Following up my review from last month. As mentioned, I have worn a version of this sneaker for almost 20 years. I always ordered 81/2 M and they fit perfectly. The last two pair I purchased have been uncomfortable and the length felt short. I wasn't sure what had happen and finally decided to do a side by side comparison with an old pair I started wearing again. See attached picture. The sneaker on the right is the new sneaker and It is clear the sole has been redesigned. This design change makes the sure extremely uncomfortable for me and causes pain in my knees and Achilles Tendons. I can longer wear this style sneaker. I have to say good bye to what was once my "go to" sneaker.

The shoes aren't as good looking as I thought they would be and they pinch my little toe.

The LOOK and construction appears to be the same, but I have the exact same size and width in white that I have purchased for a LONG time, and these black ones are NOT the same. I buy the 2E wide (NOT the EXTRA wide) because I use an arch support insole and this has worked out fine for YEARS. But with these black ones, no matter how tight I get the laces, my heel comes right up out of the shoe. If I wore them for 5 hrs, I would have raw skin on the back of my foot/heel - with normal socks. NOT happy. Might try other colors, but guessing I am stuck with white. And NB probably thinks they are good selling because they are white, and not because the other colors don't fit the same. Once they change the white ones, I will be switching brands, because they don't last that long either. Not made like they used to be!!! Constantly re-gluing the soles back on in various spots. I would pay more for better quality & longer lasting.

I was disappointed with these shoes. After taking a walk in them, I realized that these shoes don't provide good arch support. I will have to keep them because I threw the box and receipt away. Will have to purchase some kind of insoles to make to them wearable.

I purchased these shoes to wear at work (all black shoes are required), where I do an hourly walk around a gravel area monitoring security. After only a couple shifts, the rubber started to fall apart around the front/toe section. They were comfortable enough, but won't last long at all - not worth the money.

Poor construction results in a loud popping and squishing sound when walking. Recommended remedy on NB website does not solve this problem.

I've been using this shoes every day, are nice and comfortable but they get ruined too soon by my achilles tendon

Use this as a house shoe. Never worn away from the house in 2 years. They look like brand new except for the sole peeling away from the uppers. Only gave them 2 stars for the comfort. I have a pair of NB 624s that are over 6 years old & soles are still intact. In all fairness, I had a pair of Nike Monarchs do the same thing in one year, & absolutely will never buy them again either.

...my shoes didn't squeak on hard floors while I'm wearing them for work.

I ordered a size wide new balance shoe, and the toes section of the shoe is still too small. I am very disappointed

The WIDE was not available, so I had to order the regular width; however, they were so narrow that they hurt my feet without even walking around in them. I returned them, but have not received my refund yet, as they're waiting for their "quarantine" to be over. Not a great experience...

I loved the color, material and quality, but I ordered 2A (narrow) and it is not narrow.

First time the soles of my feet ever hurt after wearing these new shoes for less than an hour. If would be better standing barefooted on concrete. .

Medium fits wide. There is only regular sizes. It is a hit and miss.

What have you done to these shoes! I have worn 608s exclusively for a few years, but these seem much stiffer and actually are uncomfortable. It looks like you have removed the extra cushioning under the insole. Please put it back. These used to be great shoes!

I wanted the tops to be mesh, and looking at the pictures I thought it was like the past 5 pairs I ordered on line. BUT these were solid leather, and the tops of my toes became sore and blistered when I walked, I could not use them past the first 2 days.
