I had foot surgery so I wear it every day and it gives me the support I need. Actually purchase a half size bigger since I have to put an insert in the shoe.

I love hokas and have a lot of them. This Akasa in wide is super comfy. Some of the other Hokas are a little narrow for my very wide feet, this one has a very wide toe box, but my heal doesn't slip, so it's perfect. The under toe cushion is a little bit less than the super cushioned Hokas I run in, but I am using this for the elliptical, and it feels great. I will try a wide super cushioned style next, and then I should be able to run all day! :-)

This is a very comfortable sneaker. It's lightweight and has terrific support. I am usually a 9 to 9-1/2 Medium width. I ordered a 9M and had to return it for an 8-1/2. I again ordered a medium but it is slightly snug in the smaller size. This is one of the only pair of sneakers I've found that I am comfortable in all day.

These shoes are very comfortable and well cushioned. They seem lighter and less clunky than most other Hokas.

I always consider myself as a Bondi girl. I still love Bondi for running however they are not as good for a HIIT or kickboxing workout. These Akasa shoes are just perfect and very comfortable. I can tell a different during jumping and lateral movements. I used them for all non-running workouts. These are such awesome shoes.

Definitely buy the more expensive ones with more cushioning. This is just a regular sneaker.

I love everything about this shoe! It's like walking on air. But they started squeaking every time I step in them. That's why I didn't give 5 stars.

Zappos keeps asking for a review, but I returned these. I bought HOKA One One Bondi 7's instead. I need a bigger toebox. But if you have average toe box area needs, these are an excellent choice. They are a bit sleeker than some of their other models, that's why a chose to try them in the first place. All Hoka's have advantages, I don't buy any other brand anymore.

I love the look of these shoes. This is actually my fourth pair. Having said that... The first three were because I couldn't seem to get the sizing right. I ran in them too much to return, so kept trying another size. My third pair was the closest, but here is the odd thing. My right foot is bigger than my left. I've always struggled with sizing because of that. Yet, the right shoe was much larger than the left. Odd? And the ankle support is only so-so. I was do for a new pair, and purchased a different color this time. This fit is probably the best of all four, but still not as much support as I need for running. Especially around the ankle. I get a lot of ankle pain. This is a really good looking shoe (which is probably why I keep coming back), but it will be my last pair. Going back to Brooks.

Very comfortable and stylish shoes, but my only issue with them & it might be user error is that loosen up as I'm working out in them, eventually leading me to re-tie my shoes mid workout. Not a big deal considering they are comfortable.

I followed the size chart and went with a 9 instead of my normal 8 1/2. They are a tad loose. Not enough to deal with sending them back but next time I order, I will go with my normal size.

The fit was perfect even allowing for the development of a bunion. However, I need a lot more padding on the ball of my foot.

Hands down the most comfortable shoes I have ever purchased! Bought 2 more pairs a week later! Only downside...the toe trim is already starting to separate from the fabric in less than a month. I'm not doing trail running so I was a little surprised with that.

I feel comfortable wearing them, but not as comfortable as my Clifton’s from 2014. I can still wear them all day. I had ankle replacement surgery in 2014, and those shoes are life-savers. I just bought another pair of Clifton’s in black. Boring. But nobody has the lunar blue in a 7.5 medium width. If anyone has a pair in stock, I sure would love to order them. I love them in that color, I’m 73, and I love color! Keep on making the Hoka brand! Awesome!

Comfortable and made well! I am pleased with these shoes. I would like to have a little more cushion at the ball of the foot but otherwise they are perfect.

After hearing great things about this brand, I was looking forward to trying them out. I stand all day at work with eight to twelve hour shifts so I needed a shoe that didn’t leave me feeling tired and aching at the end of the day. Unfortunately, this shoe was not the right one for me. Before the end of the shift my feet, legs, and back were killing me, worse than my old worn out sneakers. They are fine for short walks in the neighborhood and working around the house, but not for a long day on the job.

I bought these shoes mainly because they are black so I could wear them at work. I also needed good gym shoes for CrossFit and functional fitness workouts. For running, I prefer the shoes that are really cushy because it helps with my bad knee but these pair are great for work and gym. They are still comfortable and I love wearing them when I am not running.

I was looking for a shoe for my high impact aerobics classes. My criteria was that it be plush, "bouncy", and that it provide the flexibility I need to move in different directions. My Bondi 6 was just too bulky and difficult to do lateral movements that are required when doing aerobics. Another important criteria was that it be wide width. The Hoka representative recommended that I purchase the Akasa. I purchased it a half size smaller than my Bondi 6, and it fit perfectly. It is slightly less wide than the Bondi 6, so if you have really wide feet that might be a factor in your decision. The Akasa met all of my criteria! An added bonus is that it is an attractive shoe and much sleeker than the Bondi 6, without compromising the incredibly plush and "bouncy" feel of the Bondi 6. The Akasa is now my go-to shoe for everything! I would have given the Akasa five stars, but I wish it came in more colors. Hoka has done a great job of creating unique and fun colors for their other products. I just wish that they would do the same with the Akasa.

This shoe feels great. I work on my feet 9 hrs a day which has lead to foot problems. I also have a wide toe box and I don't feel like these crush my little toe. However, this is the 3rd pair of Hoka shoes I've gotten and the 2nd pair to have quality issues. I've been wearing these shoes for less than 5 hours and just noticed the rubber is pulling away from the toe. For a $130 these shoes should be a much hire quality.

I really wanted to like them, I was finally at a point with my foot recovery where I could wear something besides Clifton that wasn't just boring black or crazy carnival colors either. I opened it and the bottoms of the shoes had a very basic pattern so there was no grip, if the floor was slightly dusty I'd be sliding all over it. And because it was so basic there wasn't much to the bottoms of the shoes so they wore out very quickly and then my heels started to cave in on the shoes. That is one of my biggest complaints of Hoka in general is that the shoes don't last longer than 6 months and that's really pushing it. Im at 4 months and I've been saying for probably 2-3 weeks that I need new shoes already. I had finally found a shoe that I enjoyed looking at from this company, but I'm not about to spend that much money 3 times a year on shoes for myself. Never going to happen.

These HOKA One One shoes appear to be all the rage. This is the 2nd pair I have tried out. They are great at first. Very soft and cushioned. But they are too cushioned. My feet slosh around in them. I figured these were the best that I am going to get. After 2 wears, the seam around the toe began to separate all around the toe box. For the price, this is unacceptable.

I've had 2 pairs of the Hoka Hupana Jacquards, which were the PERFECT walking shoes. I wore them both out with so much walking, was sad to see you weren't carrying them anymore. I got the same size , 9.5, in the Akasa, which looked like almost the same thing, but my feet swim in them and it's too late to return them.

Went to put them on for the 3rd time and the glue had released and the shoe was separating at the toe box. Giving a 3 though because I do like the brand. I appreciate the return policy not making it difficult and I like that they offer 10.5. So many brands stop offering half sizes after 9.5.
