I’ve been ordering Mizuno Wave Riders for 10 years. I love this new knit option! Best running shoe for anyone with higher arches !

I have been wearing Mizuno shoes for 5 years and find that they work the best for my narrow heel. This particular Wave Rider is the best I've found so far as they accommodates foot issues. This shoe is stable with good support, good cushioning and wider toe box than many other athletic shoes. There are no seams on the front of the shoe - thus no pressure issues. I have a neuroma that is not bothersome when I'm wearing these shoes. I can walk in comfort!

i have been looking for past few months, this is the best sneaker.i tried almost every brand , this is the only one that does not hurt my feet. pls make more colors, your choice of colors are so cheesy except for the black one. this shoe is simple but pretty.

The Waveknit R2s are great. I typically run in wave riders but thought I would give this one a try. This shoe is light and responsive. It felt a little small at first but the fabric is stretchy. I ordered my regular Mizuno size and didn't size up like some recommended for this shoe.

Immediately comfortable. The knit hugs the foot. I love this shoe! Thanks,

The Waveknit R2 is fantastic. I was running in the Wave Rider 21 before this and it is just as great. The toebox feels very comparable to the Wave Rider. Perfect amount of cushion. All around solid neutral shoe. My only recommendation would be to size up!

I first tried this shoe for work - I am on my feet all day - and loved them! As soon as I put these shoes on I could feel them forming to my feet. I then ran in them for a half marathon and I am so glad I upsized. I normally run in 7.5 but decided to try the 8. At first, while I was running the shoes felt tight, but thanks to the knit technology of the shoe they soon relaxed and reshaped to fit my foot. By the end of the race there was plenty of room for my feet as the shoes expanded just the right amount in every direction My feet felt secure and well-stabilized in this shoe.

I love these shoes for a number of reasons: they really mold to your feet in the best possible way. They are lightweight but supportive and they are so cute, I almost didn't want to run in them. I feel like they have gotten more comfortable with each wear, which is a fantastic feature of the shoe! Highly recommend!

These seem to run a little small. I love them, but unfortunately they have to go back!

The shoes are great for running but I forgot that Mizuno is always 1/2 size too small for me.

The cushioning on this shoe is great. I run on asphalt but I don't feel it in these shoes. I also like the knitted upper it allows your foot to breathe. The fit however is not as snug as I would like. I typically wear a size 10 but went up to size 11 which I typically do for sneakers and I'm glad I did. The 10 won't have fit.

I’ve been a Mizuno lover and have ran in various models of their shoes for long distance running for years now. Occasionally though, they’ve either updated/altered a model or discontinued it all together which has led me to have to switch it up. The only thing about this style is that it’s definitely short in length! It was equivalent to my old 8.5 pair, so I’d recommend sizing up half a size! I’ve never had to wear 9s in Mizunos before, but I suppose there’s a first for everything! Still love this brand though.

So cute! I love the powder pink color and the feel of these shoes, but they are at least a full size too small, so they're going back. Sadly, they don’t come in a women’s 13.

I overpronate to the point that I have a ruined ankle tendon and PTTD so I need serious ankle and arch support. These were very good on my feet, I still have some shin pain as I have never found the "perfect" shoe for my foot issues, and being overweight doesn't help. But I always come back to Mizuno after trying on other brands in stores. I had to have these as I love the red/white/blue and opposite colors on the shoes! They are pretty good to me since I added my custom orthotic inserts. A little shin soreness but overall, these are among the best shoes I've jogged in on my flat feet!

Feels super comfy but my toes are hitting the end of the shoe, runs pretty small IMO. I will try a half size up. The sole is cushy with good support and the material breathes.

These run small. I am normally a size 8 but need an 8.5 specifically in running shoes. The Nikes, Brooks, and Sauconys all fit relatively well in a size 8.5 (with differences in width of toe box, amount of cushion, etc.) In comparison, the size 8.5 in these was quite tight. I'm going to try again in a size 9...I couldn't even assess whether I liked the shoe or not because of how poorly it fit. Definitely size up!

Tried this shoe in a different color at my local running store in my usual running shoe size, but it was clear I needed to size up a half size from that. Shoe was not available locally, so Zappos to the rescue! Delivered next day and exactly as advertised! The knit fits beautifully with a nice roomy toebox.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks!

Very nice Mizuno shoe! Great cushioning and lightweight. The knit upper is not as soft as I imagined, but it's a great shoe!

For a running shoe I found it a bit heavy, and my heel tended to slip on the collar but for walking, it’s super comfortable! I prefer a bit more arch support as well, but I have very high arches.

I love the fit of the Mizuno shoes, even though I do need to order half a size up, but the sole of the wave rider 22 knit model just was a little too flimsy and not enough cushion or support. It flexed too much AND I felt too much of the hardness of the ground underneath.

Putting these on felt like putting on a pair of comfy socks...and it felt easy to adjust for my preferred tightness. However, because it is was sock-like, I did not feel supported above a walking pace. Also there was some help slippage. Very comfy, just not supportive running shoes, which is what I was in the market for.
