Overall, I love these boots but they have a couple issues. The Whiskey Wild Steer color is not as deep or as red as it looks online, and within a single (gentle) wearing, there were a lot of visible scuffs and light spots. I'll be oiling or waxing them to see if I can mitigate that. I sized up half a size to fit my insoles, and then only my half-length insoles fit not my full-length orthotics. It's a bit tight over the arches, but in general pretty comfy. There is good cushion, heel height is perfect and the ankle amazingly does not rub. I'm considering more colors!

I am in-between an 8.5 and a 9, I always try the 9 first, but in this style it was too big. I tried the 8.5 and it seemed too small, then I reordered another 8.5 and it fit! it was worth the reordering, very cute and love the whiskey wild steer color

Loved them out of the box and wore them to work. After a few hours realized they are a bit too loose in the heel, which made a not so wonderful squeaky nose as my sock rubbed the back of the shoe. Wish I’d ordered a half size down. Hoping I can still make them work with thicker socks or an insert, since I cannot likely send them back now.

Very cute, feel well made, and enough cushioning that it felt like they'd be nice to walk in. Too narrow for me though so had to return.

I was excited to try these boots but ended up returning them. They're beautiful, and clearly very sturdy and made from quality materials. However, the toe box was very very narrow for me. Considering I would want to wear thick socks through the winter, it was a no-brainer to return them as much as I like the look.

These are really stylish & comfortable ankle boots. The stretchy sides means I can slip them on without the need for a zipper, yet they are tight enough to fit my narrow, slim feet and have good support. They are a bit heavier than expected but I'm taking this to mean they are quite sturdy, really waterproof, and will last long.

These are beautiful boots but the moment I tried them on I knew they were going back-- the toe box is way too narrow. Bummer.

I like these boots. They fit comfortably with thick socks in my usual size. The only thing I didn’t love was the gray suede upper color in contrast with the tan/ kind of orange sole. That being said, comfort won and I kept them.

Great construction and fit, I have a high instep and it just was too tight.

Ordered both a 6.5 and a 7 in this boot. 6.5 too tight and the 7 slipped in the heels. Because this boot does not have a removable insole I was not able to adjust fit of the boot and had to return both. Nice looking and seemed comfortable given the problems I encountered.

These shoes are beautiful but they are much too narrow for my feet. I wish they made them in a wide width! The brown leather is so pretty and they look well-made.

If I had looked at the size chart first instead of ordering my usual size, I would have saved myself a trip to UPS. I feel these run about a 1/2 size too large. The booties have a non-removeable insole which is oddly padded and sometimes feels a bit uncomfortable. The area around the top seam seems a bit snug even though I don't have wide feet. I think these issues will resolve after I've worn them more. However, the booties seem well made and I love the textured leather. They also look great with jeans. Easy to get on and off, but the opening is not overly large.

Cute style. It just seemed too long but narrow for a 8m. Felt a little bit stiff, maybe would have softened up after a wear or two. Seemed well made. Looked nice.

I ordered two pairs both in a size 10, just different colors. The black was a full size too small. The brown were perfect.

The leather is really good quality and I wanted shoes for frozen parking lots. Unfortunately the ankle support was too wide making walking in slick places a hazard. Most shoes seem to be made for big club shaped feet. Back to tie shoes!

I have quite narrow feet - I barely make the first mark on a foot/shoe measuring tool. These boots were so snug in the width that I have blisters starting after only wearing the shoes around the house briefly. Even though the width is so narrow, the heel was a bit loose. They seem very nicely constructed, but much too snug in the width. I was hoping to be able to wear these for walking in the rain in Italy, but I know my feet would be screaming within an hour or two. Even now, I've had the shoes off my feet for an hour, and the side of my one foot is sore.

This black steer leather is very stiff and uncomfortable, particularly since it hit's ankle length and with a stiff leather that grates against the skin. It was also too tight in an 8.5 so I returned it. Maybe in some other leather type (suede for instance) it would be more comfortable.

I'm disappointed with Sofft. Guess I'm done with their boots. The length was a true 10, but they lowered the toe box so my foot was not comfortable. And they did not cover the heel with protective cover - just raw wood, unlike previous 2 pair of Sofft boots. They removed a 1/4 - 1/2 of padding in the insole and didn't stitch around leather at sole, just glue. So sad that we must pay more than $100 to get a "decent" pair of little boots.

I liked the look of these but the fit was off. I usually wear an 8.5 or 9, depending on the brand. I ordered a 9 and they were too long and the left boot made a "whoosh" noise when I walked. The arch support was just ok but that could've been because they didn't fit quite right. I returned them for similar style from a different brand.

I purchased for an overseas trip where I'll be walking long distances. I'm returning these boots because they are too tight over the top of my foot. I couldn't even get them on with a pair of socks.

My feet: flat, narrow heel, very low instep (low volume), skinny ankles. Pretty much duck feet. My feet were swimming in these especially my ankles. I also find this style a bit too masculine.

These shoes are very attractive and seem well-made but they were very difficult to get on because the ankle doesn't have much give. They were very snug on with thin trouser socks - I hesitate to try them up a size because I think they'll still be just as difficult to get into. I have fairly average feet but high arches and hadn't tried this style of shoe before (narrow ankle bootie without a zip).

I have wide feet and these are just too narrow. I love the look of the leather and that they are waterproof, but the fit is a no-go for me.

I own several pairs of Sofft ankle boots. This pair is very stylish and the leather feels like good quality, but these are more narrow and stiff than my other pairs (whiskey leather). They would probably work well for someone with normal width feet, but for my wide feet they were too tight over the toes. I wish Sofft would bring back the Selby, which is a chelsea style boot with a wider toe box.
