I've worn ASICS for 13 years now solely because of their comfortable insole, but these are like a rock. Putting "gel" in the name seems like an Emperor Has No Clothes kind of move, because the insole is 100% immovably rock hard.

These shoes fit well but one of the laces was tucked into the shoe and was brown and discolored when I pulled it out. I was able to wash it and then put some bleach on it and now it looks fine. I didn't want to go to the hassle of returning them, but it was kind of weird.

The colors and the shoe style looked nice, but for functional purposes, these shoes failed. The shoes were very uncomfortable and my heels were blistered after running with it. I do not recommend these shoes.

Although the shoes fit, I normally wear size 10, and tried on a 10.5, I didn't really like how they felt. They felt over-all, for lack of a better word, cheap. The sole is glued down (not removable) and there was a small gap between the sole and the side of the shoe that felt weird when I walked around. So I ended up returning them.

I ordered size 8 1/2 wide. The shoes are too short and too wide and the back is uncomfortable. I don't like the style either. The white sole showing all around from the front makes them look even wider. I am returning them.

dont get me wrong there are comfortable,but you get what you pay for. the toe or front half of the shoe looks wet\wrinkled. I wouldnt buy another pair. not happy, too much trouble to return. Gym shoes now.

I wanted to like these shoes SO bad! ASICS discontinued my old go to running shoes on their website so I decided to try these based off the great reviews. They are SO uncomfortable. The toe box is HUGE so I tried lacing them tighter... didn't help. I tried loosening them and that didn't help either. I even tried different socks. Super bummed!

I bought this a couple of months back and ad high expectations. Fit was perfect, comfortable and light weight. But suddenly I saw that the top of the shoe, right above the big toe has started developing a hole. Seriously how can a shoe be so flimsy and wear out within such a short time of just 135 miles. I have had to put a tape from inside the shoe and hoping it lasts for some more time. In comparison I did 500 miles in my Nike Free run and it is still good for another 200 miles. I was hoping ASICS shoes would be better but I now have to go back to Nike or some other brand. Don't expect this from such a highly rated brand. Maybe this was a defect but no way to know as I use this only on the trail for running and nothing else.

I wore these shoes for workouts for 3 - 4 days a week doing running, weights and rowing. The first month they felt great. After that they really started to go down hill. These shoes started making my joints hurt so bad I couldn’t finish a workout. I would not recommend.
