I so wanted this shoe to work! But, the 8 1/2 M it was too tight. I ordered an 8 1/2 W. Still too tight. I'm thinking my feet do not like the loafer style, so I'll sadly move on to other styles.

The sizing seems way off on these shoes. Style was flattering and I loved the metallic color that seemed it would go with everything. The shoe felt a full size or more too short. Would have exchanged but not knowing whether I might need a 1/2 size or full size bigger decided not to hassle with it. I wear Clarks frequently and am typically an 8N with no problems. Darn!

I am returning these shoes because the suede was already rubbed when I received them. I imagine that in a couple of wearings the shoes would look old.

I wanted to love them but they came up really high on my ankles. I don't normally have that problem, but I knew right away they would cause blisters.

Unfortunately the material was too stiff and also hit my ankle on the side. Can’t Recommend. Had to send it back.

I really wanted to like these, I have been looking for a dressy loafer to wear with both slacks and casual pants. When I first tried these on the seemed okay but after walking on carpet for a couple of minutes they began to fell tight in the instep. I ordered medium but them seemed more narrow than other Clarks I have worn. Had to return.

very attractive shoe, but too narrow in toe box for me. I was hoping for a softer shoe..The heel was hard and clicked loud on floors, making it dressier than I wanted.

I need a wide shoe and even "W" was too narrow for me. Otherwise nice classic loafer.

Not at all the usual comfortable shoes I have come to expect from Clarks, so I returned. I think it is the somewhat pointed toe that is causing the discomfort. I tried 3 pairs to verify the fit before I gave up and returned them all. As usual, Zappos customer service is the best!

I tried three pairs of these Clarks loafers before giving up and realizing that these shoes just do not fit my feet. The sizing was not consistent across the three pair. I have several pairs of Clarks shoes and am usually a 7N in almost all shoes. The older Clarks shoes seem to me to be much more consistent in sizing, no matter the style of the shoe. I really tried to get these shoes to fit me, and I am grateful to Zappos for their amazing customer service!

Style was a little frumpy but not bad. They would have been comfortable except they came up high enough to dig into my ankle. I could barely walk a few feet in them.

These fit very narrow on me! And my feet aren't particularly wide -- more of a C than a D. Usually I wear a 8M or 7.5W in Clarks, got these in 7.5W. There was no chance of them fitting, so I'd size up. The gold is really pretty.

I am a Clarks fan and usually Clarks fit my wide foot well. These loafers are such a disappointment. Not only did they feel a half size short (dug into my heels) and my toes were jammed into the narrow toe box, they fit like a medium at best. Definitely not the shoe for a wide foot. Thanks to Zappos they are easy to return and I can continue my search for a basic loafer.

I was looking for a simple black flat. I bought these and also Juliet Lora, both in 8M b/c i wanted to compare and hopefully pick one. These were less flexible, fit too snug, rubbed on one ankle bone, and were not at all comfortable. Noteworthy is the fact they were almost twice the price of the Juliet, which i'm keeping b/c they are a much better fit, look nicer, and the bonus is the price was great.

I wish I had looked at the reviews before ordering these shoes. I order a 61/2, my regular size, medium width...when they arrived, they were too small...so I returned them and ordered a size 7. The 7 came, but they are also still too small. The price fell in between returning them and the re-order, so the good news is i did receive 1/2 of my purchase price...but I still have shoes that don't fit!

These shoes are stiff and uncomfortable - I fear too much breaking in needed and it's not worth the pain. Had to return.

Too pinchy! I liked the looks of these, but I typically wear a 7N in Clarks. I saw the reviews and ordered 7.5 M. Still too small, so they went back. Too bad!

Love the style, very classic! Generally, really like Clark's, but this are rather uncomfortable in addition to being narrow than typical. Returning as a didn't fit.

Beautiful shoe to look at, but the stiff patent leather is not comfortable. Took advice of others & ordered half a size up. Still too narrow in the toe box and heel. My feet are medium width; I never need to order narrow sizes. Alao, NO cushioning or arch support whatsoever!!! My $30 flats for the weekend are more comfortable than these Clarks. These hurt my feet even when sitting. Very disappointing. Will be returning.

Wow...could hardly get these shoes on. Fit a full size smaller and the narrowest shoe I've ever tried to cram my feet into. Sizing wayyy off.

I ordered 11W and I couldn’t get my foot into it way too small. I returned.

I could barely get these shoes on. I wear a 7 N and the other pair of Clarks 7 N shoes I ordered fit fine. These, however, were much too small and the toe area was painfully tight. Nice looking shoes but definitely not for my foot. Will be returning for a different style.
