Absolutely loved these boots. Stylish, comfortable, perfect in every way. EXCEPT -- they ate my socks. As others have complained, these boots lightly grab on to socks and pull them down a little bit with each step. Gutted to have to return them, but these were unwearable.

I wanted to like these so badly, but they eat socks! Impossible not to have socks slide down as you walk, and I tried multiple types of socks and two different sizes. I do have high insteps, perhaps that was it?

The problem with the socks turns out to be a big problem. Every six blocks that you walk your socks get pulled down past your heels; then you stop and pull them up and the whole thing starts over again.

Quite comfortable. Liked how they looked. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find a pair of socks that they don’t “chew” down my foot. The socks end up bunched under my arch. It renders the boots pretty unusable.

The boots are comfortable and cute, but came out of the box looking warn and beaten up. Several deep scratches, worn patches on sides and heals, cuts and stains. Look as if someone wore them for a few months and returned. They shouldn’t have passed quality check. If this is what they look like straight out of the box I can’t imagine how quickly they’d be destroyed when wearing.

Smaller and tighter than my size 9 which i have worn forever . Diappointing .

I love these boots they fit perfectly and are super comfortable. Problem, my sock slides all they way to they front after walking around for a short period of time. It is not my socks, I tried these boots before and had same exact problem.

I love the boots, but Size 11 was Too big and Size 10 was too short. I don't believe Born makes these boots in size 10.5, if so please advise. Thanks. Susan

Comfortable right out of the box, and the lug sole provides good traction on New York’s icy/slushy streets.

I really love wearing these, and I’m grateful to find a trendy shoe with some traction.

I am very happy with these boots. They are comfy and stylish. They can be dressed up or down. They were a replacement for a pair of Blundstones which I never did come to like or find comfortable. Also, they are also much easier to get on that the Blundstones.

I own a couple pairs of Born boots and each one I love. These ones hug my feet nicely (I have wide feet) without hurting. By the second day wearing these they were already pretty much broke in.

I ordered these to replace an old pair I had. I ordered the 7.5 as Zappos recommended, but they were too big. That said the leather was beautiful and the boot is well made. Unfortunately, because of the size, I had to return them.

Really liked the boot, color was nice and worked with variety of pants.

It is my go to boot.

Very well-made shoe. Buttery soft leather. My feet run narrow-ish, and size/width was perfect for me, even with an orthotic insert. I'd say the width will be OK for average-width feet, but not wide.

Daughter shopping for boots on an afternoon wearing typical socks. She liked the style of this black boot, as well as the rugged tread and water reisistance, and they fit well right out of the box! Easy enough to pull on, too. She is a typical 8.5 medium but sometimes her heels need less space and her arch more support. We ordered 5 pairs for her to try and these Born Cove boots were the clear winner!

Average amount of comfort for a boot. Not overly comfortable but not bad either. Good width, I have slightly wide feet and these felt fine and they are pretty light weight.

I think it's a great looking boot. It was just to wide for my foot .

Fabulous all around, but a sock eater. Super disappointed to have to return.

I bought these Chelsea boots because they were all black and waterproof while stylish and had good reviews. I bought them to wear in Paris, presuming it would rain in Feb/March. Oddly, there was no rain. Anyhow, I ordered the boots in a half size up so I could fit some Dr. Scholl's inserts into them just in case my feet would be too sad & sore otherwise. They fit like a charm. I even wore them on the 10-hour flight with compression socks to keep swelling at bay. They helped!! I love these boots. They looked great on me... I wore them with black tights, a knee-length skirt, a black sweater, and a black leather moto jacket. The outfit was adorable and Paris appropriate. They felt good. My feet felt GREAT! I have had surgery on my right foot 2x because of plantar facilities issues, and I was worried about how I'd do on this trip. Between these boots a d my Ryka shoes, my feet were pain-free, although so very tired. Paris will do that. #noregrets
