I went to a retailer with the intention of purchasing the Stone Engineer Boot. They didn't have that item in stock and it doesn't come in a wide size anyway. I usually wear a 11 1/2 D size shoe, but opted for the 11 wide in this boot which was available and even with the bunion I have, the great leather on these boots feel spot on right out of the box. I had a pair of Frye boots many years ago which lasted a long time and expect these will see many years and miles on the FLHR. Made in the USA is a +++. If other Frye boots become available in a wide size I'd certainly consider purchasing another style as well.

I already owned 3 pairs of frye 8"s. I really liked the look of the belted harness in the chestnut color, so I took the plunge and ordered a pair. (12"). The color was slightly more brown in real life, but I got some wine color shoe polish, and that brought out the tint and shine I was looking for. I usually take a 11 in boots, but size down with frye. All of my frye boots are 10.5 and are very consistent in fit. My new 12" belted harness boots are pretty great. I would recommend getting a pair! Hope this helps!

I'm turning 60 this year and i can't believe these boots are still kicking. I've used them from turning the yard over to cleaning them and wearing them to events. My purchase price was under 100 dollars back then at a store closeout and only one size left...9...that was me. My grandson wears them around the house even though he is only five so I guess they will be his when he fits into them. I couldn't replace them though looking at the current retail....but who would want to ?

After much research and hand wringing, I made the decision to purchase my Frye boots online. I hadn't purchased footwear online before, let alone a beautiful (and not inexpensive) pair of boots that I'd never tried on before... when I opened the box the first hint that greeted me was that delicious smell of fine leather. Then the beautiful boots, well crafted, and fit absolutely perfectly! I rarely take them off and wear them all day long. These are my favorite.

I've had these boots in chestnut brown for around five to six years now. I wear them practically everyday and couldn't be happier with them. After all those years of wear and tear I had a new sole put on and they are as good as new (better since I don't have to break them in again). I will be buying another pair soon just to keep in the closet for when the inevitable happens. I love these boots!
