I have wide feet and high arches and these fit perfectly. I have been wearing them during harvest in the winery and they were comfortable enough to wear all day from the day I received them. Highly recommend!

I bought these shoes for a trip to Chicago and they worked perfectly. I wanted something comfortable, versatile, and water resistant. They arrived on Monday and we left on Wednesday, so no time to break them in. I wore them for 5 full days in the city with nary a blister or other discomfort. My feet were dry and warm the entire trip! I was very impressed with how comfortable these were right out of the box. They’re also very neutral and classic so I know I can wear them for years to come. The only downside is that the exterior is kind of “soft” so there was a lot of Dye transfer from my jeans.

Bought these for my wife, she loves them. Fit & quality is what she expects from Merrells, which are the majority of her shoes. Arch support is high -which is what she needs. The best part of the purchase though, is Zappos. After being in a nearby town the day before scheduled delivery, day of delivery tracking showed the package was sent to Yakima WA, 1500 miles from me & would be 2 days late, & not here for Xmas. A call to Zappos resulted in them shipping a new package to where we were going to be for Xmas, with a delivery in time for Xmas and the errant package re-routed back to Zappos. That's a major reason we buy from Zappos -always great service.

There is definitely enough room for thick socks. I am a solid 7 and I ordered a 7 and there is just enough wiggle room for winter socks. Very comfortable. I am enjoying them. I did not experience any gaps in the front more than the usual mid length boot.

These are wonderful boots. Very well made, and quality leather. Merrell does run narrow, but having tried these on in a store (a size too small) I decided to order them hoping they would be comfortable. I think if I didn't have a wide foot and bunion, they would be perfect. Maybe the leather would stretch over time but I just couldn't justify it. I wish Merrell would offer a wide or a size 12 since they do tend to run a bit smaller.

My toes were at the very end. Had to return. Needed half size bigger but toally loved these boots. Will get correct size later

This boot fits well, nice wider toe bed and good arch support. A good walking boot for rainy and slightly messy weather.

I love Merrell shoes and boots. As always, these little boots were comfy right out of the box. I live in Merrell boots all winter, except when taking walks in my Merrell sneakers. I have very small feet, narrow heel but an apparently wide toe bed. It's hard to find shoes that are comfortable but Merrell always comes through with comfort, quality and style.

Some other reviewers also experienced the lack of support, no cushioning in the sole and drab styling. Others had more positive things to say that led me to give these boots a try. They will soon be on their way back.

These boots are wonderful... have ordered and returned several other brands. Out of the box these are comfortable and lightweight. Perfect for travel I am very happy

These boots were comfortable for all-day walking right out of the box. Exactly as I’ve come to expect from Merrells. The fact that they’re waterproof at such a good price is a great bonus.

I love these Merrell boots. They are perfect for my wide feet -- comfortable immediately, even in the Medium width. I have a hard time finding boots that are wide enough. Some boots I've tried, in a Wide width, are roomy enough in the foot, but zip closed too tightly at the ankle. These are just right for me in fit and comfort, and the leather is a lovely, deep black.

I’m a pretty standard 6.5 - wide feet shaped like a Birkenstock, high arche, bunions and I’m a walker not a driver. I had the Merrell Tetralaunch almost a decade ago and that boot lasted me maaaany rains. Anyways - I tried to go with a few different brands when I decided to buy boots this year and no luck. It was back to Merrell for me. Comfortable right off the box! (which is a rarety in my case) - because I ordered the black ones and I’m one of those people who wears basically all black all year it blends in easily with my wardrobe and I can make it dressy enough for my lifestyle. In the words of Bill and Ted: Excellent ?

I so very much wanted these to fit. Unfortunately, even though these have extra room in the toes (crucial for my shape of feet), they did not work on me. If you have "normal" feet that need a little extra room, these would work for you. I have bunions and, though these should technically be wider, they did not work for me. A shame because they look great for a waterproof shoe.

Very comfy and can use my Superfeet orthotic inserts for extra support for my flat feet. I’m sick of wearing clogs, get too cold in the winter to wear short booties and knee high boots get cumbersome sometimes. These shoes are the perfect solution and simple in construction without a bunch of buckles or bling. Merrell makes quality, long lasting shoes. And yay for Zappos for awesome customer service per usual.

I love these boots! They fit perfectly and look great.

The foot bed is very comfortable, but the 9.5 was definitely too large and the 9 was a better length but became too narrow. With a differently proportioned foot, these would be very comfortable shoes.

Though I really like these boots, I'm conflicted about them. I ordered my usual size and they felt a bit small (though the width is fine). So I ordered a 1/2 size up and they feel big. I really like these and need a waterproof boot for spring in Maine so I'll keep the smaller size but, I won't be able to wear thick socks with these.

These boots are perfect, right out of the box. Even the medium width has a roomy toe box. I love that they're waterproof. Arch support is decent, although there's plenty of room for an orthotic if you're so inclined.

Merrells are the shoes that more than any other fit my feet right from the box. If Merrells work for you, these likely will too. There is room for my toes. I have a bunion, too, and there's no issue with it. I wanted something that looked good with skinny pants or leggings, but were shorter than my La Canadienne knee highs. These are casual, but they look good with leggings, and are waterproof too. Quality looks great too.
