Customer Reviews New Balance 608v5

I bought 608v.5 for training and walking, instead of my go-to 857's. I need a wide shoe that fits a short foot. The big difference so far: $55 cheaper! I may discover in time that my previous shoe is superior, but these new ones are working great for now.

I've been wearing New Balance 608 for a few years now. I am practically living in them since I had a stroke and ankle surgery. I can't wear just any sneaker and these seem to be the best for me and they are podiatrist recommended.

I use the shoes for casual times. Great shoes with the correct fit for me.

This is an excellent product. However, New Balance offers 2E which is extra wide an 4E which is extra extra wide. LL Bean uses the term "extra wide" not offering a choice between 2E and 4E. They sent me 2E, I needed 4E. Apparently LL Bean does not offer 4E. Their return policy went fine . I will continue to order other merchandise from LL Bean in the future.

I am a Senior citizen who has worn this style for years. The white leather is perfect for Tennis but also assures a good fit even ordering online. Great value and a solution to many painful foot issues as I age. I keep one pair for dog walking and the new pair for my weekly tennis....with ladies half my age:)

Been wearing the 517s. The 608 is Not even close to as good. Of a shoe. Couldn't find the 517 in my size so I took a shot! Oh well

There is less room in the toe box - Ive owned and loved previous versions of the 608, but in this one (same size) my big toe hits the tip of the shoe (note - I wear orthotics, which wasnt a problem with previous 608s). The heel area is also looser, so that my heel comes out of the shoe when I walk. I will try a different style and hope for a better fit.

I'll admit first and foremost that these were pretty uncomfortable out of the box. I was working with a 2-year old pair of the UK Mades (thoroughly broken-in) and the extra padding on the ball of the footbed was especially awkward. However- that padding settled into it's own, as the shoes broke-in. I guess, in that sense there is a break-in period, so be aware of that. Anyways, all that aside, these are fantastic shoes. Comfy for all day use. I wear them in the gym. I wear them on runs, on my bike, at work (standing a lot). I really couldn't speak to durability at this point- but they seem hefty enough. I get compliments on them...which is...unexpected. I got the all white pair, and actually anticipated them getting dirty. What you're left with is a reliable look- time tested and true.

I needed a new pair of shoes to continue my favorite combination of walking/jog and treadmill work. My new shoes are predictably comfortable and supportive. I suffer from foot nerve pain without the proper support and I am very pleased with these shoes..

This shoe has been around for a long time It fits and it comes in different widths and 1/2 sizes

Almost the same shoe I have been purchasing for the last 25 yrs. This pair is having a long break-in period. Most of the past shoes had almost no break-in needed.

Quality and fit are excellent. recently got a new drop toe brace and had to go down a size and width to better fit the brace. Could not find any size11 4E widths in the stores. Was delivered within the time specified at check out.

All I ware are the 608s. Getting Less An Less time Out of THEM. Very disappointed they're not lasting For The Price.
