If you have a wide toebox and midfoot, this shoe is for you. I have tried so many Hokas and so many too narrow. I am a female who has to wear mens. I wear a 101/2 or 11 in womens and ordered a 9 1/2 2E and they are perfect!!! I really like the amount of cushion also, even though not cushy to the touch.

I am still hoping you will find a way to make women's size 13. Yes there is a great need for them.

Usually, I wear Brooks Beast but have an older pair of Hoka's and I liked them. I have a real problem with overpronation and need sneakers that help correct the problem and provide stability. This pair is excellent and is possibly the best I have worn to help my aching feet. I wear a 9.5 EE in a Brooks Beast but my previous Hoka's were a 10 because a 9.5 was just too small so I opted up a half size. This pair isn't quite a perfect fit but a 9.5 would have been tight. As long as I wear socks, the Gaviota 2 works, Width is good and walking around on these is a feel-good experience. Or perhaps I should write a feet-good experience. The sole of this sneaker flairs out just enough to provide the stability I need. Plus the Gaviota 2 is practically weightless. I am truly pleased with this purchase.

Been an ASICs fan for quite awhile, but after reading the reviews on the Hoka's decided to give them a try. You can definately feel the support in them. In fact, when I first put them on it felt like I was walking on pillows...felt a little wobbly. After wearing them awhile however, they seemed to have conformed to my feet and the support has firmed up. All in all, definately like them, and will be buying them again. I wear a 9.5 or 10 in a dress shoe, but wear an 11 in athletic shoes.

The fit was great. The only downside is a big one. The fabric on the inside heel wore down to nothing after 3 months. I didn’t feel like it was rubbing that badly but once the holes were there it was not comfy.

I usually buy New Balance because of my wide feet, but I thought I would try the Hoka because of the positive reviews. Unfortunately, even the extra wide was too narrow for me.

These were a replacement pair of the same brand and style. The original pair I loved. The replacement pair felt like an entirely different shoe. Very uncomfortable from the get go. Felt like I was standing on cement instead of my plush pile carpet. Back they go. Very disappointed with my purchase.

First the good part. I'm a big guy with flat feet (13 EE) and this was a shoe that has very thick, cushiony sole. It was almost a little too thick at first and felt a little like moon shoes. Once you get used to it you appreciate a little extra pep you get from the bounce. The arch support is a bit weak but with a different insert it was fine. Now the bad. This thing wears fast. With only a few dozen miles the tread in the middle is nearly gone. You can see in the pictures what the original looked like. While the tread on the sides appear more robust, I was concerned the wear would lead to stress injuries or loss of traction at some inopportune moment.

Overall a very good fit. I prefer Zappos over buying from Hoka because Zappos is easier to work with if you have to return.

Have been hearing good things about Hoka for years and I Don’t know why I waited so long to buy these. If you have very Flat, very Wide Feet(2E) and deal with some level of pain while running in “standard” shoes these are the shoes for you. Cushion is phenomenal. It doesn’t try to “force” an arch which most shoes for flat feet have a tendency to do. I’ve PR’d every run since I started wearing these. Less pain in joints. I may buy another. Worth every penny.

I was looking for a replacement for my Brooks Beasts and all my research left me to this shoe. I can't yet speak for how long these shoes will last, but they are GREAT so far! I needed stability and comfort with a wide toe box, and these have it all.

Very good stability shoe, lightest I’ve ever worn. Get 1/2 size smaller than normal everyday shoes, and get a wide width unless you have very narrow feet.

I returned these due to size and width. I liked the design and would have purchased a size up and wider shoe if Zappos had them in stock.

I know a few people felt these shoes were quite different than the previous Gaviota but for me they felt the exact same. The second I tried them on they felt extremely familiar to the pair I'd been exercising in the past year. Good support, great cushioning and relatively lightweight. We do long walks/hikes daily. I've only been in them for about 10 miles but for me, they are nearly identical.

I always struggle between size 12 and 12.5. With the Gaviota 2 I decided the 12.5. The J frame do the job and felt very aggressive. I have run only 25 miles on it, so they’re on the breaking. I experience a hot spot outside of my right foot close to the pinky toe. I’m 6’0 - 200 pound

Like these shoes! Thought that being stability shoes they would have arch support, but that is not true. However, with my custom orthotics they work out fine. Their stability comes from wide supports in the rear foot disallowing you to roll your foot in or out.

I got gaviota 2 for my husband because the gaviota were out of stock. Before these he was wearing the gaviota and he loved them from the first time he wore them. The gaviota 2 make his feet hurt.

As an overpronater, I used to wear Brooks Adrenaline GTS shoes for running. They're quality shoes and I thought they got the job done. Until I purchased Hoka One One Gaviota 2s. These are on a totally different level! Lots of cushion that reduces impact. Heck of a shoe!

This is the only shoe I will wear for work. I am in a warehouse and on a sales floor. I'm on my feet all day with lots of heavy lifting. Before finding the Gaviota 2 I was in terrible pain daily. I have fallen for the Hoka brand and I will stay a customer for life. I LOVE THE COLORS! I wanted the Grape/Orange but at the time I was ordering it wasn't available in my size. I got Black/Gray and it's nice but I hope to get the Grape/Orange next. My only gripe is the toe reinforcement. My big toes wear through the fabric underneath the outer shell quickly. You can see my socks through the netting. When I can see the color of my socks that's how I know I need a new pair.

I wear these on my 12-13 hour nursing floor shifts. They provide excellent support. I only have one complaint. The outer edge on the right foot has a seam in a horrible place that causes constant soreness on my foot. Please pad that area!

I'm not exaggerating either!!! I work in a warehouse & am on my feet 8-10 hours a day on concrete. I have bone spurs and Plantar Fasciitis... I've spent hundreds of dollars trying to find the right shoe & insoles on my own. The Hoka brand was recommended by my Podiatrist (finally broke down & went), I picked the all black Gaviota 2 because of the look & reviews & WOW!!! No joke, to me it feels like I'm walking on an anti fatigue mat all day. They are the most I've ever spent on shoes, but I'll happily pay the price!!! I cannot begin to describe how it feels to not want to cry at the end of my shift from foot pain. THANK YOU!!!!!

These shoes have been comfortable since the first day, when I put them on and walked the 75-pound pulling machine who is my dog for a full hour on city streets. Bricks made uneven by the elements, storm-tossed branches, cement, and the direction changes of an exuberant canine ... nothing fazed these wonderfully stable shoes. I have a couple-of-years old pair of Arahis, also in wide, and was told these are a little bit wider. They are! While I have loved my first pair of HOKAs, they were never quite wide enough (my foot kind of hung over the sole) or as stable as I needed them to be. Gaviotas are it, for me! I love them so much that though I keep meaning to exchange them after walking for HOKA Recovery Slides, I forget most of the time! If they hold up as well as the much-loved Arahis I will be impressed.

I bought this product two days ago. Used it to run the first two days for 3miles. Its amazing how im not too sore after my runs. Im 5'10" 220lbs, my shoes before this are Nikes zoom fly maybe im too heavy for them. Im going to retire my nikes. This are the perfect shoes for me! I regret not buying this before spending money on Nikes.

These are spot on for my husband - he swears by them all the way around! Incredible arch support (feels like walking on a cloud) and his feet don't hurt at the end of the day in the slightest. According to him, walking does take a little bit of getting used to only from the perspective that Hoka One One's have a more rolling type of support that's very different from other brands. He's very happy :-)
