Very sad to have to return these. There are so many good points, but ultimately, the toe box is just too squat for me, and I can feel the top of the toes rubbing the top as I take each step. I can't risk getting rubbed raw there. The good points about this model - 1. The heel grips me perfectly. I've tried a half dozen brands, (good brands like Keen, Merrell, etc) and only this brand (and Altra) grip my heels securely. All the other brands tend to be too loose on the heels. 2. The footbed is really comfy - soft and cushy (but not mushy.) 3. The "drop" is less than other brands, i.e. the heel is not lifted as high inside the boots. It's not zero-drop like some brands taunt, but I can immediately feel my feet being more flat (i.e. less lifted) and my feet love that. (Who needs "high-ish" heels in a hiking boot!) 4. Really well made, good quality built. Great style and color too. Wish the toe box were bigger all around. For those with more slender toes, definitely give this boot a try. I wish I could have kept them, but I know I'll regret not getting that extra toe room for me.

Very impressed with this boot. I think it’s a much better fit with better cushion and support than comparable merrells, which feel clunky to me. This boot feels like more of a natural, and less obtrusive than a traditional hiking boot. It has the comfort of a running shoe with the stability of a hiking boot. Perfect for light to moderate trail hiking (my hikes are generally less than 5 miles, on varied terrain). It does run a little large and a little narrow, but once I sized down a half size, the fit was incredible (my feet are narrow with high arches.)

Trying on, knew right from the start. Immediate comfort. Wider footbed, smooth, no narrowness around heel. Chose an 8 1/2, to wear with a thicker sock for warmth. 8 would work for a lighter sock and summer walks or hikes. Consistent comfort after walking nd hiking 20 miles in a week. 7 miles roundtrip up Mt. Rainier in Washingtom State. Extreme comfort right from the fist step. Can't say enough about how happy I am with this boot. May have to buy a spare pair. Just said goodbye to my old Asolos 20 years old! For $159, I think this is an excellent boot.

I'll be able to give better input once I really use them, but I was impressed right out of the box--the fit, comfort and weight of the boot. I had never heard of Asolo. I needed a boot to hike El Camino and wanted something lightweight. My fabric Ahnus needed to be replaced (I also own a pair of leather Ahnus that I wear in the winter). Sadly, Ahnus have changed since Teva bought them. So I gave up and tried on a bunch of different brands (a frustrating quest). I did like two of the Solomon models (they run big!) but they were just too heavy for this trip. Then I came across the Asolo on Zappos and figured I had nothing to lose (Thank you for free shipping Zappos!). I knew as soon as I put them on that I'd be keeping them.

Love these boots that I recieved but size was way off for me. Usually I wear 7.5 womens and I had to send the boots back for a size 6.

Runs wide and larger than traditional Asolo styles. Sadly, no longer made in Romania. Now, made in Vietnam. Brand quality is gone. I only wear Asolo hiking boots, but not the same shoe these days. Color is TEAL. Screaming teal.

I love these right out of the box. They are lightweight, nice looking hiking boots. They feel more like a sneaker with better traction and ankle support. Note, I don't take strenuous hikes because we're usually dragging around a 3 year old, so I can't speak to how they fare on more rugged trails.

I love these and would have kept but sadly the back rubbed my heel where the seams come together. Normal size 8 for me and these were almost too big but would have been fine especially with thick socks. Beautiful shoes, great ankle support and padding, very flexible and light weight.

These fit true to size, I wear an 8 1/2 to 9, I at first ordered a 9 thinking for hiking I don't want it to fit super snug since my feet will swell a bit when hiking. The 9 was way too big so I called to exchange and received the 8 1/2 the next day. I wore them for a couple of short hikes, no blisters or sore spots. I just took them out on a 5 1/2 mile hike this weekend, they were great. No blisters, there were some spots I had to go through some water/boggy patches and my feet stayed nice and dry. In the water and rocky spots traction was excellent, the wetness did not affect the traction at all. Super impressed with these hiking boots, would definitely recommend!

Asolo always fit great for me right out of the box. Bought these and immediately wore them on an eight hour trail building volunteer project. Comfy all day and had no issues. I would consider these like tennis shoe style with some ankle support. Definitely not like a stiff hiking boot ankle support, but they are a nice pair of boots!

Wow, the sizing is WAY off. I usually wear an 8 to 8.5 in hikers, so I ordered an 8 based on the other review saying these ran big. No kidding! The 8 was easily a size too big. Then I ordered a 7 — which is way too small! Still deciding whether to make another attempt with a 7.5. It’s a beautifully constructed shoe and I have another pair of Asolos that have lasted me six years and are still kicking, so they feel like a good investment — if I can just find a pair that actually fits!

These seem like they would be good boots but they didn't fit. I wear an 8.5 and am a true 39 in european sizing. Inside these boots it's marked 8.5 USA and 40&2/3 EU. They are definitely a 40&2/3 and not 8.5 as they were quite a bit too large.

I love these boots (bought in the teal color). Great fit, lightweight but good support. I have issues with balance and stability, these have been my favorite shoes since purchasing. I hope Zappo can restock in both colors and I will buy another 2 pairs.

Wonderful lightweight supportive boots. I bought these to replace a much worn pair of Merells. I was pleasantly surprised that these feel lighter but are still supportive. I wore these for several 2+ hr hikes in the Nevada desert recently. There was no break in period and my feet and (weak) ankles felt very supported.

I did what I normally never do, wearing it out to a hike right off the bat from the box. Like everyone else said in the reviews, when first put on, the shoe box feels pressured. But within half hour of wearing it, it opened up and shaped to my foot, therefore causing no issues whatsoever. Very comfortable and easy with lacing too.

I am a true 8.5 and these fit like a dream. I was very nervous to purchase my first new pair of hiking boots in 20 years off a website without trying them on, but these are awesome. I wore them around the house for a few days and then wore them on 2 shorter hikes (because it's been so incredibly cold where I live). They are very comfortable, there were no blisters or other issues, and all in all I am extremely happy. I like the ankle support on these as well.

Needed a pair of hiking/snow boots that I could wear to the office (because every day is casual Friday when you’re the only person in the building most of the time). Fit well right out of the box, no blisters at the end of the first day. Good ankle support without being too stiff. Width of the toe box wasn’t tight as noted by others, I have a medium wide foot, narrow heel. The color is interesting so I’ve decided it doesn’t matter they don’t match the shirt I’m wearing that day. Not sure how they will do on slick surfaces, but they are perfect for tromping across campus or down the hallway to check equipment in the lab.

From the moment I put these on, they were SO comfortable. I must have ordered nine pairs of hiking shoes from you, looking for ones that fit. Of those, most were too tight, and one had no support, but these were wonderful. I wore them outside for the first time today, and I was delighted! Never tried Asolo's before, but I want to know more about them. And I love the color!

These are great for light hiking or casual wear in hot weather. Great style and super comfortable for my high arch, wide foot. But I was looking for something to keep out foxtails and California grasses on trails and these look like foxtail magnets. Not my first choice for anything with a creek or rocks. I'm sending them back because I was looking for a heavier duty hiking boot. If I were looking to replace my lightweight Keens, I would keep these. Bonus points for awesome color and great style.

The Asolo Landscape GV ML didn't work for me. I am an 8 or 8.5 in most shoes and boots, so I purchased a size 8, which fit like a very short/small 8 (about 1/4 size small). This boot was also a bit narrow in the toe box, which is why I didn't exchange for an 8.5. They seem to be well made, light and I suspect that they would feel like a trail running shoe when wearing them on a hike.

It looks like the US and European sizes don’t match, I wasn’t sure whether I should order based on my EU size or US. It was too big and had to return. Other than that looks like a good shoe

I really wanted to love these because I Loved the color And the lines of the shoe. They did not seem to have a lot of support were kind of soft and mushy in a nice way like a sneaker but for a hiking boot I wanted more support. ?
