No good for running. Feel like large Ronald McDonald clown shoes

I've been wearing Altras for some time and have loved them. I have owned (own) Superiors, Lone Peaks and TIMPs. I wanted a pair made for pavement that wouldn't wear out so fast like my trail runners do (6-8 months max). I bought the Provisions. And boy do they suck. Day 1, they are sized similarly to my other shoes. They traveled differently, but they were supposed to. By lunchtime on day 2 I could no longer ignore that they were rubbing a blister on my heel. I swapped the insoles from my TIMPs and this eliminated the heel rub. By day 3 my right knee felt weird and my back started to hurt. My big toes became swollen although they weren't rubbing the shoe. I kept feeling the need to stretch my back and legs. I noticed that my footfalls were strange and that the shoe was rolling my feet to the outside. I went home and put on my TIMP's and it was like waking up from a bad dream. Everything felt right again. I don't know if Altra makes a kinder road show that has that TIMP feel. In the meantime I'll spend the extra 10 on another pair of the tried and true and just blow them out in comfort.
