I love this boot! It works wonderfully for my narrow heel! I ordered a half size up so I could use my custom orthotic insole instead of the one that comes in the boot. It is cute and warm.

I normally wear either a 7.5 or 8 in a street shoe and for this one, based on earlier reviews, I went with an 8.5. That fit perfectly right out of the box. The boot seems warm (I haven't had really cold weather to test it in so far) and it's very comfortable. I was able to wear it on a four-mile hike the first time I put it on! Seems to even have some decent cushioning, as well. I am very pleased with this boot--good price, warm, comfortable right out of the box and not clunky.

This boot is perfect for my use which is walking (a mile) in wet, cold weather (east coast winters). It is like a high top sneaker—comfortable, flexible and easy to walk in. And it is waterproof and warm which is a huge plus. They were comfortable right out of the box. Usually I take an 8 or 8 1/2 and needed a size 9.

Another reviewer mentioned that these are like wearing moccasins, which got my attention. These may be my favorite pair of boots. Excellent traction, though I haven't tried them on ice yet, only a gravel trail and easier conditions. The purple is both understated and beautiful. They do feel like moccasins, exceptionally comfortable. They'd be great slippers if they weren't so expensive. They move well on the leg yet hug it gently. I love that they are narrow since my feet and legs are as well so most boots and shoes feel less stable. These are great, warm too! I highly recommend in any color.

I wear an 8 almost always. I read reviews on this boot and still felt comfortable ordering my size, thinking there may be a chance they may be a half size too small. When I received the 8, I realized they were too overall way too small (length, width). I called Zappos for help in sizing as I love the boot..perfect height, nice looking boot. We discussed going up a half size or whole size. The super helper from Zappos, after hearing how these fit, suggested I go up a whole size (9). I was VERY hesitant, but she reminded me, of they didn't work out in a 9, try the 81/2. No problem.I quickly received the 9, tried it on and it fit perfectly! So happy with the boot. No snow/rain to try them out yet, but very happy overall with these boots.

These are extremely comfortable boots and seem to be well made. My 9 year old daughter wore them out in the snow today and she said they had good traction on the snow/ice and kept her feet very warm. She has very narrow but long foot, so I ordered the size 9 for her. I also tried them on to order a pair for myself. I have a regular size foot, definitely more narrow than wide, and typically wear a 8.5 in regular shoes/sandals. I tried both a size 9 and 9.5, and the size 9 was way too small. The 9.5 fit but my toe was at the end, and with thick socks, they would be too uncomfortable to wear for any length of time. I also felt that sizing across the top of the foot was a bit tight. So I reordered a size 10 -- a full 1.5 sizes larger than I normally wear -- and those fit perfectly.

These boots look and feel great! I bought one size larger due to comments and winter socks and they fit perfectly. They are attractive, made well and comfortable. Will see how they make it through a NY winter :) Overall satisfied with my purchase so far.

These boots feel amazing on my feet. Fit true to size. My feet feel like they are surrounded bye a warm floating cloud. Boots are so stylish yet they will be warm, dry, in snowy, slushy weather. I feel so stylish while wearing these boots.

These are true to size, and if you plan to wear thicker socks, you may want to consider sizing up. I chose my regular size, as I don't plan on wearing thicker socks on a regular basis. I like how these shoes don't feel heavy, yet they keep me warm.

I want to love these boots but they feel really narrow and they rub against the top of my foot in an uncomfortable way. I will keep them hoping they stretch out but they are not the boots for long walks at all. Plus there is very little cushioning to the foot bed. I'm rating them a C+

These boots definitely run a bit small; I normally wear a 10 or 10 1/2, and bought the 10 1/2. They're a tight fit, and also run somewhat narrow - fortunately for me, my feet are narrow to begin with. As others have been saying, the biggest issue with the sizing is that there isn't quite enough height in the arch and toe area, leaving the feeling that your feet are being squeezed from above. I wore these to a two-hour meeting at work (because I had to walk through snow to get to the meeting), and my feet felt uncomfortable by the end of it - not because the boots needed more length or width, but because the tops of my feet felt squished from above. I have also shoveled in these boots, and I'll say that they're A+ for that! Fairly lightweight, good grip, and good at keeping your feet warm and dry.

I wear a left 9.5 and a right 10. I ordered both the Mid and short lengths in the Minx as I did in the Heavenly in both the 9.5 and 10. The 10 might have fit if the toe box was wider and taller. Also if the laces didn't come down so low to the toe. I have returned them along with the Columbia Heavenly and ordered the Columbia Meadow. My question is, what has happened to Columbia's sizing standard?

I purchased a wide and the boot isn’t as wide as I’m used to in all the other wides I wear. I consider this a regular width boot. Not for me. The height was great for my 5’2” legs and the fake fur wasn’t too overwhelming. The shaping around the top was nice. If they make this wider and without fur, I’ll try again.

I wear a 10.5. Order 11. Loved them but they fit like a 10. So I ordered the 12. And bizarrely, that too was too snug.

I ordered this in a 10 and they were extremely snug. I tried the Ice Maiden 3 in a 10.5 and they fit perfectly with thick socks. I think these would fit better 1/2 to 1 whole size larger. I will update my review once order them in a size larger.

The other reviewers weren't exaggerating - these run quite small and narrow. Even a full size up from my usual size was still too small.

O' Columbia, you broke my heart! I have a pair of these boots that are wearing out, so I was *thrilled* to find these at such a great price. Now, I have to admit that I have strange feet. I have one foot that's an 8 1/2 AA, another that's about an 8 3/4 AA, and very narrow heels. So, when I saw the fit was narrow, I was overjoyed. I figured they would fit me in the same size my others do--9 1/2. Sadly, they didn't. When I put these on, it felt like tight elastic bands were squeezing my feet. I loosened the laces, but that did not help. So, they are on their way back to Zappos. For those whom these fit, they are very warm, and cute. For me, they were heartbreakers. Thanks anyway, Columbia and Zappos.

I bought these mid iii's after the mid ii's I bought from another retailer sprung a leak after the first season. This update with the ties wrapping around the back of the outside of the upper calf don't work for me. I do not have thick calves, but no matter how I laced them, I could feel the pressure. So, I unlaced them thru the top opening and wore them laced thru the lower second opening. This seemed to do something wonky to the boot. So, then I bent the top part down to cascade over that second lace. Still weird pressure on calves. Too uncomfortable. Very unfortunate as the red color I bought was a spectacular color! Colombia needs to do something about their boots. They aren't cheap but I am struggling the last couple of seasons finding a wearable pair.
