Please note that no backpack that I could find on the current market had all the attributes I was looking for. I recently became a NYC bus & subway commuter. I reached down for my backpack one morning on the bus and nearly ripped the handle off my bag due to the weight. I needed a new bag. Attributes I liked about this bag : heavy duty reinforced handle, the farthest rear zipper opens a compartment that can hold a "TSA Checkpoint Friendly" a 15.6’ laptop as well as a 10.1” tablet & a pocket for your earbuds, 2 compartments for say a bottle of water & a small umbrella, padded straps, air mesh back padding for air flow, over the wheeled luggage handle strap so this bag would stay put walking around an airport “smart sleeve”, the bag base does not collapse when on the floor or table (you might like a collapsible, squishable base but I liked the fact it stayed wide so I could pack it easier when empty)(don’t get me wrong, it will squish but when just sitting alone, it sits with 7” of depth), great zippers, what feels like waterproof or water resistant material, what looks like stain resistant material, material that won’t show the dirt of commuting, fleece lined eyeglasses pouch, the interior color is light grey so it helps to find things within the bag & reinforced bottom of bag (material is thicker here). Samsonite makes quality products so I know this bag would last. The tag says it has passed a ‘drop test’ so you would have to look up those Samsonite standards but what it meant to me was that the gear inside was protected well. The craftsmanship on this bag is fantastic. I had been carrying two bags each day for my commute and I wanted one bag. This bag did nicely contain everything but I did not keep it as I found other backpacks at Zappos that better suited my needs. What detracted my purchase of this bag specifically (this criteria may not pertain to you) : I did not like the dedicated laptop pouch area. I do not always come home with my laptop & felt that I was losing space in the bag that could be better utilized for my gym clothes & sneakers. I will not be flying anywhere for this job so the TSA attribute is useless to me. If this bag had a bicycle helmet clip, a hard case for the eyeglasses, RFID blocker material somewhere on the bag, an insulated cooler area for my breakfast & lunch, a daisy chain, and funky color possibilities so that it would stand out from everyone else’s black backpack in NYC, I would have kept it. What I usually put in my daily backpack is my breakfast, lunch & ice pack, 15” laptop (sometimes), sneakers, smelly & wet used exercise clothes, shower items for post-exercise, hairdryer (some days), bottle of water, phone charger & wires, umbrella, baseball hat, sweatshirt or jacket, bicycle helmet for CitiBike useage, any work samples I may receive that day. If you do not have all these items in your daily commute, this bag may be perfect for you.

I'm a commercial pilot and I can carry all my essentials for work on domestic and international routes.

I use this mostly for business. Fits my computer,files, books,ect. I used to use a briefcase. Never again. I also take this on trips.

I had one previously that was much bigger than this one and had it replaced a couple of times since the zippers broke twice. You don't sell it anymore and it just had more room than this one.

Purchased this backpack for my husband who is a long distance commuter. It is sturdy, roomy, good for both personal and business travel (will fit a change of clothes for overnight trip), easy to organize, presentable. Excellent value for money!

Good capacity, good for short strip travel

Love my new Samsonite backpack! I needed a great backpack for traveling abroad, and this sleek, black backpack with lots of space offers me large capacity, comfort, and security! It complements my Samsonite black rolling suitcase! Bon Voyage!
