I never write reviews but I'm so let down by Sorel I had to post this one. I've had Sorel boots my entire life, and love them. These conquest boots are made poorly. The cheap rubber came apart at the seam with the leather and cracked. Do not waste your money on these boots. What a shame.

I've had these boots for a few years now only wear them shoveling snow maybe 20 times and the lower part of the boot fell apart. Absolute garbage regret spending the $$$

I was happy to get a couple years of light use out of them but when I put them on for a third year they completely broke apart. Note the sole has little wear.

I only wore these boots about 6 times over 2 years and the seam split in the front of both boots. Sorel should have a "recall" on these boots. The worst quality I've ever had from a Sorel product.

Loves the look, style and feel of this boot. Fitted me nicely. My first pair of Snow Boots ever as I have recently moved to the North East. However, my first pair ripped at the seams were the rubbe and the leather joined. That was in the secon year of the firt pair. O.k. i decied to give them another chance and bought a secon pair. Again, i love the look and feel of the boot. Unfortunately, the same thing happen in the exact same location on the boot. So ther must be some weakness in the production process.

These boots are absolutely horrible. Bought them for my brother to have a "good" pair of boots at work and he only wore them for 4 hours walking around a hardware store. And they separated from the seem. Where the rubber meets the leather of the boots.

I bought a pair of Conquest a couple years ago. I had only worn them once or twice since I had a pair of Sorel Caribou boots that I've had for 30+ years. I went to Alaska and decided to take my "like new" Conquest boots on the trip because I thought they would be warmer in the extreme cold of Alaska. The problem was that they fell apart after only wearing them a couple of days. They separated at the seam where the leather uppers meet the rubber lower portion just like what other reviews have indicated. They didn't just separate a little. Approximately 2/3 of that seam had separated on both boots making them useless. This created a huge issue for me since I was out in the bush of Alaska with no winter boots. I consider myself lucky that my feet did not get frostbit. Based on my experience and the large number of reviews that describe this same issue it is clear that Sorel has a major quality issue with this boot. Continuing to sell this boot without addressing this issue is clear negligence on their part. I strongly recommend that others not buy this boot!!

Have these boots less than 2 yrs and the rubber section is cracking and falling apart as well as the stiching area where the rubber and the leather upper section meets completely separated. The boot must have a material defect.

I use to love this boots, size, comfort, how they look, everything was ok.I barely use this boots in 3 years. About 2 months per year like too much. Now they crack in the seem between leather and rubber. No warranty and nothing that could be done to fix it.I had one pair of Columbia that last me like for 10 years.I would preferred to spend a few more bucks with the competition. Now I regret. TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. I would strongly NOT RECOMMENDED this boots.

I liked the fit, the look, the comfort, and the warmth of these boots, but They self destructed. I was a very gentle user of these boots, only wearing them to 'go out' when appropriate. I have pair of another brand that I use around the yard etc.. That said I wore these boot for a walk down to the lake to take a look at the ice for skating and when I came home I found that the rubber on the side of the boot had broken open making the boots now useless. What a waste. These boots still look like new. Of course they are out of warranty. Today I looked and found many other reviews that others have had the same failure. DO NOT BUY THESE BOOTS. I would not buy any more Sorel products.

Mens Conquest Boot's Rubber sole is brittle in the cold and breaks into pieces, leaving the upper connected only with the insulation below. No options for repair or recycle. Product should be removed.

I have owned two pair of these boots. The first pair were wonderful and perfect for my needs. They were great in heavy snow conditions in open terrain. That pair was stolen from my truck.
I received a second pair as a gift and I couldn't be more upset. After only a couple of uses the rubber two outer covering becomes so brittle in the cold that it literally cracks into pieces almost as soon as you hit the cold.
I called customer service and since the boots one year warranty had expired there was nothing they could do. (this was the first time I had had an opportunity to use the boots, they are not for your everyday stroll)
The problem is a material defect and Sorel should own up to it and offer some sort of resolution but they refuse.
I can not recommend this boot or Sorel based on their customer service.

I've had this pair and 8 other pairs, of good boots in my closet for many years. Living in the Seattle area, you don't need this type of boot very many times a year. I figured I would have them for many more years. Bottom line the plastic broke off of the upper portion of the boot. Broke off at the stich line.

I'm heartbroken. My Uncle Ron passed away and my Aunt gave me a few of his things. These exact boots looked and felt brand new. Few years old at best. Wore them once this weekend to the Patriots 30 degree game. Got home and realized the rubber cracked in 2 places and the upper leather had torn away from the rubber 3/4 of the leather tore away. Beautiful boot, sentimental for me as they were worn by a great man. Too bad this defect has not been addressed by Sorel. Hate to throw them away but no way to repair.

I initially loved these boots. For the past couple years they got light duty until the leather separated from the rubber. I was surprised that this intersection didn't have a full leather overlap or at least a larger overlap. There was no way to repair them with SHOE GOO. A bad design for sure. If Sorel ever fixes this problem and advertises that it has been redesigned, I might even buy another pair. However, I feel that they owe me at this point.

Like the other 100% factual one-star reviews, the rubber separated from the "full-grain leather synthetic textile upper." I've worn them less than a dozen times. The most irritating thing is not the description of "rugged and durable," which is completely false, or that Sorel continues to sell the boot despite knowing it is trash. The most irritating thing is the "customers" who blatantly lie and give the boot a five-star rating as a "Sweepstakes Entry." Someone actually wrote a review claiming that the boot has a "five-year warranty"

I've been a dedicated sorel wearer for many many years.
This boot and the customer service I've been dealing with has me searching for another brand.
Never had a boot self destruct like the conquest. Looks like I'll go back to the bean boot, Less traction, But holds up to walking up alpine ski trails. ALSO, Full replacement if damaged while using. UNLIKE sorel-

I have a pair of these which are about a year old and the rubber toe separated from the boot and cracked. They are now destroyed due to normal usage. The boots are warm, comfortable, and a great design but from what I have experienced and read they are not reliable. The only way I would buy them again is if they guaranteed them for at least 5 years.

All the good reviews are new because the boots look and feel great. They DO NOT last. Trust me. I have had tons of Sorels and these are a waste of $.
PLEASE!!! I'm trying to help you!! I'm a sucker out $150.

Believe the 1 star reviews!!! Everyone that has these boots are having the exact same issues and it's not a joke. My boots are doing the same thing, at the seam where the rubber meets the leather, my boots have split open.

I wore out a great pair of Sorels and thought I would upgrade them with one of their best models. Like so many reviews mention, the rubber became hard and cracked rendering these boots useless. Very disappointing as I didn't wear these often. The rubber isn't formulated properly. Maybe they have addressed the issue but I'm not about to spend $150 to find out.

I bought these boots to wear when we get snow here in Seattle Wa. So I got them maybe 5 years ago wearing maybe 10 times at the most. This last snow I put them on to shovel snow and walked out side and I noticed my boots had literally separated the sole from the top!! The rubber they use is very low grade and especially for the cost of these. Do not buy these boots!!
