Customer Reviews New Balance 608v5

A friend gave me a pair of 608V4. Most comfortable shoe I ever worn!!! Tried to order on line the exact type, no luck it seems that they don't make them anymore; so i purchased 608v5 thinking its close, this shoe is not comfortable, stiff shoe, cushioning is poor. I work in a hospital and floors will tear your feet up.

I ware these shoes everyday and have been buying them for years. I just bought two pairs of these and the toe box is very narrow and curved, which isn't comfortable on the toes. The two pair I bought before these had a wider and straighter two box and were more comfortable. I've seen the 608 change a lot over the years and it hasn't always been for the better. Please consider the impact that these types of changes can have before moving forward with them.

I have trouble finding comfortable shoes so have tried several pairs this spring. I thought these would work for me but after several attempts I'm sending them back. The foot bed to me in hard and not supportive, the shoes seem too big although this is my usual size. The sole seems stiff and unresponsive.

I don't think that new balance will make the model as it used to. the old model had more cushion around the ankle and more cushion in the sole. But, it is still worth wearing

I use this shoe for work they are really comfortable great grip but they don't breathe this well as they could my feet are always sweaty and I have to change my socks

Not as supportive as I thought it would be. Ok shoe.

But they are not comfortable. They taper to the toe and are too snug for what I consider to be a true D width. They give good arch support - I just cannot wear them comfortably for more than 30-40 minutes, which isn't long enough time for my usual workouts. If I had tried these on in a shoe store, I would have passed - I guess that's the chance you take buying shoes on-line.

These shoes run a half size too big and are not as comfortable as I had hoped.

Some shoes you just put on and they feel great. Not these, hate to deal with returning things so I'm going to "try" to break them in. Guess the only way to buy comfortable shoes is in a store... in person.

I ordered a size based on another NB shoe I owned, and when I received these they were simply huge! I have no criticism of the product, but it's frustrating to see size differentials between models so vast. Although I didn't reorder, I would have needed at least a size smaller, and forget about the extra width. Wouldn't have been necessary - and I ALWAYS order extra wide shoes.

Sturdy shoe, but flimsy thin insert. I replaced it with a firmer thicker insert with added arch support.

I wanted to use this shoe for walking and for other non-running activities. With the running shoes I own for New Balance, the width (AA-narrow) runs true to size. This shoe runs too wide.

I've been wearing these for many years. This new pair is the same size as before but runs too big.

These are supposed to be 4x wide...not so, they are just normal width...whoever's sizes these things must be a skinny woman

The size fit right, but the uppers are stiff when walking which causes pain due to my neuropathy.

I am disappointed at this point. Very satisfied with prior 608 purchases. They changed the insert this time. It is raised by the ball of the foot behind the toes. It makes my foot ache. I switch shoes like anyone and this causes issues. I called and asked for a flat insert. This would fix the problem. Refused to do it. Not happy.

I have happily worn this style for many years. But this newest model has less cushioning under the inside seam on the outer edge of sneaker. Hurts my right foot.

I ordered this particular shoe because I purchased it in white and it was a most comfortable shoe. However, this shoe doesn't feel like the same shoe. It is not comfortable even though it is supposed to be the same model and it was ordered in the same size. Will not order online for shoes again. One thing I suppose you must try on. Thanks, Terri

I needed a pair so I bought them First time I bought a pair of sneakers on the intronet
