I reviewed this before but this needs to be said. please disregard my previous review. chalk it up to ignorance. this version of the 608 is far superior in comfort and fit. the polyurethane insole is very comfortable. while the toebox is a little narrower it is still a good fit widthwise. it also has more room for the instep area. it will also accomadate orthotics like the v4did.the only question I have is how long this shoe will last due to the faux leather construction. read in another review that sometimes the outsole will come unglued from the faux leather at the seam. will let you know how well it does for me. all in all a very good shoe. wore them for the first time at work for 10 hrs. on hard cement and they preformed excellently.

Pretty decent sneaker just for knocking around. It has noarch support. If you have Plantar Fasciitis like I do, a replacement is a must. I use a Finn Comfort Finnamic which is their soft insole. It’s very comfortable. Birkenstock had an even better one ..... their soft footbed ..... but they stopped selling it about 3 years ago. A decent sneaker but the NB 990v4 is light years better. Like walking on a cloud. I love the 990 ..... other guys don’t. I tried about 10 different styles of NB ..... thank you Zappos. Ended up with the 608 and the 990. To wear all day, I recommend the 990. A trip to the grocery store or to walk the dog, the 608 is fine. I ordered the extra wide. I usually take an “M” but the Finn Comfort insole squeezed the toebox Nd I was getting blisters. The slightly wider shoe fits perfectly. Never wore an extra wide in my 68 years until now. It really helped. Try it guys if you get frustrated. Worst that happens it doesn’t fit and you send it back .... free. I tried Nike, SAS, Mephisto .... a bunch. NB fit the best.

My husband likes these shoes, they fit all of his requirements, mostly white, comfortable and lightweight.

Idk what's going on with NB but these shoes are small and not as wide.

Fit was as expected. Ample room in the toe area. Comfortable with adequate support. Good shoe for all activities.

Wore the sneakers"out of the box" and on a concrete floor for eight hours and they felt great. I have worn New Balance for years and the fit was right. With leather uppers, the sneakers look great and the slip resistant soles worked like they should.

I bought these New Balance 608 to replace a pair of 609 I had for years. I bought exactly the same size. The 608 toe box is a little more narrow than the old 609, but the overall fit is very good.

This is my favorite shoe always have 2pairs one white on black. Fits perfect and it seems the quality and integrity of this shoe may be getting better .

I bought these for my husband because his last pair of Nikes were falling apart. He needs a wide shoe and they're not often easy to find in stores. He says the New Balance sneaks (he's Australian, so he says "trainers") are very comfortable. He likes the way they look as well. We're hoping they last longer than the Nikes, which are only about a year old.

Very happy with the MX608v5. I wear 11 EE and these fit perfectly. Very comfortable. I walk alot and usually go through a pair of sneakers in about a year. We'll see how they last.

Well made only shoes that fit my 4e

The shoes fit and feel good on the feet. Unfortunately they are platform shoes. I feel two inches taller wearing them. Another issue is that my toes can make contact with the ground in these shoes.
