The boot was ok, but nothing special so I returned it. The leather was not as soft as I would like, and it felt kind of fake. They definitely run 1/2 size large, so size down a bit.

Coloration doesn't match picture:
-ordered chocolate, it's much darker than shown
Height:
-too short, they hit in the middle of my calf
-I'm 5'8" for reference
-I expected them the hit right below my knee
Clunky:
-boot is very well made but they're stiff
-I'd expect this to get better with wear so no issue on this point

I am very disappointed with these boots.
I did a ton of research because I wanted boots that would protect me from the cold and rain as I’m out and about in unpredictable weather for work (not manual labor, just a lot of running around!). I also decided to take a chance on the calf width and I was overjoyed when my wide calves were able to fit the 14” opening because of the stretchy, yet substantial, back material.
The leather seems to be full grain as promised though I did notice the finish started to show some wear after just a day.
The comfort and support - there’s none at all. The shoe is a flat box to store your foot. No room for an insert either.
After a day of walking you will really want these off your feet! They take a little while to break in, they have no support, and minimal style to make up for it.
I would return these but I have already worn them outside and I can’t send them back in good conscience.

Really happy with these boots. They fit well, are comfy, I can go a whole day on my feet in them and they can bridge wearing with a dress or for more mucky chores.

I bought these a few weeks ago and have worn them nearly every day. They go with everything and I've tested them out to be waterproof but don't want to wear them in mud as they're too nice, but I am sure they would stand up to it. I am usually a 6.5 but got the 6 as found the foot size came up larger. I have slim calves and find these fit to perfection with no gaps.

Arrived early well packaged. boots in excellent condition (as expected) good fit in the foot as my feet are quite narrow Perfect height, tight ankles my feet are not slopping about. They are a little wide around the calf but I do have very skinny legs. Went for a walk in them straight way- no need to break them in. Perfect would buy again. Just hope they last a few years

I bought these to replace a pair of gore-tex boots. Honestly, I'd never heard of Ariat before. Not even sure how I found these boots but they're exactly what I needed. Waterproof, comfortable and look great! They needed a tiny bit of wearing in at first but after that, absolutely no problems. They stand on their own so I don't need to use boot stands, easy to clean and excellent material. Highly recommend if you're also looking for comfort, looks and full waterproofing

Just bought these boots, slightly anxiously as I have a permanently slightly swollen ankle but I thought I'd risk it as they have the two strips of elastic at the back which go right down to the ankle area. I'm so glad I did as the boots can cope with my ankle and they're very comfortable as well as good looking. I live in the country so waterproof is essential as is the good grip on the sole - but I still didn't want to give up on the good looks. One happy customer!

Got these as a gift from my husband and I LOVE them! I have never been able to find a pair of tall boots that fit comfortably and snugly on my thick calves... until now! The elastic back is the perfect amount of stretch. Fits snugly around my calf, even at the top, but not a struggle to get zipped, even over thick leggings and jeans! I have bad arches and weak ankles and usually have to wear custom orthotics (or suffer from foot pain later). Oddly not with these - the ankle support is so strong that my feet don't fall inward. I can walk and work a long time in these. I got these for working in the yard and garden. They are great for this kind of work because they are waterproof and won't let any flying dirt fall in. As a bonus, they look fabulous and I can see wearing these to run errands too.

I've been looking for a pair of tall casual boots for a long time. Then I stumbled upon these. I am so happy with them! I wear a size 6 slim in my (riding) tall boots and I ordered a size 6 and they were a perfect fit. I've worn them both to work and the barn. They clean up very well and have broken in easily. Highly recommend!

I ordered these for my daughter for Christmas. We are the same size so I tried them on before wrapping. I love them - comfortable right out of the box! I am usually between an 8 to 8 1/2. I ordered the 8 and have plenty of room. They have a larger toe box so would work for a wider foot. I have small calves and they fit well but they stretch so could also see how they would accommodate larger. If she doesn’t like them, I will happily keep for myself! :)

These boots are lovely. Quite stiff at first but loosen off quickly and are really comfy. I have quite a slim calf and they fit great. Would recommend going down half a size

Love these boots. Every time I ware them I get compliments. Keeps my feet dry here in the Pacific Northwest. They fit a little large, 9.5 usually, but the boots do not come in half sizes. So I chose a size 10, that way I can ware thick socks and be comfortable.
