I bought these shoes almost a year and a half ago to wear at my job (I'm a nurse). Super comfy and supportive!

I bought these last year (Sept 2019) and after wearing them every other day for city commutes/bike rides the soles have a couple of small holes and the waterproofing has failed. Not bad for a year of wear, but I expected them to last longer given the price. Prior to this, the shoes were super comfy and amazing to wear. I plan to keep wearing these but on sunny days only. For sizing, I'm in between a 5.5/6 in most shoes, and I went with a 5.5 in these.

Bought these and the kinetic sneakers and I’m currently debating which one to keep. Just off the initial try around my house I’d say these are very comfortable for a casual walking-about sneaker; not as cushioned as the kinetic for long walks, but still felt very comfortable. I ordered the alpine tundra in my true size, 10, and 1) the color is more overall olive than what I thought from the pics and 2) I could use a 10.5 I think if I decide to keep. It is like some have said, very shallow in the toe bed so if you have wider feet as I do they may be more snug and you may need to size up a half size. Otherwise I was happily surprised they DIDNT look orthotic to me as some reviewers mentioned lol I do agree that sometimes in larger sizes the style tends to “get lost” in the sizing, but these surprised me in that aspect. Also love the little heel tab that comes up in a contrasting tan color- that adds some more visual appeal that the Kinetic doesn’t have. These definitely look like a cool pair of skater shoes but with more support/comfort than a true skater shoe. Can’t speak to the waterproof aspect but I can feel that even though they are mesh upper they are lined inside with a solid lining that I assume is slightly water proof (not water resistant) but my guess is if your sloshing around in the PNW all the time it’s not going to be 100%.

I am typically an 8 or 8.5 and with these the 8 is perfect. The arch support is minimal but I'm able to add my inserts to make them better suited for long walks. The design is fairly stylish for this type of shoe and that they are waterproof will come in handy. I don't like the black/white laces on the black shoes so I swapped them out for some dark grey ones I had on hand.

Not a ton of arch support at all, but footbed is soft and comfortable Enough to walk on. These shoes are a bit heavier than I expected. I ordered my regular size 8, and they were perfect and I have thin feet. I have not tested them out in water to see if they are actually waterproof, but overall I’m happy and will not be returning them.

Lots of comments about size. I wear a size 10 in New Balance, Nike, and Under Armour. Based on comments, I tried a 10 and a 9.5. The ten fits perfectly. It doesn’t rub under my ankle as some have experienced. The toe box is roomy and doesn’t rub anywhere. However, the style does nothing to minimize the size of my size 10 feet! I bought the sage color. It’s kind of blah. But comfy! And love the fact that they’re waterproof!

I wear a consistent size 10M. Having read all the reviews about these running large, ordered 9.5 and 10, and both were too small! Sturdy, good looking shoe, but didn't love it enough to try again in 10.5. Did seem well made so not sure about the negative comments elsewhere about quality.

The 8.5 fit smaller than the size 8. The left shoe has something sticking into the side of my foot. This must have happened when making the shoe. Too bad because I love the color and style of shoe

I'm a size 9 with fairly narrow feet. These sneakers fit really well and are very comfortable. Lots of cushion. The reason I give them only 3 stars is because they are by no means waterproof. I live in rainy Seattle and bought them to run errands, which means lots of wet parking lots and brief exposure to rain when I run into stores, school, etc. After one day of wearing them on a day of light rain my feet were damp, bordering on flat out wet. Super disappointing seeing as they are comfortable and stylish. I wish I hadn't thrown away the box or I'd return them.

Bought these a couple months ago for golf tournament and sailing. They are not waterproof. Totally wet from walking in the wet grass at the tournament.
Sooooo disappointed.

Bought these a few months ago for walking to work. They are water-resistant (fine for walking through wet grass), but definitely not waterproof--my toes get soaked on rainy days (not even walking through puddles, just on the sidewalk!). Also, even though I have only worn them for a few months, the soles have worn down quite a bit. The Sorel logo even fell off! I sized down a half size as recommended, and they fit just right. Overall, I think these sneakers are fine for casual wear, but don't seem to hold up to daily wear or rainy weather.

I loved these but they have a wide toe bed area and felt my feet we’re moving around too much.

The size was accurate and fit fine, however, I bought these for a trip we're taking to Venice and wanted a comfortable waterproof show to walk all over with. The shoe is heavy and didn't have near enough arch support for my very high arches. I had to return

I really wanted to love these and tried hard to convince myself to keep them. I usually wear an 8 and ordered an 8.5 per the reviews. I could live with them being too big but the seam by the tongue was just so annoying and painful. Total bummer.

They fit a little big but decided I would want to wear them with a thicker sock in the colder months (December and March not the middle of winter-these would not be warm enough for that time of the year). They do crinkle which other reviewers have noticed, it is annoying but not a deal breaker. These could be more stylish and are a little large but they did what they said they would do are are waterproof. They do collect dirt and other things on the front of the sneakers so they need to be brushed off after each use.
After about 5 month, these sneakers are no longer waterproof, I just arrived to work with wet socks. Maybe defective? I did feel inside and it seems the waterproof (crinkle layer) is peeling off from the inside. Unhappy customer here. Do not buy these sneakers if you expect them to last. 5 months is terrible for the longevity of a waterproof sneaker.

It's mostly my own fault for my disappointment in this shoe. I don't like the popular look of the long toe in sneakers right now, but thought I'd try it out anyhow because I really loved the color. In addition to my style dislike, I noticed it felt like my feet were dipping inward = not much arch support.

I like these because of the wide toe box and secure heel. They look borderline dorky/cool, depending on my mood. My problem with them is that after taking a walk in them I realized they just don't have enough support. Oh well, I can still wear them for short distances.

I was looking for a shoe that I could easily slip on and off, that was waterproof, and would be comfortable for a lot walking for a trip to Europe I was going on. I was able to slip the shoes on and off easily with a some creative shoelace tying, and the waterproofness was not a problem. I had an issue with the comfort. We averaged 6-7 miles a day of walking, and my feet were hurting within 1-2 hours of wearing them, whether we were walking or standing a lot. Several days my feet hurt so much I contemplated buying different shoes. So they were an overall disappointment.

I wanted to love these shoes, they're perfect for spring/fall adventures given the waterproof nature and the style that works with jeans/shorts/casual dresses but ultimately I found the insole to be way to stiff and rigid. After walking around my house and standing at my desk my feet started to ache which I've never experienced with any other Sorel shoes and I have 5 pairs (Sandels/wedges/sneakers/boots/slippers)

I had to send back because I ordered a full size down and they were small. I could have worn a half size rather than a full size but they are out of stock. Really cute shoe. They do make a crackle sound when you walk. It is like there is plastic in the material as a barrier.
