Nice looking shoe but it was very small when wearing a standard sock. I have some Arahi 2 of the same size and they fit fine. Since I couldnt wear them I am just indicating average.

I've worn the same size six (6) in all other brands for over twenty (20) years, but these felt to narrow.

They were awesome at first but they wear out really fast. Especially when you pay a lot of money for them!

Stability shoe is very good, comfortable. The inside support wears out to quickly. Only last 3 months. For the price they should last longer.

I love the product and have had multiple sneakers but the cloth pull away and tearing away a circle in the heel area is getting worse in worse. It took 6 mos and then they were ruined, then another was 3 mos, and this time was LESS THAN 1 month!

I am a big Gaviota 1 fan and I feel like they made the Gaviota 2s "cheap". I have a fallen arch so I need the stable feel that is comfortable because I am on my feet all day. The 2's are more mesh like and feels like my foot slides around a lot more. They have less plastic than the 1's. Don't get me wrong I am ok with the 2's but I will miss my 1's.....

I've been running for two decades. I started with Saucony Hurricanes. Then Saicony changed the fit and dropped the heel so I switched to Gaviota 1's about the time they first came out. I buy a new pair every six months and was always happy with the way they performed, especially in the cushioning, the perfect heel drop and the wide toe box. I just got my first pair of Gaviota 2's and immediately noticed a difference in the fit. There seems to be less cushioning, the shoe is significantly narrower and, although the spec didn't change, the heel seems to stile lower. After running several miles I had to stop because I started to get pain in various places that I had experience previously when the shows I was running in were wearing out. I'm sorry to say that I will now have to start a new search for a running shoe. I am keeping the Gaviota 2's since they are fine for walking, which I do a lot of. I must say that as far as their design, the new model is a big improvement over the originals that looked like they came out of a bad Spider-Man movie.

I work 12 hour shifts, so I'm on my feet a lot. Was really looking for something comparable to Brooks Beast. These are really comfortable while walking, but not so much for just standing.

This shoe is narrow. Initially they felt very comfortable but after three training sessions of onroad running it is clear that they are too narrow (I do not have wide feet). After a 2-3 miles my right little toe numbs together with the right side of my foot/ball of the foot. I wish I was advised better in the store where I bought them, apparently I needed the "wide" model.

I bought the Arahi3 2 weeks before I got the Gaviota2. Things that I like with the Arahi3 is that it's light, fits perfect, and It makes me enjoy running. Gaviota has more support but feels tight and heavy. Loved the Arahi3 that I exchanged the Gaviota2 with a second Arahi3. Maybe my next purchase will probably be the Speed-goat. Thanks for making shoes that makes me enjoy running.

After running in the Gaviota, version 2 seems narrower and less cushioned. I am satisfied with the limitations in great toe movement, which is the reason that I run in this model.

Apparently they needed to increase their profit margins on this particular shoe and make it from much cheaper material than the first. For instance, I bought Gaviota 1s prior to running a marathon and they were amazing and amazing quality. I buy Gaviota 2 here recently and it's just the cheap nylon material and not even close to the original. Don't let Deckers cheap manufacturing ruin this line of shoes!!

I really wanted to love this shoe as it seemed perfect for my feet when I first tried them on. I ran almost consistently in Nikes before these but because of my flat, over-pronating feet, I was experiencing injury after injury. I needed to find a cushioned stability shoe to get me back on track. The toe box on these was so narrow that my foot would go numb even after loosening the laces. I ordered a wide (EE) size hoping that it would fix the problem, but the wide created too much space causing my foot to bounce around when I ran creating some nasty blisters. Hoping the next model will be a better fit for me!

After a knee injury the Gaviota has allowed me to continue running. I tried the 2 on immediately following a run. After stepping out of the original and into the 2 I could feel a difference. The 2 seems stiffer and not as soft. It also felt narrow, but I had also ordered a wide width and that felt fine. After running in the 2 its OK. Its not the same as the original and I can feel it. My right achilles tendon has said hello after being silent in the original. My cranky knee is cranky after a run while a similar run in the original would have been fine. I don't know if its the stability/support piece or the cushioning piece -but these shoes have disappointed me.

I was looking for a running shoe with overpronation support and fair amount of cushioning. This GAVIOTA 2 had perfect amount of cushioning and I definitely noticed a difference in impact on joints while running in these v/s other shoes i.e these are far better in minimizing impact. These are incredibly lightweight and Overpronation support is optimum. I love the flatness of the sole as I feel it provides more surface area for impact with the road. Can't really comment on durability as I've had these for about a month now and they seem to be holding well. CON - short shoelaces - this is very surprising, I have never had running shoes with such short laces. This might sound petty complain bit I think having optimum length shoelaces for a running shoe is one of the basic requirements. I use heel-lock-lacing but it's difficult to tie regular knot so forget about heel-lock-lacing in these standard laces. (-1 start) Slightly narrow - This could just be me but for some reason I feel these are slightly narrow and overpronation support sometimes dig into inner side of the foot while walking but haven't noticed any discomfort while running. (-.5 star)

I really wanted to like this sneaker but it wasn't as comfortable as I would have liked. In addition the toe box was a little tight for me.

I have been wearing the same pair of Challenger ATR 3 for almost 2 years. My feet began to hurt and I realized it was time to spring for a new pair. I was in love with those. I'm flat footed and I'm a nurse on my feet all day. So I decided on these because of the increase in "stability." However, there is no difference. In fact these shoes are flat and super hard!! I prefer my old worn out challengers to these. These also fit much larger than my others. I will return these and hopefully get another pair of challengers. Alergria doesn't go small enough to fit me! Which is why I like Hoka so much. Hopefully I can find a pair to replace my old ones without changing brands.

I'm mixed on my review. I initially loved it, than I really didn't....now I just finished one of my best training runs in two years with little to no foot pain. I feel they are growing on me and hope to have a better review in the coming weeks..
