I've gone through 3 pairs of the SG3's. They're the perfect long day trail shoe in my opinion.

After trying on several different trail runners in my local shop, I decided to go with these for a 250 mile John Muir Trail trek. All day comfort and durability was key. These provided unreal comfort even after finishing 15-20 mile days. They still are going strong after close to 400 miles! I will never need to find another trail shoe, and can't wait for the next pair!

After 6 surgeries, 11 pins and screws and more surgeries to come on my right foot, I finally found the perfect match after many failed attempts with other brands. Speed Goat provides perfect cushion and sole stiffness for my foot. Wish I had found these when I was doing triathlons and trail running.

Have 3 pairs of these beauties. I ran a mountain 70k in a new pair after only one warm up 10k in them and NO blisters after the 70K. Two months later I ran a 50 mile trail ultra in the same pair and again NO blisters. In my opinion you cannot go wrong with these. Speedgoat 4's are too firm.

On my second pair of 3s, and in the process of a return of the 4s to get...well...another pair of the 3s. Snug fit for my narrow foot, grips hug the trail tightly, and the comfort is on lock! whether on the trail or running an ultra, these guys get it done for my feet! As always, I love the color schemes, something that has a little flare and grabs the eyes of onlookers haha.

Great fit and super comfortable on the trails. Great for recovery runs or if you need extra cushion without feeling slow or heavy.

These fit as expected, I have narrow feet and they comfortable and my feet do not slide around. I have sensitive feet and do not like to feel the rocks under my feet when I am trail running. The cushioning is comfortable but supportive. I used to be a 10.5 but my feet have flattened as I have aged so I am now an 11. I bought an 11.5 to have extra space and these are perfect, my toes do not hit the front of the shoe. Best trail running shoes I have had, would buy again.

I've given a trial run of about 300 miles in the Hoka One One Speedgoat 3 in urban environment and off trail here in Las Vegas and they have been excellent! Definitely a big fan of this shoe. The narrow fit is perfect for me as I have a narrow foot. If your foot is wide in any way, this shoe is not for you. There are other off trail shoes that are sold by Hoka One One that will fill your wide foot needs. This is my 2nd pair of the Hoka One One brand... I'm sold on it! :-)

I really have bad feet after breaking my my leg and foot and being in a plastic boot for a year. I like competative shooting and normally after six stages my feet are killing me. I just did a 12 stage match and my feet definitely felt a lot. I'll definitely buy another pair in the no so distant future.

I'm hesitant to call it perfect but I really cant think of anything I dont like. I suppose the color options aren't great (in my opinion) and the overlay on the big toe might get bothersome in very late stages..but yeah. It's pretty much perfect. I don't find the toebox to be narrow at all and really hope the SG4 hasn't changed too much. This version is amazing. I actually wish the Clifton 6 had the same arch. I really like that shoe too..they feel kind of similar.

Finally a Hoka shoe that gives my arch, midfoot and heel a proper hug. I've been trying a number of Hoka models and they've all felt like a was wearing a brick. Too oversize for a shoe that's big in design to begin with. The Speedboat feels like a true running shoe. Just perfect. I'm grateful that at least one of the Hoka models is a great fit for a foot that is narrow enough. For the complainers that the Speedboat is too narrow, you've got plenty of other models to choose from. Thanks, Hoka One One!

I used the Speedgoat on a Long Trail fastpack thru hike, and on a technical 50 mile race in the New Hampshire White Mountains. On both accounts, I feel the shoe performed wonderfully! The grip was outstanding, even after hundreds of miles in the shoe. There was normal wear and tear, but the shoes held up. I felt the fit was perfect for my foot (I'm slightly on the wide side, but not a wide foot). It seemed to hug my foot where it was supposed to, and have room in the toes. Didnt have any issues with slipping around, felt locked down. They are a bit heavier than other trail shoes I run in, but if I need max cushion and good grip, it's a great shoe.

Been running in Speedgoats for a few years and am generally happy with the latest generation in terms of grip, midsole support and upper construction. My only issue with earlier models has been durability, and as usual time will tell with this one.

The Speedgoat 3 is a fantastic shoe. As I said, my third pair. Holds up to a lot of off road travel, and the lugs provide good traction. I add my own arch support insole. As long as laces are tightened sufficiently, good pronation control, but if a little loose it's easy to slide sideways in the shoe when sidehilling.
