These are the only shoes I could wear for several months following surgery on my big toe MTP joint. What a lifesaver! They take pressure off the big toe joint, making it much easier to walk. I have them in 2 colors and love them!

Great arch support. Very comfy.

wife wears to work every day. she's on her feet all day. the akasa shoes do not hurt her feet. she has a pair of sketchers and roll sneaker and a pair of brooks, but they can't compair to the hoka one one. she loves the foot support and overall feel. She can walk anywhere with these. we searched a long time before we found these and i am happy we did. its nice to not hear her complain of her feet hurting when she comes home. Thank you hoka one one.

I have plantar fasciitis and a heel spur and had to modify my daily workouts with my other shoes. But wearing my hokas, I am able to resume my workouts and I couldn't be happier!!

I'm a nurse and needed good support on the job. After dealing with plantar fasciitis, these shoes are what I needed! Love them so much, my next pair will be absolutely be Hoak again!

I absolutely loved this shoe. I am an X-ray tech and I'm on my feet all day. I have never put a more amazing shoe on my foot. Soooo comfortable and my feet aren't sore at the end of the day. I've recommended this shoe to every person I work with.

If I could give this shoe 10 stars I would! I have bunions and I have tried almost every shoe on the market that touts itself as "comfortable" for those with foot problems and I am ALWAYS deeply disappointed with the result - UNTIL NOW...I can barely describe how comfortable these are - no pinching, no rubbing, ample room in the toe box without my foot floating around...the list of positives for "fit" go on and on...and that's without saying anything about the cushioning this shoe provides! Like walking on tiny perfect clouds! I have put these through the paces on walks, runs and Gravity class so far and their light construction yet stable platform make them just PERFECT in my book! I can say this without exaggeration - I will NEVER buy a different shoe again! I have told everyone I know about them, taken pictures of my shoes for social media and I've fallen in LOVE!

Wearing these to the gym and for long walks on hard surfaces - my feet are happy! This is the first shoe I've found that keeps sesamoiditis from acting up. No pain and a shoe that's so comfortable, I want to wear it all day every day.

I am on hard concrete floors for 11 hours per day, and have had one bunion surgery. I have had the Bondi 6 model for two years, and it has served me well. But, I wanted a more trim, sleeker model and came upon this one. PERFECT fit from the minute i tried them on. The wide width is heavenly, and the sleek design is much less bulky than the Bondi 6. I prefer my own inserts in the shoes, but have no complaints... MOre colors please :)))

I use these for everyday use. I've had a few injuries to the same foot and these are the only shoes that allow me to be properly supported and comfortable as I continue to heal. I can actually start looking forward to running again!

3 week's ago I had my 2nd back surgery. I am on my feet all day due to my job so needless to say I constantly have back pain. I have a good friend who is a nurse and she recommended the Hoka One One's. I wasn't exactly sure which shoe to buy so I called and spoke to a customer service representative. He was extremely helpful and recommended the Akasa's based on my low back pain and the fact that my feet are extremely narrow and I am flat footed. I have to say that the Akasa's met every expectation. These are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. My low back pain was almost eliminated while wearing these shoes 1 week post surgery. The Akasa's fit true to size and provided support in the areas I needed the most. The customer service representative was extremely kind and definitely knew his stuff! I would absolutely recommend Hoka One One's! I would also like to add that if you are not sure about which style of shoe would be best to fit your needs, call customer service, you will not be disappointed!

I have heel issues and the shoes make a huge difference on how long I can be on my feet.

I think I have found the Perfect Walking Shoe I've been searching for for 20 years. I have Planter Fasciitis and lower back problems and wear orthotics, but sometimes orthotics don't fit well in every shoe. My podiatrist recommended Hoka One. I was a bit overwhelmed searching through every style and model on the Hoka website, but finally decided on the AKASA because I needed a lightweight walking shoe with great arch support and heel cushioning and this one ticked all the boxes. The moment I tried them on, they fit as if they were made for my feet. Best part, I don't need to wear my orthotics with these shoes. I can (and will) walk miles and need look no further for the perfect walking shoe - because I have finally found it.
