Ran smaller and narrower than other Clark shoes I've tried (many), with no arch support to speak of. Wide is not very wide. Decent enough quality if they'd fit, but not good for the wide-footed ladies or those with high arches.

Love this shoe! Looks nice, a classic style without being too old-ladyish :) The suede feels super soft and the shoe is comfortable right out of the box. The medium width wasn't wide enough so I exchanged it for the wide and it is perfect. If you sometimes need a wide shoes, I would start with the wide. I also ordered it in the aubergine and gray as well, after trying it on. I already have the black patent, too.

I generally love Clarks and have so many variety of them in the closet, so I know they often fit different form to form. These are stylish and sharp. However I found the shoes to come up quite high and rub just under my ankle. They also felt a bit tight in the toes which MAY soften with wear. A half size bigger would have given the toes more space, but also been to high on my ankle to tolerate. Bummed. Wanted these awfully bad. Back they are going.

These are gorgeous shoes, and I regret having to send them back. But the 7 wide I ordered was too narrow for my feet.

I really wanted these shoes to fit. I ordered two sized to play it safe. Neither fit. Really tight across the instep. Bummer...

I wear a 10N consistently in Clark's shoes, but my toe hit the end of these shoes. The width was good, and they are soft. Unfortunately, they will be going back.

Given how thin the sole is, I am delighted and suprised by how comfortable and cushiony these are. I trek all day over a university campus and I love these.

After reading other reviews, ordered half size up, and it was definitely the right call as it fit perfectly. As for comfort, first wear gave me minor blisters on back of both heals, added cushion pad it fix the issue, other than that, felt great and the purple color was beautiful! Will be purchasing in other colors!

Really liked the way the shoe looked and fit, however, I need to wear orthotics and unfortunately the shoes became too tight when added - not enough height to add the supports.

These shoes are wonderful! I bought the black patent leather shoes. I put them on first thing in the morning and wore them all day. I teach school so I am on my feet most of the day. My feet felt great the whole day. I am looking at getting another pair. Now trying to decide on what corlor to get. ????

I had to order up a size. They run very short. I wear narrow and these fit well in width. It gets frustrating trying to find narrow shoes. I have almost given up. I love the classic style.

I ordered the tan. Very nice color. Looks like quality. A classic style that I will wear for a long time. Originally ordered a 10N. But could not wear with a thin sock. So, I ordered an 11N. A little long but at least I can wear a sock if I choose. Can always add an insole if they are too big without. So hard to find narrows!

Straight out of the box very comfortable- ordered size 6 Wide. Wore them first time today to work - no complaints, no rubbing or pinching. Very satisfied.

These were comfortable from the moment I put them on! They may be a bit larger than size indicated but stay on my feet comfortably. I bought my normal size.

Thanks for the prior comments on sizing. Originally, ordered my usual size of 8.5 B/med which turned out to be too wide. This 2nd pair is perfect at size 9A. Enough toe room & fitted at the heel.

I am on my feet eight to ten hours a day and these are my go-to work shoes. I actually own two pairs.

Great looking suede loafer with good fit for my 12 N foot. No heel slippage as with many other shoes. The aubergine color is very htf (brownish-purple). The outer sole and heel construction are hard, not soft sounding or cushioned feel while walking which may be a drawback for some buyers. A dressier loafer in styling but still seem substantially designed for long wear.

I bought these in Aubergine suede at a Clark's store earlier today on a clearance sale, and needed to wear them immediately. I walked for a few blocks, carrying a couple of heavy bags, then spent the evening on my feet at an event. Without socks or hose. I can honestly not remember a pair of shoes ever feeling so comfortable right out of the box. I came to Zappos to see about buying these in more colors. I am in love. They are very put together looking, and even graceful -- not stuffy or boxy or stiff or clumsy, as loafers can sometimes be. These can as easily go casual cool as business. I guess they have a moderate arch... not much of one, though. The back is solid enough to give support. I have a 3/4 orthotic, which fits in this very easily -- especially as the sole is removable. The Aubergine is a beautiful color: deep wine, with a bit of not-quite purple in the mix, but with a soft wash that I find really elegant. To my taste, I find the suede has a little more panache than the leather. My feet are 7.5 medium in measured size, though I nearly always find that an 8 better accommodates the shape of my foot (short-is toes mean the ball of my foot goes where it should in the shoe, even if the toe box is a little long). Here though, the 8 was too small and too narrow. 8.5 did the trick.

I love theses shoes! They are so comfortable! I definitely want to get them in another color!

These are a great shoe. I work on my feet in retail sales and these shoes lasted a lot longer than other loafers I have worn. Well made and comfortable shoe.

I ordered a 7W in the black leather. I normally wear a regular width, but I saw some reviews that indicated they were more narrow and I want to be able to wear thin socks with these shoes. The fit is perfect and they are very comfortable. I don't have much of a tolerance for heels but these don't look like frumpy flats so I'm happy with them.

I really liked this shoe. It was comfortable and stylish. Would like to get it in other colors!

Love these shoes. Wonderful fit for my narrow size nine. Bonus that there is a nice little inner padding in the heel. This shoe hugs my foot in all the right places. I walked a mile them today with plantar fasciitis with no pain. And got a cmpliment on my"Great shoes" from a young man along the way. These are the handsome gray suede which were worth waiting for. I was happy they were on sale as well. I Love suede and would be happy to see these shoes in a brown and black suede.

Beautiful shoes. I was tempted to keep them, but I found a similar pair (Clarks) at a much cheaper price returned these.
