I wore these with no-show ankle socks and developed an itchy painful rash from the tag. The material is not friendly to sensitive skin nor is it made from breathable material. I actually bought 4 pairs of these so I am sad and still in pain. These pictures are from today, over 1 week since I wore them. The redness has improved some. It would be helpful to know what material is used in this shoe tag.

Was really looking forward to receiving these sneakers, I agonized online over what color to get and ended up with Elk - great choice, lovely color. They were true to size, very comfortable, and great quality, however I wear a size 11 and in the larger sizes the design of the shoe changes enough that it's not as cute and makes your foot look very flat-footed. This is due to the tread that covers the bottom of the shoe coming up the side of the shoe farther on the smaller shoes (but not the larger shoes), making the heel look more elevated and smaller. Granted, it's a slight difference, but to large footed people a slight elevation in the heel makes a big difference and would be appreciated. I added a photo to show the difference - the shoes on the site have the tread practically touching the dip in the leather, but on my shoes there's a 1/2 inch difference. When you compare the photos you really see the difference how angular the tread is in smaller shoes vs. the flat line of the larger ones. I really appreciate that you sell larger sized shoes and I love your style, Sorel! But the styles aren't translating to the larger sizes and I'm considering returning them.

These shoes are the bomb. They have become my go-to sneakers. I bought my first pair (in black) last fall for a trip to Scotland. They kept my feet very dry while we were out waling in the rain, and are comfortable enough for all day wear. (Although not much arch support if that is important to you.) A year later, the treads on the bottom have worn a bit but they are still in good shape and I've gotten a ton of use out of them as I live in the Pacific Northwest. I ordered a second pair (in sage) when I got my dog, since I often walk my dog through wet grass, so I am wearing them daily. The sage is a bit darker and more green than in the picture. I am very happy with these as well! One tip is don't wear them to the beach -- I got sand in the mesh on top, and it is quite hard to get out :) Also my feet do get a bit sweaty in them when it is warm or after a long walk, but it is worth it to keep my feet protected from the elements. Sizing: I normally wear between an 8 and 9 in sneakers, depending on the brand. I tried both 8 and 8.5 and settled on the 8. (It's a bit snug with a heavier sock, but I don't usually need or want that because it gets too sweaty.) They've loosened up a little with wear, but not much.

I've had these for a few months now (I never write reviews immediately so I can provide the most accurate feedback) and I'm still very happy with them. I ordered the suede option in quarry, which is a lovely cool toned dark grey. I actually chose these after a very thorough search for suede or leather sneakers... If I wear a pair of sneakers often I've found textile or fabric uppers just don't last like suede or leather, and they don't have that odor when I take them off at the end of the day like I've noticed man made fabrics have. I already want these in the black and elk suede colors as well! I'd personally recommend opting for the suede since they're the same price and will last you much longer... plus I like the silhouette of the suede version better (slightly less bulky in the toe area.) If you're between sizes like me I'd recommend sizing down... I'm between 8.5 & 9 US and the 9 is a bit too big for me.

I walk everyday, rain or shine. These sneakers are waterproof and very comfy. I LOVE them. They run true to size. They are perfect.
