I had the Bugaboot II boot which I loved. Needed a new pair so I ordered these. In a word, they are HORRIBLE. I truly cannot understand how this redesign made it to market. There are hard plastic rods inside the boot near the top of the foot that aren't padded nearly enough, so they dig into the top of your feet. These rods of pain were present in both pairs I ordered, so not a random defect. These boots are so uncomfortable, my feet were in pain just wearing them around my bedroom. What were you thinking, Columbia????

I bought these two years ago. I've worn them six times and the leather separated from the rubber and the rubber is cracked. Waste of money! Very disappointed in what I thought would be a quality product.

I like the look of this boot, but it was so stiff that I couldn't get my foot in past the "bend" at the ankle. The same size in black was no problem.

The sizing was a little small. I wear between a 6 - 6.5 and had to purchase a 7 for the right fit. The boot was very stiff and uncomfortable around the back of my legs but I thought they would break in. They didn't. I was willing to overlook the stiffness because they were soooo warm in the snow. I wore the boots just a few times for about three winters. I took them out of the closet for our first snowfall this year, put them on, went outside and they fell apart on me. The rubber split all the way across the boot where it meets the leather and down the sides. Considering I only wore them 9 or 10 times, this was unacceptable. I'm attaching pictures. You can see by the soles of the boot and the leather that they were not worn much. Very disappointed in Columbia. I have Columbia winter coats, rain gear, clothing, etc. and have been a loyal customer for years. I will not replace my boots with another pair from Columbia.

Great winter hiking boot! Took these to Iceland and they kept my toes warm, helped me walk through ice and snow comfortably, and looked cute!

I have a pair of Bugaboo boots that are over 10 years old. They finally wore out and I am very happy with the new boots. They are comfortable and look great. I hope these will last many years to come.

I needed an extremely warm boots for cold winters in Northern Wisconsin and these did the trick except for the nasty blisters it gave my heels. For some odd reason the designers of these boots put a huge seam up the middle of the back of the boot. This caused a huge blister on both of my heels. I checked all my other boots and none of them has this large seam right in the middle. I love how warm these boots are but if I have to walk more than a mile or two I pay for it with blisters.

Good boot, but small sized. I bought a half size up so I could add thick socks. The boot is narrow at the toes and it hits my pinkie toe when barefoot. I'm worried about any socks at all, let alone a thicker sock. I've worn them once to clean snow off my car. They are warm. Snug up onto my shin, which will take some getting used to when I walk and I hope it doesn't rub on my skin.

I will be returning this item. I had this type of boot about 10 years ago and loved them. When I tried these on and walked around a bit, squatted down etc. in my house, the inside seam between the lower and upper of the boot bent in and started protruding into my ankle. I would not risk wearing them outside the house to try them winter hiking/walking etc. Maybe they would break in but at this price I'm not chancing it. Also just fyi, you will pay shipping for anything you return, which is not ideal.

This is the second pair of Bugaboots I have owned and have worn a handful of times. They've been stored in my closet since last winter and were wiped down after each wear with a damp cloth. Discovered today that the Techlite EVA had multiple cracks and the top part has come unattached where glued on both shoes. Not worth the price if you are expecting to get a few years of use out of them.

The sole of the boot has good grip and safe for walking. However, the top of the boot is hard material and after walking 4 miles, it caused pain in my shin and calf which lasted 1-2 days :( Also buy a size bigger as it runs a bit tight and you can't wear thicker socks

Uncomfortable! No flexibility. If you want to stand in one spot they will probably keep you warm. Walking is impossible. I felt like Herman Munster. The boots hit in the back of the calf. I've been extremely disappointed in Columbia boots. This is the second pair I've tried this winter. The last pair leaked. Columbia can only ride the coattails of their name brand for so long. The quality just isn't there anymore.

I bought this years ago and took good care of them since winters are only 1/3 of our year in the NE, this year they had disintegrated on me. All the company could do is transfer my inquiry from one department to another. I have never had any quality clothing do this - unfortunately having companies act like this to customers appears to be routine. Maybe we are not all billionaires Mr. T Boyle and deserve some respect for our time and purchases too?

I got the boots before last winter and barely wore it. This winter we got heavy snow, so I wore my boots about 10 times and found them ripped in several spots and about to loose bottoms.

I loved these when I got them 2 years ago, kept my feet warm and dry in the snow. I've only worn them maybe 30-40 times and only in snow, no rocky terrain that could cut into the boot. They only have a 1 year warranty so I get nothing. I've always loved Columbia gear but this is ridiculous. Spend your money on another boot.

I got these 3 years ago, worn them maybe 3 times. The right side of the tip is cracking open. I am a school teacher; near the beach. Rarely do we have cold weather. I wore then today for the cold and the rain. So much for waterproof. I tried to upload a picture, but it's not letting me.

Kept my shoes warm in Norway in 30 degree Fahrenheit. I was able to spend 6 hours camping in snow without a problem. Has excellent ankle support. You feel the weight day 1 but you get used to it in a while. Great purchase.
