First day skiing the crotch split! Come on Northface! What good are all the bells and whistles if you're seams don't hold? And you don't have anymore XL in this color.

This is a decent bib, but the cut is a slim fit. When I ski, drive, or bend over I feel the fabric stretch tight on parts of my body, e.g. my gluteus maximus. I was expecting a looser fit, like other brands of snow pants (Saga, Planks, etc.). Buy a size or two up if you want a styled fit!

Excellent design and well thought out
I am 5 11 240 and these for great. I don't have a pot belly. Other brands I tried did not fit me. They were too narrow at the top.

The insulation is minimal from the waist to the mid calf, but after the mid calf there is no insulation. The description does not share whether this is insulated.

I'm a snowmobile guide in Whistler BC, I've been using TNF gear for years now and these are the worst snowpants they've ever made. They lasted me 3 weeks until the crotch ripped, I even got a size up from my normal medium as this years models fit smaller that last years. I always go try on new models before I buy.
The quality of construction wasn't even my first complaint, I emailed TNF as soon as I noticed they got rid of the boot lace clip for the gaiters after wondering why my feet were soaked first day of sledding...because they have a meshed gaiter. Super poor design there. lets snow right in.

I really like these, and they fit great! My mobility is really good, especially in the legs. I was a bit concerned at first at the bagginess of the legs but when in use I was grateful for them.

I am a women's size M/6 and the women's version of these in my size were sold out so I decided to give the men's size small a try. So far so good! They kept me warm and dry up on the mountain last weekend. They fit well and are super comfortable. I haven't tried them out in wet conditions yet, but hopefully they can manage.

The Small is a good fit for someone who is trim with a 30 to 32 waist. I'm 5'10" and my son is 6 feet. We're both about 160 lbs. There was plenty of room to sit on a chairlift and crouch while skiing and not be uncomfortable in the crotch. Plenty of room for a long underwear layer or two. If you want a baggy look like in snowboarding fashion, or you've got a gut, get a Medium.

Very disappointed, they fit great and look great but after only 2 days skiing the crotch is already coming apart. Now I will be back in my 20 yr old columbia ski pants while I deal with the return/warranty process which has been painful so far. Will probably not get to enjoy a new set of snow pants until next season. First and probably the last item I buy from The North Face.

Great bibs! I am 5'6" 150lbs and the Small Shorts fit perfectly. I have 4 days in these at Big Sky in single digit temps and snowing and they performed flawlessly. Add the proper layers and they are plenty warm (and waterproof). Only changes I would make would be a separate fly opening and a zippered chest pocket instead of velcro.

I love these Bibs. They are simple, have pockets, vents, and openings in all the right places. and on a cold Minnesota night outside for hours, they kept me very warm. I am impressed. Caution on sizing though, if you can try them on in person, I would go that route. I followed the measurement guide and bought a large. Could hardly move in them, and felt like they were going to burst if I had to kneel. ended up buying up to an XXL and that would allow for freer movement and layering. If you are built like the guy in the photos, then you might be fine, but if you have anything more to you than that, buy up a size or two.

I have worn and loved North Face Freedom ski pants for years. This freedom Bib, was extremely disappointing. These pants disintegrated the first day I wore them.
