These shoes were just weird. If you want your feet to look like a duckbilled platypus, these are for you! They were so light they were like jazz shoes for dancing, not for sports--no support, exceptionally flexible, and strangely broad at the instep. They were also a full half size, at least, too short in the toes, which is something I almost never experience. All round, just not a good, or even possible, choice for me. But if you need something ultra-light and don't mind that it's so flimsy, they might just work for you.

I love the look of the shoe - I have these in the grey cloth version and was excited to see them in black. Unfortunately, I had the same experience as others - the 6.5, which I’ve worn in Merrells for years, was too small (my toes bumped the end of the shoes - I ended up ordering the 7 and, despite being a little long, were the right size) and I had the same uncomfortable ridge issue right where the toes bend. Really disappointed as I have worn the cloth pair for years and love them; back they go!

Yes, comfortable bare foot feel and that gives comfort immediately upon putting these shoes on. Caveat: The toe protector piece creates an uncomfortable ridge on the interior where it joins the body of the shoe. This interior ridge hits the big toe, causing pain, and made these shoes UNWEARABLE for me. This defect might be avoided by ordering one size larger in length. The gray and the Pomegranate colors are really lovely---and I'm really sad that this shoe was not for me.

Only problem was insurmountable due to design element. The toe cap attachment creates a ridge in the interior roof of the shoe causing impingement upon the big toe which causes pain and makes the shoe unwearable. One could order a size longer to avoid this problem. The Pomegranate color was luscious and was a perfect match to my outfit, but alas I couldn't wear the shoe. Drat!!!

This is a cute and casual shoe, I like the look of it. However, not very comfy. Really does feel like you are barefoot. Kind of like wearing a pair of converse all day long. You aren't wearing them for comfort....

Looks nice, I like the leather and color, but the shoe was uncomfortable on my feet. The stitching that holds the tongue in rubs uncomfortably. I shouldn't buy shoes on line, fit is too important.

This is my third pair of vapor gloves. I got these in red and they're adorable BUT the quality and fit is not the same as my previous pairs. The leather is stiff, there is no give making them very uncomfortable. I would have returned them but I took them on a hiking trip as my only shoe and suffered through it. I naively thought they would fit like a glove, like my previous pairs and the name imply. This is the first time I've been disappointed by Merrells.

WHY is the big toe area covered in hard rubber? If your toe sticks up at all, you will not like these shoes. Not sure why this uncomfortable feature is on many, if not most, of Merrell's barefoot shoes. Returned.

I purchased a pair of these shoes about a month ago. From the moment I put my foot in them I loved them. Then.....sadly after wearing them only 3 times, the eyelet broke loose where they lace up. I contacted Merrell and told them the problem and they asked me to try to resolve the issue where I purchased the shoes. I did just that. Went back to the store of purchase and they replaced them for me. Once again, when I had worn them 3 times, the eyelet broke loose again. Please, Merrell, put some sort of eyelet on these shoes. I love these shoes so much that I am going to take them to a cobbler to see if they can put eyelets in for me, or at least holes to lace them. If they can't, then sadly I will take them back again.
