Bought these a few years ago, have used them non-stop this Pittsburgh winter! Great for keeping your pants dry while doing anything, shoveling snow, walking, driving. They are light and much better combined with hiking boots than bulky winter boots. Just bought a pair for my husband for Valentine's Day!

Have been wearing these since the mid-90s. Recently bought a new pair to have a spare in the car. These gaiters, plus hiking boots and Smartwool snowboard socks, kept my lower legs and feet toasty and perfectly dry throughout our December 19 blizzard which dropped 20" of snow that lasted for a week. These gaiters did the job through hours upon hours of dog walking through snow drifts and untouched fields of snow -- walking and kneeling to take photos. I will never be without these gaiters.

I used these gaiters for the first time on a recent snowshoeing trip. They performed wonderfully! They kept snow and gunk out of my boots and off the back of my legs (a common problem for me in the past) so I could enjoy my snowshoeing trip. High quality, great fit-- even fit over the several layers of long underwear and pants I had on. Absolutely worth the price.

Works as expected. Runs a little small on larger snow boots given the size chart.

Sz small is too short, will be returning for a larger size. Quality seems excellent

The Crocodile gaiter is really burly. I also have the Verglas gaiter, and feel confident in the Crocodile for extremely wet, or deep snow conditions. The denier will withstand any debris/crampons that could tear other material. My only complaint is that the buckle clasp to cinch the top of the gaiter bunches and limits how tight they can get. When one hikes in tights or has slender calves, these do not fit as well as I like. I ordered them online, and the fit guide is based only on the shoe size and I would suggest that OR list a circumference measurement range at the top to help with fit.

Great standard gaiters, feels like they will last me for a long time. I've just taken them out a couple times, but they perform perfectly so far.

I've used the cheapest gaiters I could find for 15 years, and finally decided to spring for the nice ones after my last ones were especially poorly designed... I love these - the durable strap under the foot, the thick velcro, the style of strap at the top... my only complaint is that I wish they were a tad longer, as for them to sit snug around my foot (to keep snow out) the top doesn't come quite to the top of my calf, so it feels a little awkward. Maybe I have extra long calves (or am just too tall - I'm 5'10"), or maybe I should have looked at buying the men's version.

I use these for hiking and ice climbing. They are super durable and keep everything out of my boots.

I wish these were adjustible in width (diameter?) so that they can fit more snugly around the calf (like my half-chaps for riding horses). If they were, we could buy them by calf-height. These gaiters were the right height for me, but someone taller or shorter than I am with the same shoe size would have problems. They are adjustible at the top of the calf, which kept them up. However, they are a bit loose around the calf & ankle. And they fit correctly over the shoe, where they are not adjustible. I was on the borderline between M & L & chose to get M. I got to test them walking in some loose snow to see if they kept the snow out - they did. But I have not yet worn them snowshoeing, which is what I bought them for.

These gaitors are great. I have worn them in snow, mud and rainy trail conditions and my boots stayed dry and warm. Would have given a 5 star rating but the only drawback is the lace hook on the front does not stay on the laces. Fortunately the construction is such that they still stay put keeping my boots covered.

I have attempted to use these gaiters in the snow (mostly XC skiing) and sometimes for hiking. As a small woman, I cannot get the top tight enough with the cinch strap to stay up. The pressure-close buckle is trying to take in too much fabric and won't stay closed, or, if I can get it closed, its too loose to keep the gaiters up. The part that wraps the boot is no-where small enough to create a compact fit, or be able to use the smart hooks for clipping to the lower laces. I do have thin legs, but I'm not a teeny tiny person, 5'4", 110. I have this issue with other OR products that just aren't small enough, as well.

I have a pair of older LL Bean brand gaiters that I absolutely love. They are starting to be on their last legs though, so I decided to replace them with these. I do not like these nearly as much as my old LL Bean ones. The fabric is very stiff, the top/bottom aren't nearly as adjustable. The old ones I have just had a cord that went around your shoe at the bottom, these have a stiff piece of plastic. The belt loop to tuck the plastic loop into is also very cheaply made - nothing like the rest of the gaiter. I ended up sending these back, and will keep hunting for gaiters like LL Beans old ones.

The construction of these are sturdy but I thought that they were a little bulky and stiff. I like that they were Goretex and the velcro over the zipper was pretty sticky. They were not as easy to get off and on as what I have been using the past few years. I also was afraid that snow would push up into them between the lower edges and my boots since the bottom edge isn't fitted thus why I returned them.

The gaiters were expensive but I was going to wear them for winter hiking. When I tried them on it wasn't easy to get them in place & adjust all the doodads. In cold weather you want something easy on & easy off. They look sturdy but I would have been frustrated getting them on.
