Feel like I've won the lottery! I found an comfortable, stylish waterproof bootie! I have been on a quest for years. I've bought several brands from Clarks to Rieker to La Canadienne (whose boots I do love.) But I hadn't found the ultra comfy, trek all day in city or countryside, wear with jeans or casual pants or my "dressy" Kuhl Mova "sweats" , or wear with sleek leggings and a nice long cashmere sweater, or, even wear with skirts (I don't wear them much in winter but these boots would work.) So versatile; leather is lovely-slightly pebbled. Love that you can tighten the strap, so boot isn't "gappy" around the leg; it's also a nice, Nordic-ish style feature that is subtle and timeless. I'm a 7.5 in shoes, an 8 in running or hiking shoes. I ordered 38 and 39, and have been testing them out all day. I'm keeping the 38's. They work with the thin Smartwool socks, or a thin sport sock. The 39's would maybe work with the very thick Smartwools (like the snowflake design ones I have), but they still felt a bit loose (comfy, but maybe not great for lots of walking-foot moved within shoe a tiny bit too much.) Hope that helps on sizing. I have a narrow heel and these worked for me, but bigger heeled folks may want to size up. Also, my foot is quite wide in front , bony, with a high arch. These worked and bunions and typical little toe pressure points do not hurt. The leather is very soft, nothing hurts where it hits front of shin, etc. I have very, very difficult feet (arthritis from cancer drugs, neuropathy, bony feet, high arch, small bunions) and these work. Try these and see!

Beautiful boot. Second ECCO I have tried recently that is too narrow. I've been wearing the brand for years and the narrow width surprised me. No room for socks and no space to be comfortable in cold weather. If you have a narrow foot and normally wear a narrow shoe it will be perfect for you!

Ecco has been my favorite brand and these boots are the best yet. I have looked for the right boot for 3 years. These were more expensive than I wanted to pay, but if you find the right boot, you just have to forget the price. The fit is toward those with a narrow foot. The heel is snug and and yet the toe has comfort room. Beautiful leather keeps feet warm and yet breathes with the weather of the day. As with all Eccos, I have found it takes a little bit of wearing, as your feet “mold” into the insert. Having said that, they fit very comfortably right out of the box. These look great with everything and I Love them!

I wore these walking abt 10 miles a day around London and Paris, and they were awesome. Kept my feet dry and were more comfortable than the Nike’s I brought. HIGHLY recommend!!!

Always a perfect fit with Ecco! Not only are these boots extremely comfortable and water resistant, but they are also stylish enough for every day use or to dress up a little.

If you have wide calves or plan on tucking your pant let into the shoe, avoid this shoe. I'm an active person, so I have muscular calves: I couldn't zip the boot past my ankles. I was wearing leggings, and even that material was too much for the boot. The pair I received must also be defective because the left boot had a large bump/bubble in the arch, where there was a significant drop between the front of the shoe and the arch. At first, I thought it was the insole that was not put in correctly, but no, it was the shoe. Pity. I have Ecco's cute booties that fit great. I do NOT recommend these shoes.

I love these shoes. They are the perfect, dressy-enough winter and walking boot. I wore them all weekend and into the week for a trip and they were great. The comfort is unparalleled in a boot this chic. They are very lightweight, have just the right amount of support and the water-proof aspect came in handy as well. I have bad knees and typically experience knee pain but didn't in these - the foundation of the boot was solid and the padding underfoot sufficient. These are going to be my go-to boot this winter for anything business casual. I also live somewhere quit snowy and these did fine in the snow we've experienced so far: no obvious slipping on ice with the rubber sole and my feet stayed warm while it was freezing out.

Adore these and they work with my arch inserts, so no problem that they did not have arch support on their own. So comfortable--and waterproof. And totally stylish and mod, I think. Nice snug fit around the ankle, which is almost never the case for me in ankle boots. Heel is just high enough to be feminine and stylish without impeding comfort or stability in the least--in fact a little heel like this is even more comfortable than a completely flat shoe. Love.

Just returned from London where I walked 50 miles in 6 days in these boots. So comfortable! I packed light so this was it for foot gear: Leggings, dresses, jeans, wool pants, you name it they all looked fantastic with this boot. Kept my feet warm and dry!

I’m not sure how I missed it in the description, but these are more like winter boots than just every day boots. I will be returning them but might regret that next winter when they would be good to have. Lined with wool and waterproof.

Super comfortable shoe, but looks like a rain or snow boot - a bit hard to wear as a dress show.

I love these boots! super comfortable and they look good. Will be using them on a trip where there will be a lot of walking and I did not want to use sneakers.

Lovely soft, light boot. I don't usually buy 2 of the same style boot but was inspired to buy a 2nd pair in the other color, brown when it went on sale. It's great to be able to pull out the insole to put in my orthotic. The narrower adjustable ankle shaft makes the boot have a nice sleek (not clunky) look. I have thin legs so these work great for me with leggings or a skirt.

I needed weather-ready boots that looked nice enough to keep on all day at the office, and these fit the bill. The style is streamlined and current, and the fit is snug and comfortable. I wear them with ultra light Smartwool socks and they’re warm for commuting on wet and wintery Chicago days.

A definite HIGH 5!!! Purchased these boots before a work trip to NYC. They arrived the day before my trip and I wore them for 4 consecutive days of 17+ hours on my feet. So very comfortable with zero break in time. Very warm during the coldest week in NYC paired with my Smart Wool socks. Received lots of compliments on them as they do not look like clunky outside boots. Fashionable and comfortable!! A perfect combo!

Making a trip to Denver to the National Stock Show and needed a pair of comfortable, smart looking boots to get me through. I would have preferred this boot in black, but not available, so settled on the brown. It feels and fits perfect. I have major foot problems and its a struggle to find comfortable shoes. The sole is fabulous and a nice comfortable arch. I will send another review after I wear them for 3 days!

I walked over 10 miles per day for 3 days in NYC and my feet never hurt. I usually wear a 7 1/2 or 8 and the 8 fit fine with both regular and Smartwool socks.

These just arrived yesterday and I love them! I wore them all day, they didn't need breaking in. So comfortable and great for the snowy, wet weather outside.I normally wear 5 1/2, and I worried this size might be tight but 36 (5-5 1/2) was perfect in this ankle boot. Ecco is always great quality in my experience. Very happy with this purchase!!!

This is the very best pair of boots I have even put on my feet! Love them. Fit is excellent, comfort is exceptional, waterproof and style enhances your look. I could wear these all day and not know they were on my feet. Not clumsy or heavy like other winter boots. There is more than normal arch support feature that some with a flatter foot might not like but works extremely well for me. Highly recommend.

This Ecco requires a little struggle to enter the boot with one zipper but it is a lovely trim fitting boot once on your foot. The lining is part wool and the leather is soft and beautiful. After walking in the boot for ten minutes ,it begins to feel tight over the top of instep which will only become more uncomfortable with time. My usual size is 7 1/2 and the European 38 is not a match for me. The bottom of the boot feels lightly padded even indoors on the hardwood floor, I believe I can feel the egg crate structure, thicker rubber is needed for comfort.

Beautiful boots! They are modern, sleek and quiet. I sized up since I have a wide foot and I am happy with the fit. I do wear thin wool socks.

I finally found the PERFECT boot! I was so happy with my grey pair that I ordered the black, as well. These boots are stylish and warm. They look amazing in person. The pebbled look is pretty in the sun. The MAIN thing though, is that they are SO comfortable. I was in a very bad accident five years ago and have spent a lot of time looking for a boot that was comfy with ankle support. These fit the bill. They are feminine and look retro and modern at the same time. Love love love.

These fit like a glove-excellent arch support and very comfortable. They are a little more than a shoe, but not a winter boot. Perfect for that in-between type weather. If you have to walk much much in cooler temps or sit outdoors at a sports event, they’re perfect. The strap around the ankle is functional to adjust the fit as well as fashionable with skinny jeans.

OMG these are so comfy & cute! And they are super warm too. Love them!
