The shoe itself was fine, but the opening had a stretchy fabric around it that was WAAAY to tight! I could barely get my foot it with a thin sock on. Wouldn't even try getting a warm winter sock into them! That is the only drawback. The soles look amazing for snowy/icy winter wear.

Way to tight :( Merrell slip on shoes are not good if you have a high instep!

Elastic band across instep made it difficult to put on. Elastic has no sheathing on underside which causes socks to catch on elastic. Socks bunch up and don’t allow foot to readily slip in. Odd color combination.

Size is fine, they are a bit snug with heavy , cushioned socks. They are very comfortable,

These fit exceedingly well. I know there was some concern voiced about those with high-in steps but I actually have a very high arch and instep and sometimes find shoes with laces across the upper mid-portion of my foot uncomfortable. The sock-like stretchy material that makes up the top portion of the shoe is quite comfortable and makes it one of the more comfortable shoes for a person like me with a high instep than shoes that have laces. At least in my case, I would highly recommend if that is a concern of yours. Otherwise, they are as warm to wear in cold weather as expected and fit quite nicely.

I bought these for my husband. He has diabetes & a medical issue that affects his walking ability. He needs something to wear in the snow & rain but he can't wear anything clunky or uncomfortable. These fit him perfectly & they will keep his feet warm & dry. He really likes these & says they are true to size & comfortable.

My husband wears these shoes almost every day, they last about a year. They are great to slip on when waking the dog in the morning dew, for long hikes in the mud and pretty much every day. They are warm, but not too warm for summer and the waterproof is wonderful. The treads on the bottom give me a little extra security in the winter. The collar at the instep was a little hard to manage at first and I think he got used to it but think when these go, will replace this with the similar style that does not have that. Have been on wait list for a while so hope they make them for the Fall.
