It was a ginormous size 13. I called to particularly prevent a size issue. I had to wear a size 11 Ofoo or trip on the front. I was told the 13 was what I wanted, so I ordered it. I wear size 13 Bondi 6 and it's fine. This is a much better made slide, but I have no idea what the sizing is that will fit my normal size 13M. The Hoka Ora was also wide, so my foot would slide off end when sweating with nothing to stop it. Needless to say I am disappointed.

Ordered these for my husband who wears an 11. The 11 was huge both in length and width. Also, the arch is sooo high. Not good for him in any case.

Based on other Hoka shoes I own and love, I thought these would be great, too. Not so for me. Some reviewers complained shoe was too narrow; I found just the opposite--way too wide, length good but strap was so loose as to be non-effective. I can't imagine the shape of the foot that would be comfortable in these. They went back the day I received them.

I have given up on Hoka. I made two purchases from them and BOTH purchases had size issues. The first, a pair of running shoes feel rather oversized and loose even though I got the same size I have always worn and the same size I've purchased from many other companies and never had an issue with the size. It seems to be an issue for Hoka. Recently, I purchased two pairs of slides from them and they also have size issues. The right side slides fit fine, but the left side ones are loose and feel stretched out in BOTH pairs. Clearly, there are some manufacturing issues and worse yet, even though I comment or write a review, I get nothing but crickets from Hoka. They very clearly have horrible customer service. For these reasons, I cannot recommend these slides nor Hoka.

I recently went on a hiking/beach trip and yes this was really comfortable. The big downside is ... it shrunk with the heat? didn't even laid it out directly in the sun. Just normal use and drying. Went from a size 7 to a size 6. Very unhappy with this.

I bought a pair of the Recovery Slide 1's last Summer. I had just moved to the desert and needed something comfortable like a running shoe but open and cooler like a sandal. It was an amazing added bonus putting them on after a long run or a hard workout to relax the body. Those slides had a chunky tread on them that allowed you to walk comfortably on any surface and never made you slip on wet surfaces. I wore them almost every day for a whole year before the tread wore down and the cushinning became less comfortable. I have had the new Recovery Slide 2's for 1 month and I have already worn the much more subdued tread right off the bottom of them and I've only been using them to walk my dog a few miles a day in the morning, so why in the world should the tread be completely barren in the middle of the bottoms? I honestly cannot say there is a single thing that was improved upon with the new model. They do not even help relax tight and sore muscles after a long run or a day hike like the originals did. I still have my pair of Slide 1's and they are almost as comfortable as the Slide 2's and they are totally shot and 11 plus months older... I never thought I would be writing a negative review on a Hoka product. Sadly the redesign is a total flop. It is very unfortunate because the originals were as close to perfect as one could ever realistically hope for. 1 star, would not recommend to friends or colleagues If I get a chance to edit this later I will add pictures to prove I am not exaggerating.

Didn't provide the recovery I was looking for. This actually made my feet hurt more. The arch support is too aggressive and made my feet hurt more. After wearing for longer than an hour, my back began to hurt as well. Just not for me.

I only wear Hokas for working out and walking. I have the first version of the recovery sandal and love it. Both my old one and the new one are size 13, but the new one is both longer and wider. Both have a 13 on the shoe.

When these have water or are wet they make a horrible noise and your foot can slip out of them with ease. Not good for near the pool or any water. Very expensive for slides or sandels.

I have owned several of the recovery slides and I am not a fan of the new sizing. They are way too wide and I have a wide foot and are not as comfortable as previous ones.

For someone with very wide feet, these would be great! Usual cushion from Hoka (all of my running shoes are Hokas, which has solved my plantar fasciitis issues)). Much to wide for me (normally a C/D width); more like a EEE.
I'd also recommend:
Hokas, Adidas, Samuel Hubbard

Have a high instep and wide toe box. Suffering from severe plantar fasciitis and hoped these would help me. Size 10 was too small, rubbed on large toe and Size 11 was too wide, rubbed on multiple toes. Felt the arch was too built up to work for me. Black and blue are the most attractive. Did keep pair for my husband, and he finds them comfortable. I purchased Oofos Originals and they have helped me.
I'd also recommend:

I am a huge fan of HOKA. I have the Bondi 6's for running on the road and I wear the Speed Goat 3's for trail running. I just rant my first Spartan Ultra and was looking forward to putting these sandals on afterward. However, they are two different sizes. They both say M9, but structurally and visibly they are not the same size. After running 30 plus miles my left foot would not fit into the sandal. My right foot fit and it felt amazing. Sadly I was not able to wear them. I will not buy another pair of these.

This is the 3rd purchasing on hoka. But like last slide, it's not durable. I just ripped the tack, but the top was cut off. The last time the slippers were cut off without knowing when they were torn. I felt they were compotable but because of poor durability I feel terrible.
