Fit is about right. I typically wear a 10 wide American or a 44 in European sizes. These are 10 D and fit comfortably - not too loosely or tightly. My foot fits into the bed as expected and my heel is at the back of the slide (not hanging over and not having an inch of length at the back). Same with the toe area - my toes are right where I expect them to be without hanging over the front or having too much material beyond where my toes end. They take a bit of getting used to because of the tall height of the sole. After a few wearings, I am fine with the height. The cross piece over the top of the foot is hot during hot and or muggy. The inside of the slide sole that comes in contact with the bottom of my foot is grooved, but does not fully mitigate the too warm feeling around my feet when it is hot and or muggy. No experience with grip on slippery surfaces as yet. They do have deeply grooved soles, but don’t know more. Overall, I’d rate these a five (best). Quite comfortable, soft, no break-in, and superb service from Zappos.

Most comfortable slides ever

I had to go down a full size, but Zappos is awesome and sent out the new size while I sent back the larger size. I love these for post workout footwear and just general lounging.

LOVE these slides! Super comfortable, easy on and off. I had knee surgery last year and use these to walk around the house and have no knee pain. Will buy another pair when these wear out.

Size is great. Feels like I'm walking on marshmallows. I wear these all the time and everywhere. The style is much better than the previous version and the colors are great. Would be nice if there was a navy blue color.

Tried a few and these were the only comfortable flip flops for my feet. I have RA and Hoka is always a winner.

Bought these for my guy who wears a 9 but the 8 was a perfect fit. He really likes them and keeps them in the car to put on after full day of work. Says they do not look like shower shoes and wears them out everywhere.

My husband has some foot issues and loves these slides! So comfortable! He has size 11 in Hoka running shoes (with orthotics) but the 10 fit him perfect in these slides!

My husband wears these as his house shoe. He says they are very comfortable and his feet feel great in them after a long day at work.

I ordered these for my husband. One of the sandals was stretched and wouldn't stay on his foot, so we returned it and got another pair. He says they are very comfortable.

The best sandals for cushioning and comfort. I have sensitive feet and the maximum cushioning is best for walking. These Hoka Recovery Slide 2 are the best I ever wore. Not the best looking but definitely out performed all of the competition for functional comfort.

Bought a woman’s size 7 pair for myself to relieve metatarsal pain after a triathlon. They were so comfortable and useful as House slippers/pool shoes that I bought a second pair for the hubby. They are ugly, but if paired with white ankle socks they edge towards being stylish! Hoka running shoes are great for metatarsal pain relief, too. I wear a Bondis for errand walking and Clifton 4 for running.

Great fit

I’ve always hated slides and flip flops for their lack of support (would destroy my plantar fascia). These actually made my feet feel better than ever. Accommodated my EE width perfectly. My running shoe size is a 10 but natural shoe size is 9, ordered the 9’s and they are perfect from heel to toe. Will never wear another type/brand of sandal.
