I have to say the Gaviota 2 shoes changed my life! I used to walk 4-5 miles a day for years, but about 4 years ago, I started having pain in my right hip and heel. I went to Doctors, Podiatrists, and Physical Therapists searching for any relief. I had $500 orthotics made and even tried dry needling for relief. I have bought MANY brands of shoes and insoles, searching for relief. I have very flat feet and overpronate. I've also been called a "heel striker" meaning I naturally stomp with each step. A friend recommended I try these shoes. I thought they were pricey, but was willing to give it a try with the money back guarantee. I ordered a half size up for plenty of room for my toes. Within 24 hours MY PAIN WAS COMPLETELY GONE. I'm not exaggerating. I could walk 4-5 miles again 6x a week with NO PAIN! I got my first pair in August, and in mid-November the pain started gradually returning so I ordered another pair. I waited 2 weeks, but nothing arrived. I called and customer service said there was no record of my order, even though I had an order number. Weird. (I was never charged.) I ordered them from another site and got them quickly. If they are discontinuing this style I need to STOCK up on my size ASAP.

This is the best shoe I have found for my plantar fasciitis. I have tremendous support, and comfort, and no further issues with my PF, since I've been wearing them regularly. The women's selection was quite limited, so I purchased a pair of men's. They run a bit small, so I recommend ordering 1/2 size larger than usual (I'm normally a 9 in women's, 7 in men's, but had to get a 7.5 in men's).

I wore a pair of these shoes all summer long until there is hardly any tread on them. I purchased this pair to replace the ones I wore out.

I've been a loyal Brooks customer for many years, but after developing chronic plantar fasciitis I've found that I need serious cushioning in my shoes as well as support since I also overpronate. I got a pair of Hoka hiking shoes and was so impressed that I decided to try these for running, and I'm in love! I do use an orthotic insert, which does reduce some of the nice pillowy soft feel underfoot, but my PF doesn't flare when I wear them so I'm ok with that. Only had these a month so can't comment on durability yet, but so far I've got very happy feet!

Very comfortable and supportive for my 12 hr shifts.

I was a runner for 40 years until I crunched my knee at age 60 in a mountain race. I now have no cartilage in the right side of my right knee. I've been able to maintain my weight and fitness fast walking 4 miles a day on my treadmill. I've used several different models of Hokas but Gavioti 2 seems the best for me. And they feel great.

I have problem feet & I can wear these all day. Took a little bit to get used to the wide base, but the comfort level was great from day one.

I tried three different pair of Hoka's and finally found a pair that fit just right. If you buy Hoka's you can return them up to 30 days later. Thankfully, they put up with my picking out the right shoe and allowed me to return the other one's that did not fit just right.

I order these, not because I'm a runner, but because I have mid-foot arthritis. It's the only shoe that allows me to walk without pain.
