Several eyelets on my boots have broken and I have no way to have them repaired. Customers of Columbia boots should be warned the same eyelets are still being used on many of their boots. Those eyelets broke very easily.

I purchased the 12w I'm really an 11. I wanted room for thick wool socks and liners. They didn't fit with a normal thin sock. I now have to order a 13? I've never had a 13 anything lol.

Junk! I began wearing these the first week of December. From the beginning they were stiff and squeaky and that never changed. The worst problems are the laces and eyelets. The eyelets are cloth with no plastic inserts like previous models. By April the eyelets began tearing.

I ordered this boot because it is one of the only "wide" winter boots available. I have had great experiences with Columbia outerwear products and was looking forward to having a quality boot for snowshoeing at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, the boot runs small in a couple different ways. The length is not "true to size" by about a half size (so I really needed a half size up from my normal). This is also a "wide" boot and the width seemed fine (once into the boot), but the narrow collar and restricted boot opening makes it almost impossible to get a wide foot into the boot to enjoy the wide footbed. It was an incredible struggle to get my foot into the boot to the point where I had to return them (it shouldn't take several minutes of tugging, pushing, and pulling...with only a single layer of socks) and ended up going with a wide model from an alternate brand that my foot is able to slip in and out of very easily. I wish these would have worked as they were my first choice and had every feature I wanted. I'm not sure why Columbia makes such a tight entry to a "wide style" boot?

It is "WIDE" but still feels narrow. This may be because I'm used to shoes with a wide toe box.

These are great boots that look awesome and fit well enough. The top of the boot however, the part the laces cover is extremely tight. I've never felt boots or shoes so tight and had to loosen the laces considerably to even get my feet inside. They are still quite tight but more manageable now. Any looser and my ankle would be bouncing around too much inside them. However my biggest issue with them is that they are too tall. My shins are scarred raw from them. Even with thick boot socks, they rub me sore. That's something I could live with but if my boot socks drop even an inch while I walk and work (which is inevitable), the boots will rub bare skin and I now have scars from them. It was extremely painful the first two days but I don't have any feeling in those parts of my leg anymore so I don't notice it too much until I get home and have to tend to the wounds.

I bought it 2 or 3 years ago; but today was the first time I wore the boots, hey I live in CA, we don't have snow here. I stored it in a shoe cabinet all this time. I noticed some discoloration on the rubber part when I put them on; but NBD since I cared more about the functionality. I spent an hour in snow when I took them off the rubber part just fell apart, it feels very crunchy to the touch. I expect boots to last longer than 2-3 years with rare use, let alone no use.

I bought these 2 years ago. Today was the 3rd time I wore them. Complete separation of the suede from the rubber portion of the boot. These were kept in a closet inside the home. Will not buy Columbia foot wear again.

I've owned 2 previous versions of Bugaboot and loved them. I ordered these in the same size and they were far too small. Also, instead of open loops at the top this new lone has a closed loop for some strange reason, that make them very difficult to put on.

These boots felt great the first few times I wore them. The fit on my foot is excellent and they're super lightweight. The soles have good grip on snowy inclines and overall the boot is quite functional. My only initial complaint was that the stretchy laces don't hold at all so it's a bit of a pain to lace the boots tightly. The biggest issue that I have run into after about a month, which makes the boots almost unusable, is that the upper part of the boot folds in and pushes into my ankle whenever the toe lifts up - such as when walking uphill or stepping on uneven ground. This crease pushing into my ankle is painful and causes me to alter how I walk to avoid the pain. This issue is a huge bummer for me because I thought I had found some great boots but now I cannot rely on them for covering any long distances due to the pain. You can see the crease in the photos coming from the third lace eyelet up from the toe.

I bought these just recently and before I left on a mountain trek tested their waterproofness in my bathtub. Ended up with a soggy foot within seconds. Retested them 3 times, very soggy foot each time. Clearly a defective boot, but I still had to pay to ship them back. I'd recommend staying away from these if dry feet are a priority for you. Get something that can isn't going to be defective out of the box.

Bought these boots for my son who participates in winter outdoor activities (hiking, snowshoeing, etc) and found out that they did not keep him warm in 12 degree weather. He actually said he has never been so cold. This was disappointing and frustrating as I trust the Columbia name and read the description carefully and they are recommended for snow activities. I DO NOT RECOMMEND for warmth.

Got the run around on my order that it was waiting to be shipped. 8 days after it was supposed to be in my hands I called and was told that I had to wait until after 12 days for them to consider it to be a lost shipment.. can't get a refund until after that and I could reorder but ohhh wait no longer in stock. Company knew item was out of stock but didn't tell me and now holding back on a refund. I expected better treatment than that. Can't answer questions about quality because I never saw the product

Was excited to get these on Copper Mountain in Colorado. Found out quickly that these boots 200g insulation did not live up to the other manufacturers 200g even in heavy merino wool. Also these boots do leak if you are walking through heavy snow. They are not waterproof by any means. Insoles were completely wet after 4 hours. You should have cold feet buying these boots after reading this review as I did on Copper Mountain. I will make these my summer work boots to at least get wear out of them.

I wear a 10.5 according to the size guide, being measured in store and my current boots. Ordered a 10.5 and I couldn't even fit my foot all the way in the boot. Toes jammed at the end. Exchanged for an 11.5 which I have never worn. Still too small. Toes jammed into end of boot. I measure a 10.5 and think I would need a 13 before even coming close to fitting. Runs small is an understatement.

The Bugaboot I bought this month was the 4th Bugaboot I have bought in the last 15 years. I have been mostly happy with the boots except the eyelets for the laces tend to tear over time. Size 10 always worked. This boot, however, was too small and I had to return it. I did not reorder because Columbia did not have the next size up.

I bought these boots for working on Alaska's north slope. Read the rating of -35 and waterproof. My first day wearing them in Alaska we're in the negative teens. My toes burned and feet hurt. I bought a different brand (Baffin) and didn't look back. Well, it's too warm for the Baffins back above zero, so I brought these back into service. Even above zero my feet freeze. They are also NOT waterproof. The boots aren't being submerged and my socks get soaked. Would not recommend. And if I wasn't away from where I bought them, I'd return them. I like Columbia's products. The onmi-heat thermals have been amazing in -50 weather. These boots are going in the trash when I leave the slope.

Really dissatisfied with the boots. They're really constricting in the ankle-up area (ordered wide). My husband got severe shoe bites walking just a few blocks in them. He has typical feet; nothing wrong there. I am pretty sure its a design flaw. Returning them is so inconvenient.
