I have a spur with the back of one foot and w/o an extra heavy sock this boot irritated my heal. Its is a clunky look, but without the heal issue, I would have kept it. I am 67 y/o and 5'3", guess I'll never look like Kate Middleton!

Great fit. I love it.

I think there is an error in sizing for this pair. The right shoe fit perfectly and the left was too small and very tight around the ankle. I could hardly get it on.

These Chelsea boots are very rugged and classy looking. They take a little effort to put on but they fit true to size to my feet. My arch is quite high so the heal was not comfortable for me (despite Blundstone adding some optional inserts). I think the issue is my feet, not the shoe. I wished they would work for me but I had to return them due to that issue.

Shoes seem to fit well, not broken in yet, a few places hurt, but think they will be great! Love the color and look, very happy!!

Really wanted these to work! I wish Blundstone offered 1/2 sizes. It wasn't clear to me from the sizing info. offered on Zappos, but the 1/2 sizes are NOT longer in Blundstones, only wider. So, I originally bought an 8. My usual size is 7 1/2 or 8. In the 8, my toe was right up against the end of shoe and not comfortable. I ordered the 8 1/2 and it was the same thing. That is when I discovered on Blundstone's website that the 1/2 sizes are not longer, only wider. I ordered the 9 and my foot is sliding back and forth too much, even with the extra inserts provided. They feel so comfortable in width and cushioning otherwise. I feel like they run 1/2 size small in this particular style. Hope the sizing info. is helpful!

Nice boot BUT.. runs at least one probably two sizes bigger for us in the USA. The first shipment was sent to the wrong address. Called the folks at Zappos and they immediately sent out a replacement with no fuss… no muss. Thank you for the OUTSTANDING customer service!! I will be buying from Zappos in the future.

I own a black pair of Blundstones that I bought a couple of years ago in a size 5 (women’s 8) and they are my favorite fall/winter boots. I wanted a brown pair too and after reading the reviews about inconsistent sizing, I ordered a 5, 5.5, and 6. NONE of them fit me well. My toes hit the ends of the size 5 and 5.5 but my feet were swimming in the size 6, even with wool socks and the extra insert provided. My black pair fit perfectly right out of the box so I’m confused and really bummed. The Antique Brown is a gorgeous color. Much prettier in person. I ended up buying the heeled boot, 1673, in Antique Brown in a 5.5, which is a women’s boot (rather than unisex) and they fit me so much better. They were snug across the top of the foot at first but after wearing them around the house for a couple of days with thick wool socks, they had already loosened up enough that I know they’ll fit great.

Shoes look nice and are comfortable. Need about a week for so to break them in. Not too bad at first but get real comfortable after a week.

Very hard to get on and off-required help! Not well cushioned. Nice looking boot, but definitely not a comfort boot. Given the low heel and casual style, expected more comfort.

The 550 series (which this shoe is) does not fit my feet. That’s why I am giving this shoe 3 stars. But I love the color and style. I am a size 6.5/7 women’s. Which means that size 4 should have fit but it was too small. My left toe touched the tip of the shoe and my toes felt cramped. I tried a size 5 and my feet were swimming in them. Size 4.5 wouldn’t work because it’s the same length as the 4. I switched to the 500 series which offers plenty of space for my toes in size 4. Sadly, the 500 series does not have this antique brown color so I had to get rustic brown. Fit perfectly and with plenty of space in the toe area to be comfortable. If the 550’s aren’t working, I suggest trying the 500’s. More spacious and just as much comfort as far as my feet can tell. If you can get 550’s to work for you, more power to ya.

i have been wearing Blundstones for years and am seeing a decline in quality, especially in the consistency of their sizing. When they first stopped making the boots in Australia, the quality remained good despite the manufacturuing change. It seems though in last few years it has been declining. I have stitching coming undone in one pair right now in a pair that are about three years old, yet the same pair from way back and made in Austrailia, are in great condition, just very very worn and old. They used to last a long time. As for these boots, the BL 1609, I just taped up the box for return. Very cute, actually seemed pretty decently made. Thank you Zappos for awesome customer service and this problem is not your fault! The boots were indeed marked correctly - AU 5.5, which should be a US 8.5 but instead fit like a US 7.5. Had same issue when trying to purchase the new style with the higher heel. By time I figured out the correct size the size was out of stock. Blundstone newer styles are running small. The classic styles as in the 500, 550, I think are still sized standard Blundstone. Buyer beware and maybe contact Blundstone before ordering to find out what is going on with sizing for whatever you may be looking at. Very frustrating. Has always been my go-to classic Chelsea style.

This is a heavy boot and the back cuts in to your skin above the ankle.

Wish I could keep these boots. I love the look and style. I have a high instep, and with experience have learned that some shoes, particularly boots that cover my instep, eventually start to hurt the top of my foot, even if they don't bother me initially. So I wore these around the house on two different occasions for about 30 minutes each. The foot bed and arch support felt really comfortable, but after about 30 minutes my instep started to ache. I was told that the 550 series may suit my issue better than some of the other models, but it doesn't look like I'll be able to wear these and be comfortable. I'm sad that I have to return them.

I ordered a size 11 women's and received a size 8. I am unable to reach customer service due to the holiday.
