Great gloves, but came apart after 2 weeks of moderate use, this is my second pair of Arcterix gloves which I loved but did not last me for more than 2 weeks, the other pair were "diplomat" gloves. The quality control on these gloves is unacceptable for a company like Arcterix. Maybe third time lucky or maybe, I should learn my lesson and purchase gloves elsewhere. Very happy with all my other Arcterix gear.

have used those for ~2 weeks (exclusively bike commuting) and the leather's started to break up on both hands, and on both the index and thumb. I don't know where this material was sourced from, but it's nothing like the stuff on my previous pairs of dead bird gloves. Quite disappointed.

FIT: I'm a glove, jacket and shoe guy, so I bought these because they were stylish and I wanted a new pair of wind stopper gloves. I wore these for about 3 weeks but had to return them mainly because of fit. For reference, I wear a M/L golf glove in all brands, so I ordered these in a large and they were way too tight around the circumference of my hand, so much so my hand was sore in the tendons for hours after wearing these gloves. I think it was the beginnings of tendinitis as it was the same feeling I'd get when I wear shoes too tight. Like other reviewers have said, the glove was difficult to get my hand into, which I don't mind as I have other gloves like this, but even after the glove was on, it squeezed my hand constantly and didn't stretch out. WARMTH: These aren't insulated, so I had no delusions that these were very warm, but wore them in WI this past month during some cold days and they blocked the wind well but weren't warm, which I was expecting. So realize these block wind, but aren't insulating in the least. QUALITY CONTROL: The stitching at the base of the cuff started coming undone after week 2. This was highly unanticipated for a glove in this price point. About 5 stitches were already out and the elastic border on the base was unfurling. Even out of the packaging, 3 strands of loose stitching had to cut off so that told me they have low to no quality control. FINGER LENGTH: Most fingers' circumference fit well, except the thumb which was too tight. The ring finger on both gloves were abnormally long, almost the same length as the middle finger, and longer than the pointer finger, so if your ring finger is as long as your middle finger, you might like these gloves, but alas I am not a freak. SUMMARY: Author's opinion so take it with a grain of salt: Overall, the only reason I can see anyone spending this amount of money on these gloves is because they display the Arc'teryx logo prominently on them, but if it's a well made good fitting glove you want, there's better brands out there at similar price points, OR is one I'm thinking of. This is the second pair of Arc'teryx gloves I was disappointed with, and in reading other gloves' reviews, I hazard to guess Arc'teryx doesn't care much about their glove line and outsources design and manufacturing to 3rd party Chinese vendors. Their glove line I think was an after thought to complete their line of clothing accessories and since their core business is jackets, which they make greats ones I might add, the glove business is something they just don't put much effort in, if any.

I bought these online with high hopes, after pretty extensive comparison of reviews and specs in the search for a bomber pair of light softshell gloves for shoulder season biking, hiking, races and xc skiing. Unfortunately, while material and design look ideal, I'll never be sure - had to return them since the fit was so bizarre. I've been a solid medium in any glove all my life, never had issues like this before. Wrist extremely tight, making them a challenge to get on and off even indoors. Thumbs far too tight. Fingers snug but too long. Palm bunched up with tons of extra material when I closed my hand. Thanks for coming out.

I own so many great items from Arc Teryx, but these are not one of them. These gloves are so unlike Arc. Normally the construction quality by Arc is what sets them above all, this time its what lets them down. They are poorly made. The seams are very bulky inside the glove and they stick into my fingers. When I first saw them, I had to have them. I was looking for a slim, stylish glove and just bought them because they looked great. They werent that comfortable when I tried them on but that didnt really bother me and I thought they would get better as I wear them in. but the fingers are still very uncomfortable. I love Arc, talk them up to my friends, think their products are normally by far & away superior, but they have just let it slip a little with these.

Wore these for about a month until the stitches around the wrist band completely gave out. Brutal quality for the price. Does not align with the quality of my other Arc'teryx products, can't believe Arc'teryx still chooses to sell these gloves despite the list of bad reviews regarding similar problems as mine.

These gloves are pretty much useless on their own. Bought some merino liners and they did the job for maybe 3 months. After that the touch tips have worn away and the seams at the base of the gloves have completely ripped off from just normal wear. (hiking mostly, no climbing). Would not recommend

From reading the reviews, I knew the Ventas wouldn't be extremely warm but I was fine with that because I just wanted a pair of everyday gloves that would be reasonably warm and could handle rain, snow, and wind. However, after wearing out the Ventas out for a morning walk (~8C, light wind), I was extremely disappointed at how cold they made my hands feel. Even though the fabric is windproof, the cold wind hitting the glove cools the entire glove shell down, which permeates straight through to your hand. Once I started feeling this, I decided to try wearing the glove on one hand and taking it off on the other, and the side without the glove actually felt warmer than the side with the glove. This is because cold wind cools the entire glove down, which conducts all the heat away from your hand. I could barely feel my fingers on my glove hand when I got back to my home whereas my barehand only felt a bit cold but still fine.

Purchased less than 3 weeks ago and have only used them casually on walks. And yet the thumb tip started tearing on the left, the top, and especially all around the bottom! I own many other Arc'Teryx products, and the quality lately has not stood up to their standards: from many loose threads on beanies to now this. Very disappointed.

I waited nearly a year for stock to replace my Rivet Glove which Arcteryx still doesn't have in stock, and replaced it with this Venta Glove. If you go through the reviews you'll find the same issue the cuff is to tight and the stiching comes undone. What did Arcteryx do to fix this issue their gloves have had year after year complaints in their reviews? Aparently nothing at all since I worn my glove twice the stiching in the cuff has started to come un done. If you've ever done a day of labour in you life these gloves are not for you, I have tghe XL which is the largest glove they offer and the cuff on the wrist is designed for a child, yet the fingers are half an inch too long. Normal humans are not Mr. Burns from the Simpsons stop designing your gloves for him. Arcteryx clearly does no listen to their customers concerns when they make zero improvements in their glove design season after season and continue to have gloves fail in the same way over and over again. For the price of this glove it should be tailored perfectly for each indivdual not this junk they are selling.

I really do beleive in the virtue of softshell for high intensity activities so I bought these for ski touring uphill. The leatherette finger tips is literally coming off in pieces contamining the glue of my climbing skins during transitions. I thought it was simple manufacturing defect so I bought a second pair but the second pair did the same exact thing. Those gloves are not good quality. Not the quality you would cone to expect from a brand like Arc'Teryx.

Very disappointed after upgrading from the last version. Very difficult to get on out in field if cold or damp and no proper seal round the wrist after. Last version elastic comfortable and long lasting unless you lose one.

I've been wearing these a lot over the last couple of months trying to like them and they are truly terrible. I've worn them both for early and late evening runs as well as casually trying to get them to break in and stretch out but no luck. I wear mediums is all other Arc gloves and other brands, but these fit TIGHT, and the large is too large. I've been hoping that they would stretch but no luck so far. The way the seams are sewn and finished on the inside I always feel the seams along my fingers and under my finger nails. I also do not find them particularly windproof or warm. I have a pair of Rivets (in medium) that are far more comfortable and warm. I was hoping these Venta gloves would be like them, just windproof.

I've had these gloves for a couple years now and they are falling apart in multiple places. First the touchscreen material wore off on the fingers so they no longer work with touchscreen devices. Next, the stitching on the cuff started coming undone on both hands. I'd expect much better quality and durability from an Arc'teryx product. I'm waiting for a solution to be presented to me.

I got a pair of these gloves as a gift. They are advertised as being windproof. I found that they are not windproof at all, and my fingers always felt cold in them. Also like other people, the first time I wore the gloves, the cuff tore off. This happened on both gloves. I also found that the gloves are a bit smaller than other brands. The person who gave me the gloves knew this and bought one size larger for me.
