Grabbed this jacket for climbing and to have as a lightweight shell for running/ski touring. Wanted something that I could throw in the pack that wouldn't take up too much space or add too much extra weight and this guy fits the bill. Is also a lot more durable than expected too, especially for how thin/light it is!

Have used 5 times on 30km bike commute in Vancouver. Super wind resistance and wicks sweat. Haven't hit rain yet. Chest pocket well thought out for phone and keys. Good job. Super light. Don't let sticker shock deter you.

Bought this windbreaker recently and have already used it more than expected. It breaths super well and the fabric feels way more comfortable next to the skin than other windproofs I've worn from other brands. It's shielded me from some blustery and drizzly weather whilst out on my mountain bike, and whilst it's not marketed as a bike specific layer, it has a long enough tail to stop any uncomfortable gaps on my backend and the hood fits comfortably over a helmet. It also looks great! So I've worn it for some breezy afternoons in the beer garden too. One thing to be aware of is the photos online don't quite match the colors. I ordered the red looking jacket and it's actually more of a burnt orange. No problem for me, but just an FYI.

It fits nearly perfect which prompted concern that when layering it wouldn't work, I was wrong. When I'm wearing layers underneath the jacket it feels like I'm wearing one jacket. Plus when it is a great jacket for warmer weather as well given it's very light weight design. Great product!!

I was hesitant to purchase due to the price, but was glad I did. The jacket is amazing-it is lightweight, warm, and easy to pack up. The colour is great (Reflection).

I've had this windbreaker for a couple years and it has proven itself to be a versatile and resilient piece. It is the sort of jacket I keep in my bag or car spring/summer/fall just in case I misjudged the weather. It really cuts the wind, and it isn't crinkly, nor will you overheat in warm months. Climbing, trail running, biking, spring skiing, dog walking. It gets a bit clammy during high output activities. It is water repellent enough to stay dry in light drizzle or misty conditions. I like the shoulder mobility. My zipper doesn't stay up unless it is all the way up, maybe updates have addressed this?

Purchased this jacket a few months ago (it's May now) and am very happy with this jacket. Lightweight, very wind proof and great attention to the little details - no slip zipper, pull tab, shock cords on the hood and waste. Well done Arc'Teryx

Great for taller humans. Long arms and nicely-fitting torso. Keeps the wind out and doesn't get steamy.

I love this lightweight, true to size, windbreaker. The rain beads right off and it stuffs into its front pocket for easy carrying. It's a winner!

I ordered this jacket in Black size M for use in my layering system. Ideally to be a layer for when i know there wont be rain, but there will still be lots of harsh winds. I use this over the top of the Atom LT hoodie. The two hoods clash a bit, and its maybe too tight to have a medium Atom LT under a medium Squamish. If i could go back and order again without faffing with returns i probably would have ordered a L just for extra room for layering. However, this works great on warmer days just worn over a T shirt! It packs into its chest pocket into next to nothing so its great for packing into your bag, or even a fanny pack. Its very minimal, only the one pocket. But, seeing as its designed to be ultralight, all the bells and whistles have been trimmed down to ensure maximum utility for minimal weight. I would completely recommend this jacket, for standalone use, or over a warm layer like a fleece or a down or synthetic jacket! Ideally, pick a midlayer with no hood to avoid the bunching and interference.

I know that Arc'teryx items is meant for high output activities, backcountry or remote places. I know that! However, this is my daily jacket for walk around town and parks with my wife. I bike in it also. Can't be happier. Fit is loose and that is what I wanted. Majority of Arc'teryx jackets are trim fit and I see here few people expected that. They were disappointed but I can't be happier. It is easier to find trim fit than regular fit here.

I was looking for an ultra lightweight windbreaker and tried some other popular contenders but the fit was boxy and just didn't appeal to me. Given I have loved every other Arc'teryx product I have I figured I couldn't go wrong with this choice, and I was right. I'm a slim-ish 6'2" and take a large in every other Arc'teryx jacket and this was no different. Fit is spot on and, as usual, arms are a perfect length for me which is often an issue with most brands except for this one. Fit leaves some room for airflow (but not baggy) if using for more active days with a t-shirt or thin base layer underneath but still allows for a thicker base layer or fleece if just heading out for a casual walk in cooler temps. Hood works extremely well and the adjustments allow for a really dialed in fit. Packs down really small so there is really no reason for this jacket to not go with you on any adventure where you will need some wind and/or light rain protection. I ordered the Ladon colour thinking it was blue based on the pictures on the website but be warned, it is very much green in person.

I've had my Squamish jacket for about 2 months now and I'm very happy with it. The perfect layer for west coast activities. Breathes well and keeps the wind at bay. Fits a little longer than my Atom LT which is great for mountain biking or commuting.

I bought this jacket to cover fall and spring conditions where a full shell is a little too warm and have not been disappointed. Fit is a little slim, and the jacket offers a great range of motion. It's also an excellent outer layer to pair with a fleece. I have been caught in the rain with this jacket and while it provides some protection from a light rain, anything significant or of a sustained duration will soak through.

I own 2 of these and wear them ALL the time... It's likely my most versatile and underrated pieces as you can layer with it in cooler temps or it's light enough to wear solo during windy / (light) rainy days in the spring, summer, or fall. I will state that this jacket IS NOT built as a rain jacket, but will help to keep you dry in a very light rain for a short period of time as most jackets will eventually wet out regardless. I purchased my first one in 2014 which is a previous model. I love the jacket and noticed some changes to the current model and decided to add a second. So, a few months ago I purchased the updated model in the color Hyperspace....and when I received it, I absolutely hated it. The color seemed totally off from what I seen online and I couldn't help but notice how transparent the hoody appeared. I tried to overlook the color and appearance and move onto the updated features... I immediately noticed the hood interior was larger, jacket length was longer, and the pulls were different as well as the cuffs. I honestly disliked every one of these changes in comparison.. Even with all of this in mind, I wanted to try a different color to see if that could ease my concerns since I couldn't see past it. I sent back the Hyperspace and purchased the color Labyrinth. Once again, the color was way different in person... Online, the color appeared more of a blueish-green. In person, the color was closer to a forrest green. However, I love the color even more so than what I thought it was, so I'm more than happy there. Not to mention, the transparency factor was no longer there... I suppose it was just the Hyperspace color (as I haven't personally seen the rest). I liked the hoody MUCH more from an initial standpoint and soon the changes made vs my previous model were no longer so relevant. In fact, I like the changes... the slightly longer length is helpful if layering, the updated design doesn't "bunch" in the center on the zipper as bad as the previous model, and the new cuffs don't get in the way or bother me that they're not longer adjustable. The hood hasn't bothered me (yet) in a real life scenario, but I also don't use it often. I still don't like the zipper pulls.. at all. And even though the zipper doesn't slip nearly as much as the previous model, the new zipper stops constantly tend to catch when you're actually trying to zip or unzip the hoody and is very annoying. Otherwise, I'm completely satisfied with the updated model and very happy with the Labyrinth color.

This is a very basic jacket that is both super light and great for wind. Very breathable. Not recommended for heavy water repellency.

This is my goto for most weather conditions during the spring and fall. I wear this hiking and when walking the dog. When you layer, this jacket is lightweight and comfy yet fairly water proof in most wet conditions except for monsoons. I love how versatile it is and it looks slim and sharp.

I bought the Squamish jacket for it's versatility. It worked well for light jogging in the cold mornings, walking the dog in the hot afternoon (great sun protection), and rock climbing shenanigans. I have tested this in 40-80F degrees weather in Southern California area. If you're running hard, you'll probably have to draw the zipper down half way or all the way. The jacket feels almost weightless, fabric is slightly stretchy, and the fit is excellent. I got a small (5 ft 7in average slim body). Yes, there are cheaper alternatives on the market but the attention to the small details on this product puts this jacket on the top of it's class. As a minimalist, I rather pay more to have one incredible jacket than two mediocre ones. I absolutely love the Ignite color!
