I am usually an 8.5, saw the reviews suggesting these were the tiniest bit snug, so I went with the 9. I haven't had a chance to test them in the snow yet (and now that I am prepared, I'm afraid we won't have any snow this year at all!) They might feel snug with very thick socks, but they claim to be warm, so maybe my thinner wool socks will be perfect.

I love these boots, they’re my go to!! I’m usually a size 6.5 and on occasion a 7 with a narrow foot. These boots fit about a half size smaller and quite narrow. I purchased them in black - size 7 and they feel warm, comfy, and hug my foot. Love the style. Love the fur because it’s just enough..... not overdone.

As far as the fit is concerned, I typically wear a 9 1/2 N (my feet are both narrow and low volume) and ordered a 10 as recommended. They fit me like gloves and feel like slippers--ridiculously comfortable. Make no mistake, these boots run narrow, and can be adjusted with the laces to be even narrower. I would think they'd be too narrow for someone who wears a medium, especially with thick, warm socks. Now, I've been waiting to review these, because it hasn't snowed yet, and I'm not convinced they will be that warm, even though they are rated to 30 below. I'm comparing them with a pair of Baffins I've had for a decade, which are crazy warm and were (they are pretty beat up) very waterproof, because the foot part of the boot is primarily rubber. The Columbia boots are far more feminine, lighter, more flexible, and smaller looking, with removable inserts (not thick or insulated). The Baffins are all-out clodhoppers, with a removable, insulated, boot-sized insert (like a boot within a boot) and thick rubber on the bottom to act as a considerable buffer between feet and snow. The Columbias just don't seem to have that buffer. They also don't have all the air pockets that are created by layers. I will review again once it has snowed. If they keep my feet warm, I will be surprised and thrilled!

Loved the design and shoe, but the material on the sole is squeeky, it gave me shivers with every step ......

Super cute boots! I mainly use them early in the winter mornings (when I’m concerned about ice) getting to and from my pilates class. Unfortunately, these are bare foot only boots in my regular size (8, probably could have gone with an 8.5). If you’re purchasing these as a “slip off your heels so you don’t wreck yourself in the winter” they are perfect in your normal size. If you want to wear thick socks or Pilates socks inside them, go with a half or full size larger.

Loved how light these boots were but had to return because too small (and then next size up unavailable).
