These are really beautiful boots. The leather looks and feels like a high quality, the gold studs add a nice touch. I have tried them on with jeans tucked in and they look great, although they are a little tight around the calf. I was surprised that they come up higher on my leg than my other boots, they end just under my kneecap, and other boots I have are about an inch shorter (I'm 5'7" for reference). Maybe if they were looser around my calf they would 'settle' more around the ankle... Not really a problem, will definitely keep them.

I have small ankles and this boot is narrow there. The calves fit me perfect even with jeans. But I can see where the regular should be labeled narrow. The toes of the boot are pointed and take that into consideration when purchasing. I bought a 1/2 larger than normal and was glad of it. Beautiful and comfortable. Happy with purchase

Great boots! Beautiful leather, very classy look. They fit perfectly and didn’t really need broken in. I’ve been wearing them almost everyday since I bought them, and they did not make my feet sore at all. They are tall, they come up to my knees, but that is not bothersome to me at all. I am 5’2”.

Love these boots. True knee high and look amazing. Fit like a glove and wore them to work the first day. Felt like slippers on my feet! I have a bu yon on inside of left foot and often find it hard to fit without pinching there. Not so with these. Can't wait to get them 'broke in' so they don't look quite so new....lol. I can tell these are going to be my 'go to' boots!

I really really like these boots so far. Very comfortable. Simple and sleek, can be worn to work all day, dressed up or casual. They look good with skirts/leggings/jeans. Great quality for the price. It sounds like they may not work for some, depending on calf length. I did not have the problem of the boot rubbing on my knee at all, and I like the extra tall height.

This boot is stylish & comfortable. Plenty of upper calf room; quality leather.

I'm so disappointed these didn't work for me - I first ordered the WC boot and it was too wide so I tried the regular calf size and it was too tight. I LOVE THESE but sadly going to have to return them. I'll keep searching.

I am a big fan of Franco Sarto shoes and boots. These boots live up to the FS reputation for fit, style, and comfort. They will be my go-to boot for the cold-weather months. I like the tall shaft. The boots look dressy even though they have a flat/low heel. I will wear them with jeans and with skirts.

I love this boot - I am actually an 11.5 but have to buy 12 because there are not many 11.5 size shoes/boots and this boot fit PERFECTLY!! I love this boot!

I love these boots but have to return them. My left calf is bigger than my right and the left boot was too tight with jeans. I opted for the wide calf version on the Franco Sarto site b/c Zappos didn't carry them in the color I was looking for. But these boots are GORGEOUS. I'm 5"9 and they come up to my knee without covering it. The leather is incredibly soft and I love the style.

If the shaft of the boot had been 1-2 inches shorter, I would have kept this boot. They came up just a little higher than I wanted- covering bottom portion of my knee. Otherwise, beautiful color and beautiful style

I was ecstatically happy with these boots; the quality was excellent, soft, supple leather, beautiful detailing and the product description was right on. I have a 15 1/2 inch calf and am 5'8" and usually have trouble with the fit unless i get a wide calf. I wanted these to fit perfect as I bought them to wear with dresses and they do. Very happy and appreciate that zappos carries upper end products with reasonable prices and the shipping is amazing.

As others have also said, these are beautiful boots but go up too high on my shins, to the point of rubbing against my kneecap. Sadly I'll have to return them.

First ordered a 9 which is my normal size and the boot was too short. Switched them for a 9 1/2 and my foot is al over the place - just too big. The calf was also too big for me although I am a runner and I have fairly big calves - I could easily pinch two inches of leather at my calf. Overall the boots are beautifully made, very stylish, the leather is very nice. I am sad they didn't work for me.

Visually, I really liked these boots - nice leather, easy to put on, warm color I wanted, but they were too tall. The 3.4" difference in the shaft height was more noticeable than I anticipated. While I like the look of the taller boot, I was constantly aware of the extra height, slightly pushing into or resting on the back of my knee cap. For me, it was too noticeable so I returned them.

As another reviewer posted, this boot needs to be about 1 inch shorter in shaft height for it to be ideal. I love everything about it (just a tad wide at the top, actually) except for the fact that the front hits right in the middle of my knee (I'm 5'4") which is simply too annoying to put up with when walking around. Sadly these are going back!

I loved this boot... I ordered one size larger than I normally wear (I normally wear a 10, so I ordered an 11) so I would have room to wear socks. The foot was nice and roomy without being over large - exactly what I wanted. The leather is beautiful and the style is wonderful. That said... the shaft of the boot was too long (I have short legs at 5' 4" tall, 178#, with large calves - i was still able to zip them up my 16.5" calves). I believe my calves measure about 18" from the floor to the prominent tendon on the back inside bend of my knee... and the shaft dug right into that tendon. Unhappily, I am returning them.

These boots were so nice. The color is a deep wine and I loved them. Unfortunately they were too tight around the calves. I normally wear wide calf and they are slightly too big. I read the reviews on the wide calf and reviewers said they were way too big so I purchased these instead but they were too small around the calf. The height was right below the knee which I loved. I am 5'7 and have a very hard time finding tall boots that aren't an inch or two too short. These were perfect height for me. Had to return though. Ordered the wide calf and will see what happens there.

Really loved these boots but the front of the boot comes up a bit higher than a typical boot and kept rubbing me on the knee-- I was worried that it would end up causing irritation so I did return them. But style-wise, they were my favorite!

I usually wear a size 8 and these boot felt smaller than that. The leather was stiff. Since they were already too small, they were uncomfortable. The boot shaft was very tall. I have average length legs and these were taller than I wanted and up to my knee. They are beautiful boots, just not right for me.

Lovely color. Great brand. Unfortunately, it just was too big for me. I read all the reviews: most of them said that it was true to size. I ordered my normal size, 6.5 M, but it still was too big for me. My ankle kept slipping up as I walked so I knew that the boots would get looser as the leather stretched. Sadly I had to return it. Love Zappos return policy.
