I kept these shoes although my toe was right at the end. I ordered two additional pair one size up. They are comfortable but run small in the toe box. Would prefer they came in WW but with the W my foot doesn’t blob over the sole. Used for walking and exercise - feel ok.

I've been wearing Asics for many years. It used to be they were very dependable in the length and width however, for the past few years that doesn't seem to be the case. This pair, along with others I've tried in the past are more narrow than the Asics of past. I generally wear a size 9 so I have room to put in an orthotic however, in this shoe, my toes were at the tip of the shoe without even adding an orthotic. The shoe was also narrower than Asics of the past. Sadly, I had to return these.

I have worn gel-Nimbus for 10 years. The 21's give me blisters on the back of my foot every time I wear them. I run 30 miles per week.

Seems to run small
I’m to used to Brooks, thought I’d try Asics again but just not as comfortable!
Returning these and going back to Brooks.
As always great customer service!!

The fit, finally was very good. Unfortunately I found these shoes to be very stiff not very flexible or cushioned :(

I have always purchased Asics but I think it might be time for a new brand. The last few purchases have been less than satisfactory. I have terrible blisters from this shoe. I purchased the 8 wide but it is still very narrow. I figured the wide would make up for the small build of the shoe. I was afraid to get the 81/2 because then its too loose. The laces are way to short to tie the shoe all the way to keep the foot from sliding in the back. Great on support but lacking in comfort.

I bought this sneakers for walking and I have a narrow foot but these sneakers were hard to get on. Once I got them on they felt ok but still tight where I tie them. I highly suggest if anyone purchases a pair to go with a wider width. Once I got them on there are ok. The material isn’t that great it looks like it could rip I don’t know what it is made of but it is softer on the top.

I was hoping for a stability running shoe with a cloud-like feel. While this shoe provided tons of stability, I did not feel that it had enough cushioning for me. I think someone who does not need as much cushioning, though, would love this shoe because it would have helped my overpronation. I tried to get used to it by wearing it on the carpet, but I could feel the ground, which is not my running style. It was a beautiful shoe. I ended u returning it.

I bought the heritage blue and the colors look different online especially the soles very bright and the fit was tight also.I normally wear an 8 1/2 and I bought the size 9 and there isn't much wiggle room and it isn't worth the price for a pair of sneakers that really fit snug and I know that it's not going to be comfortable for my feet so for that they will be returned.I have other ASICS sneakers that fit perfect

The fit is okay, but the shoes continue to feel stiff and the souls somewhat hard--not the usual cushioning I associate with shoes in this price range. Probably would not purchase again.

I read the reviews about the sizing and decided to order them anyway since I wear a size 12 and ordering up is not usually an option. They do run small so I am returning them.

Asics GT- 2000 series was my go-to shoe until a few years ago when the toe box became very narrow and tight. I checked every year and finally found these. I would have given them 5 stars except for two reasons: 1) I usually wear a 9 but in this style had to go up to a 9.5. 2) different colors offered in this shoe are also a different style, with mesh-like cover at the toe. The mesh style did not fit me as well as - or the same as - the style I purchased in white. I figured this out over many orders, re-orders and returns. This style in Asics used to be so comfortable so consistent in sizing. I can't figure out why Asics would take a great shoe, narrow the toe box and started messing with sizes. Thank you, Zappos for being so understanding about returns!

I wanted to love these. They felt great while I sprinted up and down my hallway, but for one problem: they are very tight in the upper back of the heel. So tight that they were painfully pinching my achilles tendon. The rest of the shoe fit perfectly - sizing up would not be a viable option for me.

Dedicated to gel nimbus for last several years and naturally I purchased the '21 version. I'm disappointed in the fit. The heel cup is uncomfortable and has been painful and still hasn't been broken in after weeks of running. I'm looking for leftovers of the prior version to get me through the fall races.

Gel Nimbus 18 was THE BEST. The 21's aren't nearly as comfortable and look cheaper. I bought 2 pairs and sent them back. Wish I had bought more of the 18's. When they feel like those again, look good, and are as cushion-y soft as those, I will stick up and buy several pairs. Listen to the consumers, Asics...they have spoken! :)

The cushioning of the footbed was uneven, too much support in the heel and much less cushion on the forefoot. Seemed heavier than the Brooks Adrenaline, which is my usual shoe
I'd also recommend:

If you have narrow feet these shoes are not for you. I was in love with the colors and design but the fit was not good for me as I have narrow feet. They run small in length. Ended up exchanging for the previous nimbus 20 and I am much happier with the fit.

I ordered an 8 D and 8 1/2D in this shoe. Just 2 -3 years ago I could order an 8B from Asics and knew it would be a perfect fit until they narrowed the toe box. The 8 1/2 D was too big, the heel slipped, the toe box had wrinkles in it from excess room. I kept the 8 but I feel my big toe hitting the shoe tip and they are hard to take off, I use the extra eyelets provided for a snugger fit. I'm keeping them only because I threw out the box they arrived in and they're ok in the house but not for 5 miles of walking.

Although I am still trying to break the sneakers in, I have to say that I really do miss the softer landing when walking. I started getting these particular sneakers several years ago, and they used to have more of a softer cushion. I still have several of my older pairs, and I put them on every once in a while because they are still in decent shape. This is how I know that they once had a softer feel on the sole when walking. I realize that I still need to break the man; however, I also feel as if there was some more room with the wires surrounding the ball of the foot on the older shoes. I apologize for seeming hypercritical.

I love the toe box on this model, but lacks the cushion the previous models have had , especially in the front of the shoe. My feet end up hurting at the end of the day. In previous models they did not.

I bought these to help with my pronation. I usually run in Gel Kayano 25 and thought the GT might help more. Love the extra width I asked for, but not a fan of the less flexible shoe bottom. Re-ordered my Gel Kayano this week.

I have been wearing ASICS for walking/running for years. They have been the best fitting shoes for me until this pair. I bought the same size as my previous pairs, at least 4, yet they don't seem to be built as tall as the others. They feel tight on the tops of me feet and it's not how tight the laces are tied, even with the laces pulled as loose as they go the shoe still feels tight on the tops of my feet. I love everything else about these shoes but I'm not sure I will be able to wear them for my upcoming half marathon as planned.

I have been wearing the Nimbus for the last 5 years in UK size 8.5 and have found them extremely comfortable. Bought the 21 to run a marathon in April and they are too tight on the toe, will only be able to use for 5-10km runs. Really disappointed after spending so much on them.

I've been buying, wearing and running the Gel-Nimbus line into the ground for the past bazillion years. They've always fit to a T! Very comfy, great support, I've been extremely happy. I do notice this latest version seems a little "thin". Maybe it'll grow on me after I log in a few more extreme runs. But the first 20 have just been - meh.
