I like my shoes a bit wide so I got this in men’s size 7. I take a women’s 9 in Nike and 8 in New balance. the men’s 7 is a great fit, so it runs a bit small. This is a light weight comfortable shoe which is waterproof. Love it.

I generally wear an 8.5 or 9, and the 8.5 fit. I wear a 9 in Keen's. I like how grippy the treads are. Haven't had a chance to try out the waterproof aspect.

I have been looking for a waterproof walking/light hiking shoe for months and have probably ordered no less than a dozen options, (thank you Zappos for the ease of trying out shoes) these Salomons are the winner! The fit is excellent - a medium to narrow heel and relatively broad toe box with adequate support for a lightweight shoe. I also love the teal color which looks way more sporty than traditional day hikers.

These seem to run wide and a little big. They fit better once I put on thick hiking socks, but wondering how they’ll do in the summer. The color is very off though. I saw this in previous reviews but didn’t realize they were talking about this color. The grey is not grey. It’s definitely more of a drab green. The bummer about hiking shoes is that you don’t know how they’ll perform until you take them on a hike. But by then, it’s too late to return them.

I needed to replace my old Ahnus, which were perfect (until Teva bought them). I have worn Salomons before, and from the reviews it looked like a good fit- pun intended. I wear a 9 in most shoes, and these fit just right. They seem to be slightly narrow, which I need. They by no means fit like A or AA widths, just a tad narrow. I did try them with thicker socks and they felt tight in the length. Maybe a little more wear to stretch them out.The arch support on the left shoe was a little lacking, but since its just the one side that's probably on me. I don't care about looks; I hike, I don't admire my feet. That said, these are not totally ugly. Overall, for a snug fit, buy your regular size. If you want wiggle room or wear winter socks, go up a half size.

I liked the tread and the fact that the shoe is waterproof. Right show was perfect; however, the firm toe tip was uncomfortable on my longer left foot.

Lighweight with good support. Fit the bill for an upcoming trip with lots of planned hikes. Many reviewers cautioned that the show ran big. Usually an 8 or 8.5 I decided to order a 7.5 and an 8. Unfortunately Zappos did not have the 7.5 so I ordered the 8 and got the 7.5 on another site. 8 was way too big. 7.5 was good fit so I think these run pretty much a full size too big. Size aside I am very happy with how these feel. Wore on a first hike the other day and had none of the usual break in issues.

I have Solomon low hikers from 2 seasons ago that are perfect in a 7.5 with a lightly cushioned merino hiking sock. I am now looking for a waterproof style. These seemed like they might be just the tiniest bit shorter in length with those same merino socks and I might try both a 7.5 and an 8 if I buy them again in the future. Otherwise felt like a good fit with good support just walking around the house for 10 minutes. HOWEVER, I am retuning them because the Black version is the ugliest pair of hiking shoes I have ever seen. The other two color options were not for me, so I took a chance on the black - hoping for something subtle but attractive. Nope. Salomon needs to add a little contrast to this shoe with grey, white, or a bit of color.

I'm very disappointed that these shoes run so small. I was looking for a nice flexible, light trail shoe for summer, but this won't work. I typically wear a size 10 and my toes pushed against front of this shoe. It also runs narrow.

Like the non-GTX version, these are long and narrow. If you want to try them I suggest going down a half or even a full size, and don't bother if your feet are even slightly wide.

Love these hiking shoes. Lightweight and comfortable, easy to travel with.

It is hard to find a good waterproof shoe that comes in a wide width. These are comfortable and wide enough not to hurt my sore spots. I walk on a rocky beach so need a sturdy shoe that isn't too stiff.
