I love Teva Verra sandals. They are my go-to and the gold standard for comfort in my every day summer wardrobe. But the Verra is a little too utilitarian looking for some situations (dates with hubby, slightly dressy family gatherings, church...) and I was SO excited to see a leather sandal with the Verra footbed. At last! Maybe I can have a girlie spiffy little sandal with all the comfort of my faves! Insert a sad face here. The Elizada is pretty comfy, but not quite as much cushioning as the Verra. Style-wise? Meh. It's not as flirty/girlie/spiffy as I was hoping for. It has that same utilitarian vibe and the straps just didn't cross my foot in an attractive manner. If I needed a 2nd pair of sandals to fill the same wardrobe slot as the Verra, I would have kept them. But I don't. I need an all-day date-worthy sandal that won't leave me hobbling by dinner. If you haven't already lost your heart to another pair of Tevas, get them! They won't let you down.

I wanted to love this shoe. I was looking for a functional sandal that was stylish enough to take on a summer cruise, for shore excursions. This shoe ticked the boxes—comfort, style, support. However, the footbed was just a tad too long. I also purchased the Taos Trophy. I definitely liked the strappy toe design of the TEVAs more. However, side by side, the TEVAs and the Taos shoes are the same size, but I felt like the TEVAs had a big gray gap between my toes and the end of the shoe. The footbed on the TEVAs is gray. If it had been nude, it would not have been such an eye catching thing, but because they felt big AND looked big, I tried on the Taos shoes. Those fit better (and I’ll be reviewing those, too). The one thing I think could have really been better is the width of the strap going over the ankle. It’s just a tad too wide—too utilitarian in style. But if you might end up in water (briefly!) at some point, that might be okay. (I don’t think they’re made for rafting or long periods of immersion in water.) That said, these are still GREAT shoes, they felt really comfortable and if the fashion aspect isn’t your highest concern, these will probably work out well. I’m sure they’d be great if you’re spending more time outdoors. They have a really nice, soft, almost felt-y fabric sewn around the inside back of the shoe (the heel-holding part), which feels really good and would really relieve the kind of rubbing you get from all-leather shoes. These are leather uppers, but that soft fabric on the heel but was a really nice touch. But when it came down to it, my feet just looked a little weird in these. I think it was the gray footbed. :(

So cute!! But no support, would not be able to take long walks in this shoe.

For the sale price... Its a keeper. Love the style and the red color. Wish the toe area had some adjustments possible. But my suddenly narrow foot will be ok and the straps will probably not stretch too much. The sole, however, is VERY flexible. Not the normal support of the Tevas I have bought in the last 10 years. I fear it will wear out quickly. For now, it will get me through until the chill hits the air.

This is a really beautiful pair of shoes and I really hoped they would work. I have a narrow size 11 foot with a need for arch support and a large bunion on one foot. The ankle strap fit fairly well for a medium shoe with velcro closure with a decent overlap of the sticky parts together. The front straps leave a lot of wiggle room, more than I would like. I still would have kept them except for the arch support is not enough for my problematic feet and being sandals there is no way to add in arch support that I am aware of.... So sadly, they are going back.

Good ol' Tevas!! Love the sandal, love the color (pecan) and love the fit.

Very cute shoe! A little too big for me though.
