It's a super high quality winter weight - puffy vest. I bought a lighter one for everyday wear.

I own a Nuptse down vest which I purchased about 20 years ago. It has a softer nylon shell, although possibly that comes with age and multiple washings. The older one is also longer and has larger arm openings (which I like). The older one is a beautiful shade of red which is no longer available. The new vest is certainly warm. I like the older vest better.

I really like the 1996 Retro Numptse vest , I just wish it was a little longer and had a drop tail ,I like that it can turn into a pouch if it get too warm and I have to take it off .I use it mostly in the city I'm from New York city. When I'm out shopping and go into malls or different stores sometimes it's warm and I have to take it off .I think it's real stylish and cool looking for the young and the older generation make or female.

Cold weather vest keeps you warm when coat isn't needed. Need more colors! Cannot go wrong if you need a winter vest!

I love the warmth this vest offers. 700 fill power is in the higher quality tier of down. This also makes it lightweight and compressible. My only gripe is what a lot of other people have stated about both the Nuptse vest and jacket. It's a little short. Why hasn't TNF addressed this yet? It's been years people have been complaining about the length of these. It needs to be like an inch longer, especially in the jacket. I imagine it's quite uncomfortable when cold air sneaks in underneath. It's doesn't bother me too much with the vest though because I usually layer with a hoodie.

Love the quality and style, but very short and too bulky around the stomach area for me.

Is very warm and looks awesome, but not for extreme cold i wear a tank top t-shirt sweatshirt then my north face Nuptse Vest and im still cold if its under 35F degrees but anything over 40F is perfect!
