The vest body for the most part is excellent. Warm, breathable and relitively durable. The Nuptse vest has been my primary working outerwear for over a decade in the frigid temps of south central Alaska. However, the new "Retro" line with stoeable hood is odd and laughable.. The rolled hood is thin and worthless in anything less than 40F. I much prefer the older style, with the full down filled coller. The nuptse vest world be infinitely better if it had 800+ fill down, two vertical chest pockets, high abrasion cordura shoulder protection and the option for a full coverage down hood

Vest fit was bigger than described. Had to return vest due to fit and could not find size large through TNF.

XL fits in the chest but too large for the belly. I'll get it tailored to fit instead of sending back because I really like the vest otherwise.

The exterior appearance is the same as the iconic version from the late 90's, however the fill level of down is not the same. I would estimate each compartment has roughly 60% of the down fill that the originals did. As someone that has an original one still I can confirm side by side the lack of down in each compartment is glaring. I was very excited to purchase this but have been disappointed by the choice northface made to use less down to save money. Not the same as it used to be, but still looks great.

Quality is solid, however the sizing seems a bit off. Standing 6'2 the vest is shorter than I would prefer.

It was definitely not as thick or fluffy as expected. Disappointed with the quality of the vest.

I have two other NF vests and really likes this one but if your tall - I'm 6'5" - it's not gonna work. Too bad as it was really nice. It seems all NF gear has shortened up now??? Too bad.

Too short in length

I've had multiple Nuptse 700 count vests. Go back to the 2015 models. This is too short and the horizontal inside zipper should be vertical. I have been active in outdoor winter sports in below zero temperatures for years. Your retro style is an ignorant mistake. I would be willing to purchase a Nuptse 2015 vest with a 900 feather count. North Face was designed for outdoors enthusiasts, not gym rats.

i have 8 NF jackets/vests, all size M, this vest (woodland camo color) is way too big in the waist area, makes for poor quality/fit.. disappointed/returned

Guys don't buy this on black friday they are not giving the same quality as usual i just got this and it's way cheaper in quality compared to the one i already have

Bot this item because I wanted to a simple black down vest with two-way front zippers. The black one is pictured with them and its the description says: "Exposed, VISLON, two-way center front zip". The first thing I checked upon receipt was the front zipper. It is the usual one-way zipper. This vest will be returned.

I bought this vest three weeks ago and the chest started to fray and fall apart. I reached out as they have a lifetime warranty and I was told that they can't replace it. Horrible customer service and they definitely don't live up to this "life time warranty" for such a high priced and supposed quality product. Really disappointed
