The fit and size worked well for Faith's new Afos. They fit a little snug on the top of her new Afos (these afos are much thicker then others we have gotten) but after lossening up the shoe strings they worked great. Maybe the shoestrings could be a little longer but that's our only complaint. And she loves the colors!

My daughter has worn AFO supports for 20 years and this is the first shoe that truly answers the questions of fit, comfort, stability and ease of use. It's truer to her actual foot size than she's ever been able to use due to the bulkiness of the AfO's. With the high top design I was able to discontinue the use of the support straps by tightening the shoe strings snug while the shoe was on her feet with the supports. My compliments to the designer of this shoe, and my compliments to Zappo's for making the purchase easy. Due to some confusion with reading the fit chart I ordered a size smaller than the one we eventually found to fit right. Zappo's responded quickly when I called them about the need to return and had the new shoes on the way before I even had the smaller first pair in the box and tagged for return. It all happened very quickly. Thank you, Zappo's!

My daughter has a disability. It's very difficult to find shoes that she can use without pain and discomfort. These are very easy to put on her feet and what's even great is she feels pretty cool wearing them. She asked for a 2nd pair within 2 days of getting her 1st pair for use with her AFOs. The 2nd pair is for every day use without her Orthotics. She feels like a regular person in these. That's hugh given all the equipment she needs to use daily. Thanks for making my little girl (not so little, she's in grade 9) feel comfortable and excited about shoes!

These shoes are simply fantastic! Our 7 1/2 year old daughter wears orthotics and the full zip top on the BILLY shoes makes for the easiest on/off we've experienced. Plus, the style is fashionable. We were so pleased with the high-tops that we bought the low version that looks similar to Vans. Highly recommend these shoes for anyone who wears orthotics.

I got these for my daughter who wears ankle orthotics. I had to try a few pairs first, but found going up in size even more helped. Without orthotics she wears a 1 so with orthotics normally she would jump to a 3 but with Billy's she had to jump to a 4. They are perfect. Hope this helps anyone looking to do the same, maybe it will save you a few returns.

Simply amazing! These have made getting my 5 year old dresses so much easier & she can unzip them herself which really helps with her independence. No more trial & error hoping a shoe will fit over her AFOs.

We bought these in October 2018 and it is now March 2019. Our daughter has AFOs so it has been very hard to find shoes that she can put on and take off on her own. When I found these I had to jump on them. We have a high top pair and the lower ones. She switches back and forth and loves them. We are about to get new ones only because she is getting new braces and will need the next size bigger. Thank you Billy Footwear!

I bought these for my daughter who wears AFO’s. As with all shoes the insoles must be taken out. Once this was done the shoes zipped up beautifully. She has more support and the length is perfect for once when dealing with shoes shopping and AFO’s. I will definite be buying more of these! Finally a great looking shoes for our kids!!

We bought this for my son that wears orthotics. Knowing that they aren’t designed specificly for orthotics we wanted to try because the independence the zipper would provide. They do seem to run wider than a typical athletic style kids shoe with lots of room to adjust with the laces. The extra wide width of the orthotics with the edges rubbing on the seams would be a lot to ask of any shoe. My son just didn’t have the dexterity to manipulate the zipper with the extra pressure of the crazy wide orthotics. I wish we’d have found these earlier since earlier versions of his orthotics weren’t quite this wide and I think would have fit just perfect.

2nd pair and holding up great. My daughter loves being independent. We bought the second pair so that she could choose which pair she wanted to wear and not be confined to one pair every day.

My daughter loves these. She wears a size 2 but has to size to a 5 to fit her afo braces. She likes the turquoise high tops but we’ve bought more after the first pair.
