While I found the shoe fit well and was extremely comfortable, I did not like the way the shoe performed when running. This is the first stability shoe I had used and this is entirely a personal feel rather than a problem with the shoe or function thereof. I replaced this with a Clifton 7 that I have found to suit me better.

I am a nurse and constantly on my feet, I wear a wide size naturally. I've found my back hurts after wearing these all day.

I did 3 1/2 miles the first day and they felt like I was running in Frankenstein shoes. Big and clumsy. I do have plantar fasciitis and these did not help.

Shoes are comfortable but not for my particular job. I'm on my feet 12 hours or more and they hurt bad when i wear these. I did however get fitted for the right shoe.

Love Hokas but I can't seem to stop snapping them when tying them.

I ran in the bondi 7 for two years but keep ripping the inside part o shoe So I decided to try gaviato But my feet feet are hurting in them. I just ran 8 miles and my feet hurt the whole time. I have tried to make myself like them but I just don't. Do you recommend a different shoe b

The shoe is supportive but very stiff. My Brookes are still my fave.

Tried both wide and regular width and although super comfy, the top of the shoe where the laces are threaded dig into the top of my foot. I tried regular in thin socks and it didn't make a difference just hit wrong almost too tight on the top of my foot no matter how loose the laces were just not meant to be!

They are a little tight as far as width but I like for my feet to be controlled.

I have the Bondi and Challenger ATR 5 in women's 8.5 wide that fit very well. According to Hoka, a men's 7.5 medium would be equivalent so I ordered the Gaviota 2 and the Stinson ATR 6 in the men's because I liked the colors better. The Stinson is fine, but the Gaviota is very tight in width and foot volume. I will need to return. I don't know whether to try to order a men's wide or not.

This is my 2nd pair of the Gaviota 2. My 1st pair was finally wearing out after almost 1100 miles. This new pair has already had two of the eyelets break on the inside of the right shoe. Quality does not seem to be as good on this pair. I've only had this pair for a little over 2 weeks and it's a little disappointing. Hopefully, the quality control will check this out.

Shoe is used for running local roads, 16 to 19 miles a week. Majority of runs completed on pavement. Prior shoes have been the Arahi 2 and 3. My size was not available when I needed a new pair so after talking with the rep on the phone, I went with Gaviota 2. While running in the Gaviota 2 it feels as if there was something sharp poking me in my arch each time my foot made contact with the ground. I went to our local track to complete a run and still had same feeling, tried changing stride and/or gait but to no avail.
I used a box knife and removed the material in the arch where I was feeling the pain, after a couple of short test runs the shoe now feels comfortable. Completed a 7, 3 , and 10 mile just in the last week with no pain in my arch.

I wore the original Gaviota and loved them. The Gaviota 2 are so narrow and tight. I have flat arches, overpronate, and have plantar fasciitis in one foot. They are nice shoes just not for me. I am returning them an Iwill try Bondi or Arahi.

I have four pairs of Gaviotas and love the fit and performance. This is the only shoe I can wear. But Hoka, PLEASE WORK ON THE AESTHETICS of this shoe!!! It's ugly! It's so frustrating to keep repurchasing this shoe, despite hating the colors and looks. I like the aesthetics of your other shoes, especially your models for men, so much more. My problem is NOT with the overall shape -- I like that -- it's mainly with the colors and textures of the finishing. And how come you only offer ONE cushioned stability shoe, and so many options for neutral shoes. PLEASE give female pronators more choices of colors and models. Although I'd like to give it 5 stars, I'm only giving it 3 because I only buy the shoe for functional purposes, despite the looks.

I found the shoes to be too narrow. I don't have wide feet. Never wore a wide shoe size in my life. I could only do about 6 miles before I felt that these shoes aren't so great. Given that info and the fact that I feel these shoes are ugly I would not recommend them to anyone. Also I have tried to unsubscribe from any more email from Hoka to no avail. Please stop sending me messages.
