Terra Fi4 is the wider sole that extends out from on all sides. May make feet look a little larger, but the design can't be beat for spreading out the shock absorption. Fortunately, the Alp has the same design. The sole is not as thick and heavy as my Fi4 but hopefully will be enough cushioning for long walks on 72 year old feet. Cushioning would be my only worry about such light-weight sandals. The straps are soft and comfortable. I only had to adjust the ankle straps once to get a perfect fit. The sandal is more light-weight than my old Fi4. Regarding the arch support, seems like the same amount as in the Fi4 so I would have to call it somewhere between moderate and excellent. I also ordered the new Terra Fi5, which hasn't arrived yet as I write this review. If that one fits as well as the Alp, it will be a hard decision regarding which one to keep. I already have 3 pairs of Terra Tivas, which are good for walking except that those thin straps bother me on long walks. I don't think that will happen with the Alp. When I purchased the Alp, I didn't see any reviews on Zappos, especially about sizing, so I hope my review will be helpful to others.

Tevas seem the best athletic sandals, better than Eccos.

I really liked this sandal, but... It seemed to have good support, but was just too wide for my narrower feet. I'll try the Tirra again which runs a little narrower but is slightly less comfortable. I really liked the softness of the straps on this style. I wish Teva had some narrower styles....

Baptized these in the Rogue River this morning! I have wider feet and these fit. I like the extra sole around the edge for a bit of protection. There is enough strap to accommodate my higher instep. The neoprene adds just enough cushion and shape. Once the honest to goodness real buckles are adjusted (I hate velcro) easy on and off. These have just a bit more of protection all the way around for my scarred up sensitive feet.

There weren't any reviews yet, so I took a chance to try these sandals. I thought the picture looked super cute, but once I got them and tried them on, it was a different story. First off I'm a half size, true 7.5, an dnormally they say to size up to an 8. Hmmmm, way longer than my toes, and I have long toes. I could order a size 7, but didn't like the style on my foot. It looked like one of those boots people have to wear when they break a toe. Just my opinion,,,I'm sure they would look super cute on the right feet. That being said, the foot bed was very comfy!

Whoever designed these shoes did not think about wearing them. When I tightened the middle strap, the extra material hung onto the floor. And the shoes felt like paddles on my feet. Back they go!

This shoe is awesome!!! I have a hard time finding shoes to fit, I do need a wide fit on my right foot but my left foot not so much you can adjust this shoe to fit how you need it to fit. The arch support is good, not as good some other shoes that didn't work for me because of the width of the shoes but this shoe is still good. I like the wide sole of the shoe it gives me more stability on my feet I fell and broke my ankle and needed a shoe that I felt more stable on outside while I am working. I have bought 2 pairs of these shoes

At 65 years of age, I have a lot of foot issues - flat feet, over-pronate, bunions, plantar fasciitis. They're just worn out! I usually have to buy shoes in larger sizes and in a wide width because of the bunions, and I never buy shoes without trying them on and walking around the store for an extended time in them. However, my two pairs of trusty old (about 20 years old) Tevas were really looking sad, so I decided to take a chance on the Alps. I ordered my normal size 7, because that's what my old ones were. So they arrived, I adjusted them to my feet (3 straps), and oh my goodness...perfection! They don't rub, pinch, squeeze, or hurt in any way. The straps are soft and cushioned on the inside of the heel and "bunion"straps. The soles are cushy and feel good on my skin. The arrangement of the straps give a secure fit so I don't have to "hang on" with my toes. I've worn them daily hiking in the woods with my dogs, shopping, driving, and they never hurt my feet, no matter how many hours I have them on. For me, this is just amazing - I normally can only wear any pair of shoes for a couple hours without having to change into different ones because of pain. I love these Alps!!! Needless to say, I ordered a pair in another color immediately, while they were still on sale. Wonderful sandals!

These shoes are the most comfortable pair of sandals I have ever owned. They are like a sandal version of tennis shoes (comfort wise) if that makes any sense.

I love Teva sandals. I prefer buckles, so this was the only pair that I could find in women's. Please keep buckles available.

I love Teva sandals. I have about 6 pairs of Teva sandals, some in the same style but different colors. They are the perfect sandal for travelling. I can walk all day and long distances in them. So comfy! The reason why I bought my first pair is because they had the perfect arch for me. I had plantar fasciitis a few years ago and my doctor said to buy shoes with a firm arch support and Tevas have this. Never stop making this perfect shoe!

I was disappointed that I could not reorder the Teva Sanborn, which I have been wearing for several years. I chose the Hurricane XLT2 as the next best alternative, as I am sold on the comfort and quality of Teva sandals. The Hurricane is not as stylish as the Sanborn, but it is secure and comfortable, and looks to have the same footbed which is durable and washable. If between sizes, do not order up: I wear an 8.5 Wide normally, and found the Hurricane size 8 to be the right length, with plenty of adjustability in the straps. These are the right sandals for long walks, which is what I bought them for.

I try to walk every day, and Tevas are my "go to shoe" for this activity. They're also great for travel where comfort is my chief concern. An added plus is that I actually like the way they look: "undorky".

What a great surprise! I have been wearing a pair of Teva Terras and enjoying how lightweight and supportive they are for just walking my dogs out and about. I purchased them in Canada a few years ago on a whim and because they were so much more comfortable than the Classics I had owned many years ago. These too have proven great, a bit more flexible in the sole than the Terras (wasn't sure since I have plantar issues from time to time) but still decent in the arch for pronating feet. I think all of the straps in key foot areas help a lot. I wear 7.5 and the 7 has been perfect, just the right length. I now have increasingly wedge-shaped feet, with a flattening arch but the front straps JUST are long enough to accommodate my need for a wider toe bed and the other strapping keep my heels comfy. There is a lot of padding in the heel and it felt a bit strange and low-hanging initially but after a little wear, I hardly noticed it. I will comment as someone else did, that Teva might have made the straps over the toe area a bit longer! I am fortunate, there is enough for the very front of my footbed.
I'd also recommend:
Some styles of Ecco, Wolky, Teva, Clarks, Reiker.
